First trip to the Snowmass/Aspen area. Our hotel recommended Pinon’s, and we were fortunate enough to secure a reservation. My family thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Impeccable service, outstanding food, and lots of character. We could understand the restaurant’s longevity. One of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend
Food is very good and a lot of variety. Service could be a little more attentive but wasn’t bad.
Nice environment. Great food. Wonderful evening with family!
Still best restaurant in aspen
We had an excellent meal while on a ski vacation! Had not been to this restaurant in 20 years! Still the best!
Food isn’t as good as it used to be. Onion rings were greasy and trout was dry.
Wonderful bread and wine selection. All our Entrées were great
Wonderful job. We had two young children in our group and the wait staff did a great job taking care of our needs!
We have not dined here in years but found it to be better than ever. We both ordered filets which were perfectly cooked to our preferences. The accompanying dishes were also excellent. It is no wonder they appeared to be booked up.
I was met with attitude at the door when I was asked if this was my phone number. I said yes and they said they called me several times that day and that I didn’t respond They did call me the night before to confirm. I’m not sure what their issue was. We got our check and then they ran our credit card on another tables ‘check. Fortunately we noticed. Not a very well run restaurant. The food was overpriced and good but not great. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Based on reviews and recommendations from friends, I booked a table at Pinon's for our one special dinner out while visiting Aspen. We arrived for our early seating (6:15) and were directed to a table very close to the kitchen and with seats in the aisle resulting in frequent bumping / contact with patrons and wait staff as they walked by. I requested a different table, as many other tables remained open at that time but was told that those tables were booked months in advance and moving to another table wasn't possible. We moved our table a few inches away from the aisle, but the issue persisted. While the food and wine were wonderful, we felt rushed through the courses and cramped in the space. We opted to leave the restaurant after our main course and moved to the Jerome bar for dessert and drinks in a much more relaxed and hospitable environment. Given our experience on a Wednesday at 6:15, I can't recommend Pinon's restaurant to others. The overall experience was disappointing for this price point and location.
Terrible experience. We were rushed, rushed and rushed some more. I’m done with Pinon’s. Far and away the worst meal during our week of high-end dining in Aspen.
The Manager and staff were terrific and the food outstanding. We were running late do to the weather and the Manager made some table adjustments allowing us to stay as long as we wanted.
Pinon’s is always great have dined with them for more than 25 years always the best!
No mention of special occasion from any staff even though it was documented on reservation.
65.00 for Dover sole and small potion of rice, little veggies.
Beet salad and we had to ask for beets to go with it.
Food tasted good but nothing over the top.
Don’t think I’ll be running back or telling friends and Im a local.
Rob the owner was awesome, good service, good experience and nice atmosphere.
The food was wonderful but we were rushed through the whole meal. Things were served so fast that we finished dinner in slightly over and hour. In addition, there were empty tables so there wasn’t even a rude business purpose to this bad service. Finally, they brought the check with the dessert. Insulting.
Fun place! Vibrant yet somewhat family oriented.
Excellent food and service.
Wouldn’t go back. NYC prices and attitude. Jersey attitude and food.
Great place. Great meal.
I haven’t been to Aspen in 25 years. Piñon’s was great back in the early 1990’s and it’s still excellent today!
The food was excellent, as always, and the staff is very accommodating. Pinions is always an excellent choice.
Staff was great, food spectacular, pricing typical for Aspen -which is ridiculous
In Aspen with my family for a weeks worth of skiing. Had a great meal at Pinon's. All of us really enjoyed our food and thee speciality drinks were a hit. Highly recommended.
Tuna tacos are excellent, as was the Dover sole!
Waiter never came back to check on us! After food was ordered the waiter NEVER came back! Not once to check on us or ask if we would like another drink. It was busy, but we had to wait 10-15 minutes after our food was done to get the bus person to find our waiter to give us our check. Our waiter still did not bring us the check. another waiter, unrelated to our table brought it over. Shockingly bad service and basically no attention to the customer once our order was placed.
Chicken was raw in the middle and had to be sent back. Wine was not poured into the glass properly, and plates were not served/taken away appropriately. I do not feel that the quality of food (nor the level of service) reflects the rating of this restaurant. Would not go back.
My husband and I celebrated my recent milestone birthday at Pinon’s at the recommendation of friends. What a lovely evening it was! We were warmly greeted by Tim, the manager, and our waitstaff provided perfect service throughout. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband had pork that was beautifully prepared. Rob, the owner, stopped by for a chat and to wish me a happy birthday. We were wined and dined by everyone at Pinon’s, and will undoubtedly visit again when next we’re in Aspen. Highly recommend!
Very accommodating I book the wrong night and they still say our table of 10.
My expensive lamb chops were not prime and definitely not worth the price tag! However, My husband did love the veal chop! As for the service, I believe our waiter was dead from the neck up. At these prices, a little attentiveness would have been appreciated. This restaurant may be living off it's reputation and not present day reality!
Fantastic communication by reservations and the entire team! Thank you Pinons! You're one of our favorite places in Aspen to bring our favorite guests. cheers !
While the food was delicious, I find it objectionable to be charged a split fee of $8, given that two dishes were ordered, in addition to a glass of wine, and none of these items were inexpensive. I made the mistake of using the word "split" regarding the entree and, by golly, they tacked on an extra $8 on top of the price (already $52) of the entree, without even itemizing that fee on the check. I can't imagine that the $8 is more significant to this restaurant than maintaining goodwill. Live and learn.
Sorry to say from the moment we walked in the service was unfriendly and bordering on rude. Our server was indifferent to us. The food was excellent so cheers to the chef. That's apparently what keeps them in business.
Not my first time at Pinions, which I always have considered one of the top 2-3 restaurants in Aspen. This latest visit affirmed my opinion. Outstanding and creative menu, delicious food and first rate service. Also, amazing wine list and knowledgeable sommelier. It boasts a very comfortable and warm ambience. The halibut and pasta special (seafood ravioli) were to die for.
The food and service were very good even though it was very busy and every table taken. The views and ambiance were great!
We have been going to Pinions sporadically for years and it is still one of the fine eating establishments in Aspen. Service is superb, food is fantastic, and wine list is expansive. It continues to be excellent!
We hit the jack pot by getting a table on the patio over looking Aspen mountain
This is a very nice restaurant. Service is a little uppity, but good.
