Pink Taco - Boston

It was awesome
Very loud. Food ok service ok
A friend and I opted for a relatively early brunch (which runs 10-4 on weekends). The decor is appropriate for a Mexican / Hispanic restaurant with a Day of the Dead theme gone shocking pink, with some very clever wall murals (a Pats skull with a yard marker nose, for example). There are plenty of wide screens around, but we had come for the food. We received both a brunch and lunch menu, both of which looked great. The waitress was very friendly and checked on some dietary concerns with a couple of menu items (my friend has a dairy allergy) and some great substitutions were requested and made. It was quiet enough early in the morning that the manager came out to chat with us, and ask our opinion on the menus. We made some suggestions aligned with the pink theme and he actually provided my friend with a (pink) custom drink (one of the suggestions) on the house. All the staff we encountered were very friendly, and the food was very good (in particular, perfect poached and fried eggs which aren't always a given!) Definitely a great brunch place in the Seaport area. Two thumbs up!
Food was subpar. Overpriced for the quality. Who puts chickpeas in a taco bowl??
We sat at bar. Service was so slow we ended up only getting an app. Margaritas were tasty but weak. Very sugary. I’d go back only if a group of friends wanted too, but would never pick on my own.
Another noisy Seaport bar. Food was good however our dinners were served on top of our appetizer.
Disorganized upon arrival, took quite some time for a waiter to come over. Our appetizer arrived before our drinks and the meals were not very good.
The restaurant was busy, but our server was quite attentive! The drinks were extremely sweet, and the food lacked seasoning. I'm not sure I would return.
Good stuff. Good stuff. Good stuff. Good stuff. Good stuff.
Drinks weren’t great, food wasn’t great.
The service was fast and the waitress was super polite
Had an amazing time at my birthday!!
The food was delicious as were the drinks! The service was also great! Can’t wait to go back!
Food tasted good but the service was awful.
Made a reservation for 8:15pm days in advance. When our party arrived that night at 8:15, we were told that it was very crowded and they didn’t know when they would be able to seat us - they said “it could be 20 minutes or much more, we don’t know.” We ended up getting seated after 9:20. Service was awful. Food wasn’t bad but definitely not worth it.
Was hoping for a Lolita-like atmosphere, but this is more a sports bar with hipster tex-mex food and drinks and some pink lights. It's VERY loud. Would recommend for watching the game and having good food and drinks more than an intimate evening. They are allergy-conscious, though their fryer isn't gluten-free. The servers were super attentive and nice
Outstanding Food, Drinks and Service!!! Wish I had found this place prior to leaving Boston as I would have gone to eat multiple times!!!
Had to wait 40 minutes even though we had a reservation. Waitress, food and drink were great.
Food was mediocre. It was incredibly loud so it was difficult to hear people we were eating with. Drinks were good and the bar was nice, so I’d go for that.
This place is a disaster. Took 20 mins to get a server, 20+ mins to get our drinks every round, 2 hours to get our food. Cold food when we did get it. Rude manager. Poorly trained server. We werent the only ones having issues, every table surrounding us seemed to have issues with service and food as well. There are plenty of other taco places nearby that are far better options, including the Taco Bell up the street.
Just opened 1 month ago. First off...Atmosphere, drinks and staff were great. Excellent place for drinks. We arrived at 5pm on a Friday with an open table reservation. Bar was packed and restaurant was just starting to get busy. We were promptly seated and waited on. The nachos trio only had a handful of chips, but they refilled it upon request. The food was average, but overall soggy. My wife's carne asada tacos were soggy and my chicken burrito was also wet to the point of dripping in my hands and plate when eating. The sides on each were great - the rice and also the salad. Hard to say if this is the typical food experience or 1st month settling in. Worth a try, but don't expect incredible cuisine. Great social scene of locals and after work crowd.
The food was decent and the drinks are great, however service was very slow during lunch. Maybe it was because it was packed and they didn't have enough staff? I've been here for just drinks in the evening and its crowded but things seemed to move quicker.
Food is microwaved and disgusting. Tasteless. Worst Mexican food ever. The Restaurant was so loud I couldn’t hear my friend seated across from me.
great vibes in pink taco - server was a little slow but he blamed his bar backs
Terrible service and very loud acoustics. No sound attenuation on the ceiling and hard floors create a tough atmosphere.
Cool atmosphere with fun drinks. Greeted at front door by friendly hosts. Sat at bar until friends came and ordered a drink, I was served quickly and by a nice bartender. I got the Cadillac margarita which comes with a mini bottle of gran mariner which was fun! too much salt on the rim (it fell into the drink a lot) and they use large salt crystals but drink was good anyways just ask without salt if you even question if you want it. Other drinks were great, got the strawberry slush served in the pineapple and it was delicious and not too sweet which I’m sensitive too. Good amount of alcohol in drinks.
