Everything was great!! We had both vegetarian and the mixta paella. They were amazing!!! Love this place!!!
Good food, but not amazing. Our server was Wes, service was great. He was very attentive. The food was good. To start we had the pan con tomate, the patatas bravas, and the albondigas. Pan con tomate- very enjoyable. If you don’t like garlic or think even just moderate amount is too much, this dish is not for you. I like garlic so I enjoyed it. Albondigas- my thoughts towards ordering meatballs at restaurants is ehh they’re meatballs, you can do this or that, add this or that to them. But in the end they’re meatballs. But these were very good. Very good flavor, not dry, in a tomato sauce and with grated cheese on top. Patatas bravas- lacking. Seriously lacking. The brava sauce is basically just tomato paste. There are many renditions of brava sauce but typically it’s a nice bright orange, and has cayenne, and/or paprika. This had no flavor except that of tomato paste.
Next we had the Braised octopus and tinned mussels.
Braised octopus- fantastic, would come back for this dish. Very nice portion of octopus. It’s on a bed of crostini, and I believe scallion aioli. But I may be mistaken. Tinned mussels- great presentation. Comes literally in a tin. Like how you would get canned tuna. Very creative. The sauce the dish is cooked in is nice. But the texture of the mussels is just off. Maybe it’s me. I don’t remember reading how it was prepared so that could be my fault. Next and last round of food we had the Gambas Pil Pil, and the steak skewers. Gambas Pil Pil- nice portion, nice to share for up to a 4 top. Cooked in a garlic, red pepper flake (I believe) and a red curry sauce. would definitely come back for this as well. Steak skewers- I personally loved them, they had great flavor with a chimichuri sauce. Cooked to a perfect medium. Perfect for me. BUT my girlfriend would have preferred they be cooked through a little more. And brought up a good point, at time of ordering the servers should request was temp they want the skewers cooked to.
Very good traditional tapas and Spanish food!
Highly recommend the Pan de Tomate and octopus as starters. The meatballs, steak skewers and chicken skewers were great. Try the bacon- wrapped dates- fantastic!!
We didn't love the food and the cocktails were watered down. It was hot and muggy in there too.
Great service and excellent menu of good quality tapas.....it was fairly quiet
Food is always fantastic. Great value for money. Service could be a bit better.
We had reservations at 630p and when we told the host it was our 18th Anniversary, she did not acknowledge this... The restaurant was not very busy, maybe a 1/4-1/3 full and we were seated at a table by large column rather than a window. Our server and the food was okay We decided not to mention our anniversary to our server as the host did seem interested when we had mentioned on arrival. It was not the experience we were hoping for.
We had been here before with friends and at that time enjoyed the food and ambiance. This time just did not meet our expecations.
Our dinner of tapas and red sangria was wonderful! Our favorite dish was the clams with chorizo, but each of the five dishes we tried were delicious and perfectly cooked. Our server was friendly and helpful as well. I wish I lived in Seattle - I would be a regular at Pintxo!
We went with another couple and shared several plates among the four of us. It was wonderful to get to taste so many different flavors at one dinner.
Awesome! Better than much of the food in Spain. Loved the service too.
The most flavorful paella we have yet found in Seattle. Both mixto and vegetarian very good, with quality ingredients. Reasonable in price, too.
Pintxo had an excellent selection of tapas, but even though we were eating early (6:30 PM) they were out of several items. The restaurant was not busy so it seems strange to have run out of items that early in the evening. I recognize that have a small kitchen, Overall the food was good, and a couple were outstanding. The Albondigas and the tuna were exceptional. Unfortunately the same could not be said of the steak skewers, which were chewy and unevenly cooked. Our server was competent, organized and efficient. She made up for some of the problems with items being unavailable. Overall, I would go back to Pintxo if that is where someone wanted to go, but I would not seek it out.
Food: We had a selection of really delicious tapas. We ended up with nine dishes for two people, and perhaps could have gotten by with eight. Octopus, fried Padron peppers, and foie gras mousse were standouts, everything else was very good.
Drinks: I was underwhelmed by the grapefruit/rosemary gin & tonic, but the white Sangria was excellent and my wife had a delicious mezcal-based cocktail.
Service/Ambiance: Our server was excellent, though we did have a couple of longer-than-expected waits at the beginning of the meal. It was busy and noisy when we arrived at 8pm on Tuesday, but quieted down as things cleared out.
I was a little disappointed that the Pintxos weren’t served as single pintxos like in Spain. My braised octopus was charred. I just returned from northern Spain and was hoping that the experience would be similar. It wasn’t.
Great location with hipster vibe. Wide open window seats enabled us to see the Seafair parade, which was so amazing! Clams were so fresh and we were able to enjoy some discounts due to happy hour event. It’s only the Paella Mixta we ordered was a bit too salty. Otherwise it would be perfect.
