Anne Fennelley is amazing at her job!
The Pitcher Inn is a gem. Tracks, or the downstairs tavern room, is cozy & comfortable & beautifully decorated. Service was truly outstanding, as were the cocktails, albeit libations are quite expensive here. My husband & I split a charcuterie plate, which was superb: the cheeses & salumi are special, as are the chef’s inventuve & perfect pairings of relish & pickles. My husband enjoyed his parpadelli with mushroom cream, which just needed salt pepper to enliven it, and I enjoyed my delicately fried, crispy fish & chips. I heartily recommend this restaurant, but do note that drink prices are on the high side.
Another wonderful meal, good service and a lovely setting. Do not miss the cassoulet.
Pitcher Perfect 😁
This classic inn has been thoughtfully restored.
Wide, spacious dining room opens out onto a romantic, stone patio beside a rushing stream. Lush garden setting, string lights entwined with grape vines.
Our waiter, Will was extremely knowledgeable in the menu, food preparation and explained be the sublte differences of local cheeses and other farm to table ingredients.
Each dining room ( there are two) contain fireplaces which add warmth, charm and ambience. All tables are adorned with lit taper candles and crisp white table linens.
Original oil paintings adorn the walls.
Our Filet mignon was exceptional and cooked to perfection. The chef pays careful attention as to not to overwhelm the diner with extraneous ingredients. Presentation was artistic.
Dessert was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner. Marzipan Kumquat tart
With apple, fig compote and creme anglaise.
Highly recommend the Pitcher Inn and look forward to a return visit.
Absolutely loved the pitcher in! Our server was great, food was amazing! And next time I want to stay the night!
Wonderful food and ambiance, enjoyed cocktails downstairs at Tracks before we headed upstairs for dinner. Wanted to experience the restaurant to see if we wanted to host our son's college graduation here. Definite YES!!!
We ate in the downstairs bar, Tracks, and loved every dish we ordered as a group. The duck appetizer was delicious, as well as the burger, and cavatelli. Our server was very knowledgeable and took excellent care of our group.
We loved the Pitcher Inn. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts and dinners were fabulous and fresh with local produce.
This restaurant/ bar is welcoming and charming. The service is always very good and authentic and the food honest and diversified. Perfect for an après-ski or a more formal dinner.
We go to Pitcher Inn once a year, it's a 350 mile round trip but we think it's worth the drive. I had the scallop and fois gras appetizer and then the elk chop. The scallop dish was amazing and the elk chop was very good.
Warren Vt is up in the mountains and the Pitcher Inn is located in beautiful surroundings. The easy way to get there is on 89 but we recommend that you take the scenic route along Route 100, if you want even more fun take Route 116 though Lincoln, the Lincoln Gap is the steepest road in America.
We were very disappointed with our meal. We’ve been eating at the Pitcher Inn for years and have never seen a more unexciting menu or had such ordinary food. Service, of course, was fantastic. Hope this was just an aberration.
We eat here monthly and never have a bad experience.... just sad when they are so busy we can't get in on short notice.
Best dining experience in VT.
Stayed two nights at The Pitcher Inn while in town for a wedding nearby. Had the opportunity to have dinner in their place the first night, quite frankly, not expecting such a great experience. Beautiful, relaxing room, with a “New England” tone that provided exactly what we needed after a long day. The servers were friendly, informative, and provided just enough attention to keep us comfortable. Again, not expecting a spectacular meal, we got one. From the bread selection through desert, every course was perfectly proportioned and prepared. While one meal doesn’t necessarily make a restaurant good or bad, it was obvious that this wasn’t The Pitcher Inns “first rodeo”.
Wonderful and yummy as always! Will see you again soon!
This was an outstanding evening. The food was amazing. The service top notch. What a gem this is in Warren, Vermont.
We've enjoyed going here for years, and Tracks is as good as ever - but the food in the dining room has changed. Pasta entree was appetizer size and prices were high for portion sizes. Very disappointing.
Our table of two couples, were seated, and offers drinks. The servers were the best team I have ever seen. They all seemed to really enjoy their jobs. The first course was served. The calamari was seasoned with just the right amount of salt. The entries all four were served in unison. The servers were fantastic.
A lovely setting for our honeymoon. The staff was exceptionally friendly.
We had a delicious meal at The Pitcher Inn! We ordered the pork and the ribeye. Both were amazing! And the bread it great!
Everything was perfect- especially the service
Nice quiet restaurant, the food is excellent, and so is the service. Very personable. Good value for money also.
Wonderful service & ambience. I don’t mind spending good money on delicious food, but this was average at best. A bit too pricey for what was offered. Service was outstanding, however.
Great Love it.
The restaurant is not open for lunch and closed two days out of the week. It doesn’t make sense to me as there are limited food options in the area. It’s a Relais & Chateaux in a relatively quiet location, so one would expect the restaurant to stay open for lunch and 7 days a week for hotel guests.
We just love everything about this place. The service is impeccable, the food always delicious and worth every penny, the ambiance lovely - this is our favorite spot in Vermont and one of the best restaurants in New England. Thank you!
This restaurant is a gem. This was our second time at the Inn, and the food and service was impeccable. Terrific wine list. English pea risotto and stuff cornish hen were superb. The setting is perfect Vermont in quaint Warren. I can't recommend it strongly enough for a special dinner or for a romantic occasion.
I went here for my birthday weekend!! The Inn is beautiful. The staff are so very friendly and helpful. Dinner was amazing. I would highly recommend!! I can't wait to go back!
First class setting.
First class dining.
First class beverages.
First class service and attention to detail.
Simple......if you have the opportunity......go!
Everything about this place is superb!
5 star service, ambiance, food and wine! Unbelievable experience for my birthday dinner. We had a private chef tasting in the wine cellar, and all we had to do was ask for the reservation. This is the hidden gem of VT. Superb!
Hate paying a lot of money for something I "could have made better" at home. The Pitcher Inn was anything but....It was quiet, warm, inviting, and the food was outstanding...and served with a smile. Can't wait to go back. Gil and Lisa
Another lovely dinner. I am happy to see beef tenderloin back on the menu. And this serving did not disappoint, well-cooked, tender and flavorful.
Enjoy your vacation.
Our waitress, Erica, was awesome.
We've never had anything but an exceptional experience there and Betsy is a personal favorite of ours! Great ambiance, food and wine and we always try to treat our guest to a special night out at Pitcher Inn.
Met our usual high expectations.
We had a wonderful experience. A bit overpriced. Thought the menu could use more choices.
We absolutely loved our stay. The food was divine and the service was outstanding. Best overnight we've ever had. We also had massages which were fabulous. The only reason I gave volume a less than perfect rating was because there were two families staying together with 5 boys who were too loud during breakfast. I'd like to go again in the summer so I can enjoy the beautiful deck and private balcony.
Lovely and quiet place to dine. Halibut preparation is memorable. Looking forward to dining here again!
The best fine dining experience you can have in Mad River Valley. Beautiful dining rooms, perfect ambiance and impeccable service, Especially if you have Will as your server. Although, the servers are all great there.
It was okay.. actually we were somewhat disappointed. We went to The Common Man last year and loved it- couldn’t say the same about the food and drinks this time around. What we liked: the octopus and the cappellacci pasta ragu dish. The halibut was in a swimming pool of brothy sauce, the breading was mushy and fish itself undercooked. The steak and the mushroom bucatini dishes were okay. Cocktails and wines by the glass were underwhelming.. much different overall than the experience we had there last year. And the bill for 2 adults, 2 kids under 11 was close to $400. We wish them the best, but probably won’t be returning.
