One of the best dinners we’ve had in Wilmington. Def check this place out if you are visiting.
Superb service, great food, good ambiance. would recommend. steaks were top notch and cooked perfectly, pork chop was good, slightly overcooked but presentation on all was amazing.
We were seated on time; our server was on top of it all thru the dinner. The wine selection was good. Not much to pick from the dinner menu. Only 1 fish and it was Flounder which I can prepare at home and it's not in season, so it was probably frozen.
I ordered the Duck Tacos. 2 appetizer tacos, 1 very small piece of duck in each. If it were an app., it would have been OK. My husband had a pork chop that was large and delicious, and he shared it with me. We had a Persimmon salad to start, there was 1 very small sliver of Persimmon in it, although the greens were good. Not worth it.
Needless to say, I was disappointed in the food.
Wonderful experience on all levels. Our server Nikki, was knowledgable and very attentive. We enjoyed every part of our meal and topped it off with the requisite Chateau d’ Yquem. We will return.
Always a wonderful dining experience. The flounder was succulent and flavorful. The beef tartare is delish with homemade onion rings as a bonus. Paired with a brilliant red wine, my husband had the confit chicken. We’re super fans of anything confit and this did not disappoint! If you haven’t had chicken or pork from Changing Ways farm- you are truly missing out.
Perfection every time! Ask Luis or Jeff for a wine recommendation, they went let you down!
My downtown go to place for dinner. Never disappoints food is always creative and delicious.
Cheese plate was of good quality but sparse. Oysters were small and tasty. Chicken dish was very good. Pork chop was excellent as were veggies with both dishes. Ice cream could have been smoother but had good vanilla flavor. Ginger roll needs a little more flavor. Wines were excellent. Service was excellent. Wood chair could use padding. Noise level was rather high.
Compliments to the chef for his ability to combine wonderful flavors and beautiful presentations.
Hands down one of the best restaurants in the south. A hidden gem of amazing food, great cocktails, and outstanding service. A regular go to for any special occasion.
New Year’s Eve
Great for New Years Eve
We went for New Year’s Eve and there was a fixed price menu. One of the people with us is Vegan, which I pointed out when we made the reservation. They called a week out to tell me that they would accommodate her, and when we got there we found that the chef had created a special menu just for her.
The food was exquisite. The service was phenomenal. Just a fantastic overall experience.
Hands down easiest five star to give. Service is always impeccable, fantastic menu, great wine list and the best drinks in town. It’s obvious everyone loves their job and makes us feel like family. We recently visited for their New Years Eve menu and wow…. Certainly the best meal of my life.
New Years Eve
New Years took us on an amazing culinary ride! Just decadent and filthy (meaning happy foodies dance). We make a stop here every time we are in town and feel like it’s hanging with celebrities (I mean the staff is that amazing). Just a dining delight each and every time. We always leave euphoric and eager for the next meal there!
I can never say enough good things about Pinpoint. They deserve a special shout out for their New Year’s Eve tasting menu and wine pairing including the fun of the always amazing staff dressed to the nines. It was an event in the very best way and everything was incredible. My personal fav was the Pork Fat Poached Monkfish over a Blue Polenta Cake. And if you happen to have a GF diner in your party - Pinpoint makes the considerations seamless. You can dine with confidence! Cheers!
Absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back!
This restaurant never disappoints and our meal last night was no exception. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic. The menu changes regularly so it’s always a surprise to see what the chef has planned.
I’m so happy we spent our last night in Wilmington at this restaurant! The oysters were so fresh and everything was delicious.
Our server did an excellent job of welcoming us and explaining the menu. Our family was so impressed with the presentation, taste and portion sizes. The menu changes depending on the season and is very creative!
Always delicious. Amazing service. Can't wait to go back!
First time at the Pin Point. We were celebrating a birthday. We were greeted with a happy birthday card on the table and two flutes of sparkling Rose. We knew the menu changed daily and thought that might be a problem. It certainly was not.
We elected to share a salad and a fish dinner. Both were exceptional. The bread was excellent. The service could not have been better. It was a special dinner in every regard. My only regret is we should have saved room for desert, they all sounded delicious. Special thanks to Tim our server. We look forward to a return visit.
Always good food and service. Drinks and food were slow coming out. We were told they aren’t used to being open on Tuesdays, which didn’t make sense. But a good time was had by our group of 4.
Go here at least once every time we are anywhere near Wilmington and they have never disappointed us. Cannot recommend highly enough, especially for special occasions.
Another awesome meal here. Possibly the best pork chop I've ever eaten, and my wife's apple curry was to die for.
Wonderful food with depth of flavor. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
My wife’s birthday
My husband and I dined here for the first time and was very impressed with the food and service! Everyone was very friendly and attentive! Our waitress was Taylor and she was spot on! The food was delicious and well presented! We look forward too dining here again in the near future!
Holiday dining with family - GREAT ! Outstanding service , wonderful meal from starters to desserts with pairings . We all loved it.
Food was very good; but portion size was small for the high price. Service was excellent.
Our dinner was very good with fresh ingredients! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Wilmington.
Noise level was at the brink that it was damaging. Server - think her name was Taylor was excellent. Apple salad was excellent cheese plate was too expensive. Scallops dish did not have much flavor while shrimp dish was excellent.
Amazing as alway!
Pinpoint is a fun restaurant. The menu is creative and the food well prepared. You will sit close to fellow diners and the ambience is sort of like a sitting at one big table for your meal. The waitstaff is excellent; very friendly and welcoming and you are well taken care of for your dining experience. This is a 'fun' place so if looking for an intimate, romantic environment, I would not suggest this place. We had a wonderful time here and I would definitely recommend the food.
Pinpoint continues to impress. It’s in our top 2 here in Wilmington. The food is high quality with lots of unique and interesting flavors. I can’t recommend it any stronger. Give it a shot and you won’t be disappointed.
Always exceeds expectations!
Great food, Great drinks. The entire wait staff was friendly and made the experience great.
From hostess and wait staff was very pleasant. Food was excellent. The only thing would be the portion size of the sides were really small. I’m tall and slender with a healthy appetite ;) I left hungry.
Nice restaurant, very nice staff. Very knowledgeable waiter. Most of the food was very good with the exception of the raw oysters (really small?) and the baked oysters. The baked oysters should be taken off the menu and never put back on. The Scallops and Steak were outstanding.
Wonderful service and recommendations from our servers.
