Pisces Rising is a celebration of Florida cuisine located in beautiful Mount Dora. Established in 2003, the restaurant offers sweeping views of Lake Dora with multiple options for dining in the main dining room, semi-private, private, and outside areas of the establishment. Pisces Rising is a proud supporter of regional sustainability and utilizing fresh, local ingredients in culinary dishes first and foremost whenever possible. The scratch kitchen, referred to as the "Heart of the House", consists of a team of passionate Chefs who put their love and care into each dish. That passion stretches to the service team whose goal is to deliver the best hospitality delivered with warmth and grace.

                                                                          There’s not enough words to describe how incredibly awesome this was. Took my boyfriend for his birthday. The service and the food was off the charts. Excellent the scallops were tender and beautiful. The calamari was not over coated not salty just beautiful. We will be back five star from this reviewer.

                                                                          Everyone was so helpful- there was a little delay with our food, but our server and the manager handled it beautifully, and when we did get our food everything was delicious! Great experience!

                                                                          Had a reservation for 6:30 pm arrived 10 min early and was told a 10 min wait. Was told to wait in bar. Kept checking with hostess every 10 min, mostly ignored. 40 minutes later had to ask for manager and hostess suddenly put us at a table in the bar, not the dining room. Manager came to table not to apologize but to make excuses about how hard it was to sea9t all their guests, which was why we made a reservation in advance. Even received text message reminders to be on time. Food is always good and consistent. Front of house management needs serious work. If you can’t accommodate your reservations you shouldn’t offer them. 40 minutes later wait for a reservation is unacceptable.

                                                                          We were celebrating our anniversary, which I noted on Open table, and Pisces Rising had a card on the table for us. Everyone from the hostess, server and food server wished us a Happy Anniversary. They even provided a complimentary dessert! They gave us a priority table!

                                                                          Lovely place with a view of the lake with inside or outside seating. We all loved our meals and we had a wonderful server. I had the Shrimp and Grits - which I had enough of for another meal at home!

                                                                          We used to live in mt Dora and frequently walked down here to eat. Now we live near the villages and drive down here. Point is, distance irrelevant. This is just a well staffed highly trained and exceptional dining experience in the middle of downtown mt Dora. Worth the drive. Or the walk.

                                                                          I was very disappointed in the food. Our waiter was very good, however, he forgot my salad! I asked his opinion on the food and he recommended the scallops. They were absolutely awful little tiny frozen bites not even browned or hot. When I told the server he forgot my salad he never even asked if I wanted it or anything else. I felt that $45 for five tiny scallops. The size of a nickel was completely overpriced! As were the calamari fries! They were mixed in with fried green beans. It was ridiculous and we will never be back. Wait time was also very long from the time we received it until we got our first drinks 25 minutes later.
