Pittsburgh Blue - Edina Ratings and Reviews
This is my first time at Pittsburgh Blue.
The aged ribeye was amazing, the loaded mashed potatoes were great, and the asparagus was think and delicious! I would definitely recommend to this restaurant to anybody looking to have a great meal. Although you will most likely spend over $100 on a date for 2, I would absolutely recommend going here.
Food was awesome! Prime rib was very flavorful and tender. Hash browns were great just as ordered.
Little disappointed with service. Had to ask to have beverage refilled. Waitress never came back to pick up bill . Good thing I was paying cash so I could just leave it on the table.
It was our first time being here and it was great! It’s upscale but not too upscale to break the bank. Steak was done as ordered and the 5 later chocolate mousse cake was 10 times bigger than expected but so delicious! Will recommend to others and will be returning.
My husband and I came to the restaurant to celebrate Valentines day. I ordered the Queen Cut Prime Rib which was fatty and tough. I then ordered Milet Migneon which was better however my husband was all done eating and our side dish was gone so eating a hunk of meat was not very satisfying. Very disappointing.
I was entertaining a customer for lunch and my meal was excellent. The steak was tasty and cooked appropriately. I also liked that, although it is not the most vegan friendly place, the waiter did a really good job of accommodating one of my guests dietary restrictions. I ate at the other location in Maple Grove before and I like that location as well.
Overall was a pleasant dining experience but for the cost I’d say was a little overrated, food was good but not brilliant. I’ve been to the Maple Grove location a few times and felt it was much better than the Edina location. Steak was good but have had better, had loaded baked potato and the potato really seemed tasteless, the toppings for the potato came in a separate serving to apply them yourself, but was not enough in there to cover the potato(like 1 spoonful of sour cream etc).
Overall, not bad but not great and at $180 for 2 people with no wine I felt was overrated
This was our first time at this restaurant however it definitely won't be our last! Service was top notch and the food overall was absolutely amazing. We had the Bourbon Maple Glazed Bacon as an appetizer. Although it had a great flavor, neither of us really liked it (think thick cut bacon with lots of fat but a really good glaze). I had the Filet "Oskar" - DELICIOUS & highly recommend. My boyfriend had King's Cut Prime Rib and thought is was delicious as well. We shared the Lobster Cheddar Hashbrowns however barely put a dent in it (covered an entire dinner plate!). It is more suited towards a group however the leftovers the next day were just has good. It was my boyfriend's birthday so he was given a dessert that we shared (so good!). The only thing we would do different the next time we go is skip the appetizer (warm bread is complimentary and easily could serve as an appetizer) and stick to the sides that are geared towards 1-2 people (unless we have at least 4 people at our table). We went on a Tuesday night and the place was packed so if you're wanting a quiet/intimate setting, then this is probably not the atmosphere geared towards that. The place, as a whole though, has a really great vibe! Without any doubt, you will not be disappointed!
Very disappointing lunch experience this week. We’ve eaten there many times. This time the food and presentation was subpar, usual dishes the chef was bored with or let someone else make. Our server, although very nice and proper, he never watched our table and I had to wave him down over and over with maybe 3 table in his section. And the worst, 3 feet across our aisle, a man who may have worked there not sure but did eat lunch had a misc server 1/2 sitting, laughing & showing things on his phone our whole lunch! It wasn’t worth the money by way of food, ambiance nor service. Very disappointed. It’s like no one was running the place and FOR SURE no manager on Tuesday, if there was... shame on them!
The service staff was outstanding, Cindy did an incredible walking everyone through the menu and making suggestions that were spot on. All the steaks were cooked to perfection and nobody left hungry. We had two birthdays being celebrated and all the staff did a great job to make it a special evening for everyone. We will definitely be back again!
