Overall great food and service. Just what we needed after a long day at the hotel pool. We wanted something casual and easy for the kids. My 6 y/o loved the Steak and Lamb kids kabobs!! Our 3 y/o wanted Mac and cheese and the chef was able to make that for him even though it was not on the menu! Would highly recommend if you are in the Wailea resort area looking for a casual evening out.
Not very fancy but it’s definitely worth trying!!! Service, ambiance and food was great. It’s approximately the third time we’ve been here. Always consistent. Worth going to for sure!!
Always our first stop when visiting Maui. Catch of the day is always innovative and delicious. Very affordable place to dine
Great lunch with fresh fish.
I thought the kebab was just average. My husband had the gods plate and really enjoyed it. Our waiter was very good, but could be more educated on gluten-free. We sat outside and it was very nice and romantic. Had a nice breeze and a waterfall close by.
Attended Pita Paradise with a friend for a birthday dinner. The waitress and wait staff were very attentive and pleasant. Our food was delicious, tasty and well prepared. I would recommend this restaurant as one to definitely try in the Wailea area. As locals, it is nice to find a consistently good restaurant with reasonable prices. Parking was easy. When we first sat down to eat at 6:15 P.M., we could easily have a conversation, however, as the evening progressed the noise level definitely rose with the popularity of the restaurant.
Weak service and low grade food. The kabobs are dry and tasteless. Too much pita bread-basically all they serve. Prices are low for WAILEA but the experience is too.
The Lamb is the best on the Island. The fish is caught that day by the owner of the restaurant. The bar tender said, "Every one who works here gets along with each other." All this makes for a fabulous dining experience.
Had the burger & appetizer platter. Both dishes were great.
Better food than Mama's ridiculously overpriced dinner on the beach, but the ambience is a little off kilter. It's a mediterranian restaurant with a killer, ice cream and baklava layered dessert and well executed fish of the day. Service was better than the typical Mauian restaurant. Easy parking. Really excellent food. I can't speak highly enough about how good it was especially compared to what you get for twice the price elsewhere and this was better.
Booked via open book and confirmed- turned up to be asked if we had booked by a member of staff (genuinely looked confused that we had) passed to 2nd member of staff - who again asked whether we had booked!
Inside empty apart from member of staff eating at bar - sat outside with few other guests
Server polite but we really felt we’d walked into someone’s house and expected them to feed us! Kebob was okay but I made mistake of ordering lamb gnocchi - just awful - only thing edible in it was the actual lamb which was tender
Previous visits to Hawaii Pita Paradise was a gem and we ate there couple times during holiday - would now never return definitely lost it’s way. Needs ambience and engaging staff ...
Fantastic coconut Mai Thais!
Very few options for vegetarians but sooo delicious! We enjoyed the food very much. Easily top 3 in restaurants on Maui for us.
Very pleasant restaurant and they can make some vegan items.
Only tried two dishes. The Gyro plate was excellent other than I am a believer that lettuce has no place on a Greek Gyro, and, they obligingly removed it. The lamb kabob was good on the second try but the first try was cooked a way past the medium requested and was dry and tough. This time they obligingly replaced it and while one might quibble it was still slightly overdone. it was not dried out nor overly tough and the seasoning was excellent. We would reorder the dish but the next time ask for medium rare.
Pita Paradise never fails to deliver. We come back every time we're in Maui. Our favorite appetizers are the mushroom in a lamb gravy and the pita bread which is wonderful.
The owner brings his own fresh catch in so you're never quite sure what the fish of the day will be, but it will be fresh island fish, that's for sure.
And something as simple as the absence of loud music and TVs everywhere make it a great location for a peaceful dining experience.
Always great tasting food and great service.
Lunch date with girlfriends for a birthday, food was very good, service excellent and delivered a courtesy dessert with candles for the birthday ladies. Really nice touch. Inside dining was very loud and was the only negative thought and it was acceptable, but not what we would have liked. Fresh fish and salad varieties were ordered by the table.
A little disorganized to begin with. So it took us twenty minutes to get our order taken. Once that happened, it was quick and the food was great.
I’d go again
The food was very tasty and the helpings were decent. The service was friendly but slow. The big problem was no air conditioning. On Maui. What's with that? It was like a thousand degrees inside the restaurant. We might have stayed longer but it was intolerably hot. We all had to come home to take a cold shower.
Wonderful service!! Great food..wonderful Mediterranean food!!
This was our second visit to Pita in Paradise. The freshly caught fish is amazing and all ingredients are locally sourced. The outside patio is very pleasant, a little oasis! The service is warm and pleasant. A great place for a family dinner. We will return.
We had a long wait for service to our table and our order took a while. A party of 6 who was seated a half hour after us got faster service and their food came out within 15 minutes after we received our meal after we waited 40 minutes.
Food was good. It was nice price point and good change of pace from island fare. Venue could use a little updating, but overall a good experience.
We had a wonder experience at Pita Paradise. It’s a low key, affordable option with good solid food in expensive Wailea. Our server was exceptional and always kept our water filled and even gave detailed explanations of the gluten friendly menu options for my son.
Our server was slow and didn’t split our check when asked to do so. She was mediocre at best.
Reliable and good
Fod and service were excellent, I had the lamb gnocchi and it was outstanding!
Great very fresh tasting food! They also have items marked on the menu that can be altered to be gluten free which is great, but some were listed that way even though they really couldn’t be made gluten free (I.e. the meal was half pita bread and 1/4 falafel which they add gluten to here). However the food is excellent and not quite as pricey as other Wailea restaurants. Drinks are also good and more reasonable ($11 versus $15-18 elsewhere). Service is good and most are quite friendly (our lunch waitress one day was nicer than our dinner waitress another). Inside had a/c when we went for lunch but not for dinner however it was still cooler than outside! We make dinner reservations although it’s never been very busy when we’ve gone.
Food selection is limited based on the catch of the day. We found a plastic bread bag tie in one of the entrees. They did not comp us for the dinner item but brought us a small dessert which we did not order. We have come here for many years and always enjoyed but this experience was less than satisfactory.
Pita Paradise always ceases to amaze me! It’s a must to start of with the Zaziki Bread, it will compliment anything you order. And trust me, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. My favorites have always been the teriyaki chicken kabobs, falafel pita sandwich and Teriyaki pita sandwich. You must try EVERYTHING! Oh and you can’t forget about the finisher...Baklava Ice Cream Cake (out of this world dessert)
This spot is a gem. If you are looking for delicious fresh food; nice ambience and great service this restaurant is for you!
Good food but service was slow even when the restaurant wasnt crowded
Great option in Wailea! Really enjoyed our meal at Pita Paradise
Food is amazing went twice during our trip would definitely go back
Thank you Tammi! Look forward to future visits!
Best dessert on Maui - Baklava Ice Cream Pie. Food is always fresh and nicely prepared
Delicious chicken caesar pita and spicy falafel pita. Service was very friendly and attentive.
Thank you Pete! We are so appreciative of your review! See you soon!
The food was hot and Mediterranean. The waiter was very attentive to our needs. The menu has plenty of items to choose from . We enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere.
Much appreciated Brian! We strive for all these qualities that you mentioned!
