   A great dining experience!! This was our second time there celebrating birthdays. I really like sitting upstairs. The restaurant has such a nice ambiance. The service was terrific. The presentation and taste of the meals were superb.

   The food was delicious and the place was decorated beautifully. Our server was delightful. The drinks were okay and the bartender was very rude. She came to our table and rudely implied we will not be getting any drinks because it’s past last call. We informed her that we placed our drinks way ahead of time and she didn’t seem to care. When we notified the encounter to the manager he didn’t seem to care either. Aside from that the experience was pleasant. Dessert was delicious, would go back again.

   Went to Pthari on Mother’s Day. Busy but not crazy. Service and food were excellent. Nice atmosphere. Great first time visit.

   No second floor table was available even though we had specified one in the reservation. Server was excellent. This is the second time in a row we were given the worst table in the house, near the bar and the servers’ station. I have had this happen before and it is usually age prejudice. I will give them one more chance, maybe.

    I just tried Pithari for the first time and I thought it was very good. My friend and I split three appetizers and one main course. All were very good, with my favorite being the scallops. The meatballs were very heavy (lots of cheese involved) but delicious if you are in the mood for hearty (which I was). Service was mostly very good except for one lapse in which we were waiting on new plates for a few minutes. Overall a great experience. I would happily go back the next time I'm in Middletown.