I loved the sangria, the melon salad, and the chocolate torta. But, the best part was our server! Erin made our dinner and evening! ♥️♥️♥️
The venue is nice, but the staff did not follow out orders good. We indicated from the beginning that we were not sharing and they would place the orders in the middle of the table. We requested if they could separate checks and they said no. The attitude of our waitress wasn’t courtesy. It took us 30 mins to pay our bill because everyone had to add up. It created an inconvenience to my guest.
Loved this place for Spanish tapas as a Spanish teacher.
Lots of comfortable seating and fun ambience. Made a reservation online and we were greeted and seated quickly.
The staff could not have been nicer and made a really friendly effort to get our order in right as happy hour was ending.
Food was great. Had patatas bravas just like in Spain. Tortilla española was fantastic and served cold...the way I prefer it. Fun, great Spanish tapas and drinks! Great place to meet up with friends on a Saturday evening.
The best thing I had at Pintxo was my virgin Mojito that I ordered off menu from the bar. I was very underwhelmed with food we ordered (fois toast and clams with sausage) I love tapas. I have been an avid fan of the Harvestvine in past years and was hoping for similar experience. That was not to be.
While the food was very tasty, I would say the portions did not match the price. I recognize this is subjective and I recognize that the restaurant is a tapas but $6 dollars for 4 Bacon Wrapped Dates seems a bit high. Same for the 1 Empanada de Carne cut in half. When I ordered I was told it was two empanada's not two-halfs.
Your Tinned smoked mussels and Mixta Paella got great reviews from my party for taste but not so much for price. Your Red Sangria was a bit ordinary considering we were told you make it inhouse and is aged somewhat.
The only thing I was disappointed about is that they didn’t have it. I really was looking forward to eat it there.
Fantastic food and good service. A bit pricey but good for special occasions
Birthday for a friend
Went to happy hour. Ordered everything on the happy hour food menu. They were good, but some of it tasted a little dull. Not sure how long the clams had been cooked. The meatballs seemed dull. I remember all of it being more vibrant. BUT, it was all pleasant and happy hour goes until 7 pm. I'd be more selective from the specials and regular menu the next time I go.
Pintxo has exceptional food and attentive service. Wine and cocktails superb. Every dish was like a party in my mouth. Wish I lived in a Seattle so I could be a regular.
An amazing and fun staff! Would definitely go back again.
Solid! We enjoyed it very much!
I have been to Pintxo many times, although at their previous location. They have moved from 2nd to 4th and the newer spot is much larger and very nice.
Food is still the star here and we shared several dishes: foie gras toast, prawns, fried peppers, octopus, potatoes, and steak skewers. Everything was excellent but I would give a special shout out to the foie gras on toast. Exquisite.
Pinxto has a great selection of wines that pair well with an eclectic menu.
We eat at Pintxo a lot and Saturday night did not disappoint! As usual, the food was delicious, interesting and served by lovely, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Our large group was very impressed with the experience. I highly recommend planning group events at one of the large tables in the raised dining room area. It felt like we were put in a special area for private parties, while still being able to be a part of the fun restaurant atmosphere. Also, order the octopus - it's delicious!
Out of towners, took the OT recommendation and not disappointed. We love tapas and sharing. The stuffed dares were so far we ordered seconds. The foie gras was uniquely prepared and very good. Meatballs, delicious. Steak skewers, also good. Sangria was very strong. Service was good, but our server might have been stoned. Job got done so not really a complaint, more amusing. All told, it was great experience.
A hot and sunny day, warm, stale water awaits you on the tables.
The Tapas present well - but seriously lack flavor! Every dish is under seasoned and bland. The sangria is along the same line, bland and just ok. Overall, my 13 year old cooks a better meal with more flavor than whomever this chef is.
The servers, while very sweet, abandon you for an hour at a time. In three hours for a large party we saw our server three times.
This food was a disappointment. We won’t be back.
Had several different dishes. Everything was top notch. We would definitely be back when in the area. Also very attentive service. The dessert menu was a bit lacking, but we were so stuffed it didn't matter much.
We were there for the Seattle Pride Parade. They were very busy, but the service was the best. Attentive all the time and quick. Food was amazing, we had several different dishes amoung our group of 8. We stayed about 3 hours and enjoyed every minute. We will be back.
PINTXO is a hidden gem - superb Spanish tapas neighborhood restaurant - amazingly good, fresh food, great service and ambience. Wonderful place to meet with friends and share dishes.
Amazing waiter Jonny. I give them high marks.
I don't usually write bad reviews, but the food was not good. I was very surprised as this restaurant came up on a number lists for restaurants to try in Seattle. The service and ambiance was great, but the food was over salted and unremarkable. We ordered about 4-5 dishes and the only one I can say that was tasty was the bread and butter. The portions were also very tiny, even for a tapas place. Surprised and disappointed about this place.
Good tapas. Good service and ambiance. Overall, enjoyed our meal. Kids liked the roasted potatoes and abondigas (meatballs) Highly recommend.
The best tapas I’ve had in North America! Many of the tapas my partner and I tried were just as good, if not better than the same dishes I ate in Barcelona. Pintxo will be my first stop on my next trip to Seattle.
