   Excellent ambiance! Wonderful food! The young duo was FANTASTIC. Waiters were attentive and great with their helpful suggestions. The decor is warm, earthy and we had a view of the Parroquia from our table. We had the lamb shank, rigatoni and red snapper. For starters we had endives and beef empanadas. Their presentation was amazing! Bowls, serving ware and earthenware glasses and plates were hand made. It was an amazing experience. I would DEFINITLEY eat here again. Thank you to all the wonderful wait staff, and front desk people for a memorable night!

   I love fine dining. I had one of the best meals in a very long time! Exquisite flavors and cooked. to perfection. We ate there three times, from dining in the restaurant to alfresco on the beautiful patio overlooking San Miguel de Allende!

   We had a wonderful dinner at this very nice restaurant. The service was very good and friendly, the ambience is extremely special, and the food was outstanding. I had the best cheese appetizer. While it is very expensive, for the food portions, it is an excellent restaurant.

   Every detail was superb. Our table ordered the potato gnocchi, carpaccio de pulpo and tomato salad as starters. For dinner two of us had the red snapper and creamy rice. I could eat that creamy rice for the rest of my life and never get tired of it. Someone also ordered the short rib with egg yolk. Loved it. We all split a delicious dessert that was the special for the evening. We each had a carajillo to top off our meals. So good. Service was great as was the ambience.

   This was the third time in about 2 months I have dined at Pirules and each time has been consistently wonderful. I have lived in San Miguel for over 8 years and Pirules is definitely my new favorite. Why? Honestly, Because of the overall dining experience. Whoever is in charge, has really shown an attention to detail --and it shows. Yes, it is a bit pricy, but I´m willing to pay for all the boxes that this place checks. (1) Setting/ambience: view of the Parroquia framed by the jacarandas....the entry =GORgeous outdoor bar with a bartender that knows how to make THE perfect martini....indoor dining room= cozy + welcoming and relaxing background music to accompany dinner ( finally, a SMA restaurant that does this right). (2) Service: From Daniel, the valet who parks your car and gives you a warm + genuine welcome, to Esmerelda, the hostess who greets you with her megawatt smile and escorts you to your table, to the knowledgeable and polished waitstaff. They are effortlessly professional. (3) The food!= Interesting and varied menu and I have sampled several items- from the red snapper to the gnocchi to the special pork belly empanada with green mole. Not only delicious but the presentation of each dish was beautiful and thoughtful. Even the creative way they present the check/bill ( I won´t spoil the surprise) is just a lovely + whimsical touch at the end of the meal. Can´t wait to return.
