About Pistache French Bistro
PISTACHE is a Parisian-style French bistro with a Mediterranean twist. It serves simple, delicious meals made with fresh, local and imported products. It seats 180 people and is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
Prices are moderate and the recipes nutritionally healthy. Service is casual and efficient. The atmosphere is upbeat with a definite European flair. The interior is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau, which defined most brasseries and bistros opened in 1920"s Paris. It boasts cozy seating with numerous red leather banquettes, a full bar and giant antique mirrors. The restaurant has a feel of "Always been there". It is classic, retro-modern and sophisticated but unpretentious.
The outdoor patio overlooks Centennial Park, the Fountains and the Intracoastal Waterway. It is shaded with large umbrellas and seats 30 people in a Riviera-like setting.

Pistache French Bistro Ratings and Reviews
The birthday celebration for my friend was amazing. The food and service was wonderful. A special thank you so much for finding one of your staff to sing Happy Birthday to her in French. She loves the language and it meant a great deal to her to hear even her name spoken in French. You all went out of our way; thank you again.
we have been to Pistache before and had a pleasant experience but we won’t ever return. Service was VERY slow & getting the bill interminable apparently because we were using our open table coupon. It was unacceptable. It’s too bad since the food was good but it’s not like there are no other options in Palm Beach Co.
Maybe on another night this place is fine, but on New Year's Eve, it was far from ok. I was up all night with stomach cramps. Something they served was just not right. I was sick for hours on New Year's Day. We arrived, out table was not ready. We sat at the bar, drinks for 4 were almost $50. This is all way over the top ridiculous. You won't see us back there again!
We were delightfully surprised to find this restaurant on busy Clematis St. The moules frites included the most tender mussels I've ever tasted in a perfect seafood/butter broth. Service was excellent (thank you Jeremy), everything reminded me of France, from the red banquettes to the creme brulee. A truly memorable meal of authentic food and ambiance. Loved it!
I used Open Table to make the reservation, and arrived on time. Checking in, the staff seemed too much in a hurry, and paid little attention to me saying we have a reservation, and gave them my name. One person speaking to another said, "what is the name?" Oh, yes, and then we went off to a small table.
The next day, Open Table sent me an email saying that Pistache reported that we did not come to the restaurant, and were a no show. The front desk needs to improve their pace, and get it right. This is the 8th time eating there, and it is always a rush. At 8:30, there were many tables available. The food was OK, and that and the wines are overpriced. The waiter spilled some wine...also in a big rush.
My family went for Xmas day dinner. We made our reservation 2 weeks prior and we knew there was a price fixed menu. All five of us ordered the peppercorn filet and the server came back to tell us they ran out. We had to substitute another steak that was not on the menu. Definitely not a filet. Our dinner also took 2 1/2 hours. The service was very slow. We were very dissapointed.
Had a reservation, arrived on time. Only table available was in the center immediately next to reception area. Pointed out we had an Open Table reservation. Response was “everyone has a reservation; inappropriate, at best. Seated at a high priced bar and 20 minutes for an acceptable table. Food was good and service was attentive. Very poor first impression. With many good restaurants in W. Palm Beach, doubt I’d return to this one.
Upon arrival I was somewhat disappointed. I had made a reservation for a window table for 4 people at 12:00 Noon weeks ago. I arrived at the appointed time and there was no table available. Two tables in the center of the room were put together to accommodate us.
We celebrate our granddaughter's birthday here for the past 7 years. This was the first meal that was truly horrible. Some of the food was brought out cold. The waiter never brought each of us menus; requests for beverages when unanswered - very disappointing and very surprising as well. Not the norm.
We went with another couple to celebrate my birthday. My husband started with the escargot.
He said it was as good as he has ever had. My friend and I shared the delicious burrata. I had the swordfish, Which was delicious, the others had coq a vin, and chicken. My husband had the Brussels sprouts as his entree and he raved about it! Will definitely return!
As always, the food was very good. The service was AWFUL!!!!
After our order was taken, our waiter vanished. We had asked for bread. None came to our table. We asked for refills on water. None came. I finally got up, took a carafe from a serving table and I refilled our glasses. People who arrived after us were being served.
We finally asked to see a manager and he assigned a different server who completed the service. I did something I have never done before. I left no tip.
We will return because the food is good and it is very convenient to the nearby theater. If the same waiter approaches to take our orders, we will request a different server.
