big chunks of lobster tossed in a light tarragon-lemon mayo with celery and cucumber in our butter-toasted bakery bun
I'd give them a 95/100... I thought the lighting could have been a smidge brighter as it was difficult to read the menu. Like 3% brighter. Other than that it was flawless, as always.
Food and service were excellent. This would be a great place to celebrate a special occasion.
My son and I celebrated our March birthdays with great conversation, lunch and beer. The service was great and our server even gave us complementary deserts. Great experience - we will be back.
Our server, food, and drinks were outstanding. Always love our experiences here! Thank you!
Consistently very good food and excellent service.
Wow, we had Jenna as our waitress. Wow, I am beyond words. She was fantastic and never had such great service.
We received fantastic service, I want to make that perfectly clear. To keep this short and sweet though, we ordered 3 steaks, 2 sides (loaded hash browns and the mushrooms), and an appetizer (sweet potato waffle fries). The appetizer was the only item that made it to our table with any heat left in it. All our steaks were cold and undercooked. My niece ordered medium and got medium rare (red, not all pink), my medium rare order was rare (cool and very little pink), and my wife’s rare came out blue. Still good steaks but the poor preparation couldn’t be ignored. As for the sides, the loaded hash browns were awful. There was a literal pool of oil on the plate. While service myself a small amount, I had to tilt the serving spoon to drain the oil the way you might do when eating cereal, and the excess oil ruined the taste. Even putting that aside, the bacon on the hash browns was hard and overcooked, and the cheese was a few slices of tilamook cheddar which were melted and dried out on top of the pile - they had the look of having sat under a heat lamp for a while. We pointed this out to the waitress and she did not hesitate to remove them from our bill without question, so again, great service. But the food was mediocre at best and didn’t come even close to justifying the hefty price tag. I won’t be returning.
The food was delicious as it always it. They gave a wonderful variety on their menu. Pittsburg Blue has a great alcohol menu. Our service was great. We love how friendly the staff is here from the hostess to the final food service.
The restaurant staff was very accommodating I a special request I made prior to dining. The service was truly 5-Star!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Our server Nikki was awesome!! Very knowledgeable, friendly, engaging, just all around greatness!!
Great food, drinks, and ambiance. Love this place.
Went on a Sunday night and sat at a table in the bar area. Wasn't very busy and our server was perfectly attentive. We we served great drinks and got a basket of warm bread. Bread looked great but had no flavor at all.
Dinner was delivered and it looked great. Steaks, mushrooms and loaded hash potatoes. Steaks were both cooked perfectly and like the bread they had no flavor at all. We got a filet and a bone in New York. Neither steak had been seasoned at all. Very dissapointing.
If I was to go back I would get apps and sit at the bar during their happy hour special.
The food and service was excellent!
Food was fine. However, we had a 6:15 reservation which they called me twice about and we still had to wait a half hour for the table. Made it very difficult with the ride situation with Metro Mobility for one of our people. The head guy at the reception desk were very rude.
Great food. Great service. Little pricey, but worth it.
The service was very slow! We had to stop our waitress to order our appetizer and then we waited 15 minutes after the appetizer was completed and had to wave her down to order our meal. She never asked about our drinks, even though it was obvious we needed refills. Had to stop her again to get a drink refill.
The food was bland and the filet mignon was not tender.
For that price there is a better steak out there. Brussel sprouts were very good.
Loved it! Always a great experience. Wonderful food, cocktails, service!
Overall it was good but but for the price of money we spent , ive had much better food for less to be honest .
The food and service were fantastic! Pittsburgh Blue is our favorite steakhouse in the Twin Cities! Absolutely wonderful. We have never had a bad meal or service!
We were underwhelmed by the quality of the food for the price.
Salad came then steak came very soon after while we were barely halfway through our salad. We ordered dessert to share and they brought two plates, two forks, and no knife the cut the cake. In line with the salad-to-steak quickness, when she brought dessert, they also brought the bill. Felt like we were rushed the entire time. From sitdown to done was about 1 hour. Way too fast. We wanted to have a dining experience but it felt like a chain restaurant like Chili's where you come in, eat, and leave quickly.
The food was amazing but the service was OUTSTANDING!!! Our server Nikki was the best! She was very friendly, knowledgeable and FUNNY! We haven’t laughed that hard in a while. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
This visit was to celebrate a friend’s new job. We had a great server! My first steak was too well done for what I ordered, but the second was perfect.
A bit noisy, but it didn’t keep us from enjoying the food! Have always loved PB - hubby and I go for our anniversary, as well. Definitely recommended.
Fabulous time from beginning to end.....hits all the marks!
Fantastic, great food and great service. We would go there again to celebrate. There were plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day.
The food and service were outstanding. You cannot go wrong to choose Pittsburgh Blue. Our food was of the highest quality. Our server was amazing and was very helpful with our choices. I cannot say enough good about this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
Two complaints, 1. We were seated next to the silverware and napkin cabinet, chatter and noise around that. There were other open table, booths. Should have said something right away and moved. Once we were down, decided to stay put. 2. Pistachio crusted walleye was way to crust heavy. No walleye flavor came through. Disappointed in that.
Great location. Loud but we managed to be at a table away from the bar. Our waiter was fabulous. My filet was excellent. Husbands porterhouse was good but certainly not the best he has ever had.
Very nice touch, brought a cake dessert for my husbands birthday celebration.
Was an excellent choice for my husbands birthday celebration.
Didn’t mike be seated in the back room
Food was decent but not incredible.
awesome And we would definitely return
Food is expensive. You get nothing extra not even a piece of bread. If your budget is unlimited it is nopt a bad place to eat.
The filets were odd shapes (not the nice think circular shape that you would expect) and the char on the outside of the steak was not appetizing. The bar was also backed up so when I ordered a glass of wine to go with my steak it didn't come out until I was finished eating. The sides were tasty and the crab legs were good.
Our waitress was amazing! She really made it a fun experience for us.
Our only negative (if you want to call it that) is that the food was really good, but for the price ($70 steak and $70 crab) it didn't WOW us. It was really good, but not amazing.
Saturday lunch with old friends - perfect. All of the entrees were beautiful and yummy, the Old Fashioned was strong, and the lemonade was refreshing. One of us ordered a hot fudge sundae with extra fudge, didn't need all of the ice cream but definitely ate all of the chocolate. Her eyes were twinkling.
Having only dined at Pittsburgh Blue for dinner, I wasn't sure about whether I would find lunch options that were lighter and healthier. We were pleasantly surprised by the large number of salads, soups and sandwiches including some combinations. I will order burrata any time I can find it on the menu and the salad with beets was very nice - though I would have preferred more burrata and less arugula. My dining partner had a great tasting french onion soup, salad and a very nice chicken salad sandwich. Our service was just outstanding. Pittsburgh Blue is also a solid choice for lunch.
Great service and fodd
The pistashio crusted Walleye was perfect for an alternative to a salad for lunch and Pitsburgh Blue did it perfect! House salad was crisp & cold. However, my lunch guest ordered the Seafood salad and was disappointed that the Shrimp were sliced vertically...very thin and only two but keep in mind two sliced in half! Other Seafood was sparse. For $21 the salad should have been more generous. with the Seafood items. There was plenty of the tomato, bacon but that is not why she ordered the salad. The service was excellent! I will still come back ...just not order the Seafood Salad!
The food in the environment were great as always. And the service was outstanding.
Our waitress was AMAZING!! However the food was average for the price we were paying. We would probably rather have gone to Manny’s.