Food was great! We got taco bowls and fajitas and all were delicious. Chips and guacamole also great.
Expectedly noisy, a little bit more than usual I suspect as they had some sort of event going on too but once they left it was perfectly fine. Not too loud.
Waitress was extremely friendly and all staff were helpful and vigilant of needs ! Overall good time and would recommend!
Good food from a great LA restaurant but very slow service
Overall okay experience. The place is lively and very popular. Great for drinks after work or a date. However, the hostess was very slow and borderline rude. A lot of the staff seemed exhausted or sad. I’m not sure if we just happened to visit on a day that something bad happened or what was wrong. Our waitress was fast and friendly, she did a good job.
The music and noise level was closer to a club than a restaurant though.
Went for a friends birthday and absolute worst dining experience I’ve ever had.
Reservation for 6, sat us at an 8 top so the entire night we had to play telephone cuz the place is too loud. Server seemed like she had little to no experience... didn’t know which drinks when to what people, never checked back after we got our food, was absent from the table when things were taking long. Just awful. We got 3 rounds of drinks, not by choice, but each round took at least 20 minutes to receive our drinks. Which were below average at best, the only thing spicy about the spicy marg is the rim...???! At one point a manager noticed our aggravation and came to our table where we told her we could see our drinks waiting for at least 10 minutes. She went over and looked at them.. didn’t bring them herself nor did she even check back with our table or address the issue. Asked for a dessert because it specifically came with a sparkler... it did not and wasn’t even dropped at the birthday girl. SEAT NUMBERS PEOPLE.
At the end our waitress brought over the check, she brought two copies and told us she took off our apps... no explanation why (I mean well deserved but still) we thought it was kind of ridiculous that she pointed out how much $$ was taken off.. it was also at the bottom of the check. Then the most awkward part. They do pay at the table and she stood over my shoulder and watched me fill out the tip. I felt like I could do nothing under 20% our check was ?$300 and nothing about our experience or service deserved 20%.
This was 4 of our first times and we will never be back. 2 girls had been before and had similar bad experiences so they will no longer be back
Only thing worth mentioning, if you are brave enough to try this place get the nachos, they stole the show! From the queso cheese to the pickled jalapeños.. absolutely fantastic!!
The hostess was very unprofessional as well as very quiet. Not good for a loud, busy restaurant environment. I wasn’t checked in with my opentable reservation although I told her a few times I made one. Other than that, waiter and food was good!
Aweful service. The staff has zero experience. My friends drink didn’t arrive until after our food and our server STILL put it on the bill in addition to an extra drink we didn’t order that was an accident apparently. The hostesses weren’t friendly at all. Not sure why they do it for a job if they’re not happy working with people. They also had no idea what they were doing and told us even with a reservation we didn’t have a table... yet we saw several tables open so when I told them that they sat us. They didn’t even know there were tables open. They don’t mark food allergies on the menu... and they don’t mention that their vegetarian tacos are FRIED in a batter... so I have celiac and ended up with breaded tacos and had to wait an extra 30 mins to get a replacement. Awful experience apart from the atmosphere and at least the server had a really nice personality.
After being seated, we waited 15 mins before getting served (that too upon asking) on a not so busy night.
Servers who brought the food to the table walked around our table a few times due to confusion over who ordered the food.
Drinks were good
Soup was too salty, but rice and beans barely had any salt or seasoning.
Tacos were below average
Churros and Fried Ice cream were both really delicious.
Very cool ambiance and always nice to try a new spot. The drinks and the food were great, but it took a long time to get them. Our server was very nice, but seemed like she didn't really know what she was doing. I am gluten-free, and despite having a conversation with our waitress about it, my meal came out wrong twice. Mistakes happen, but I was a little surprised when they didn't remove the meal from bill after so many errors. I was with great company, so we had a wonderful time, and I'm sure as they continue to get their feet under them, the service will improve!
A group of 8 came to celebrate a birthday and it was a fantastic night. I’ve been to the LA location a few times and I’m thrilled they’re here in Boston. The food, drinks and service excellent all around. Can’t wait to go back
Food was lukewarm. Service was slow. Messed up our order, twice. Its just tacos, its not that hard to get right...
Food was great the cocktails were lackluster at best. With an abundance of similar food/atmosphere they need to step of their cocktail game or they won’t last in Boston. I’m paid craft cocktail prices for sports bar cocktails. No bueno.
Our server was very nice and apologetic, but everything took far to long to come out of the kitchen and was generally not good at all. 3 of the six had upset stomachs after. Other than the decor and our server's personality, there was nothing enjoyable about our experience.
I came in greeted by the host and immediately my table was ready. The staff was great and the food was amazing. I will definitely be coming back.
Service was horrendous to say the least. Food was good but pricey. Prefer bartaco.
