Love this place been back 4 times already..try'n to plan our next trip..our new Fav.go to place.
Great service, took my wife there for a night out. We had the octopus which was really good. The ahi civeche was amazing. The lamb shank was really good but the chau fa was not as good as the rest. Overall great place!
I just wanted to tell you how disappointed we were with dinner at your restaurant on November 10. When we arrived we were seated in the large empty room on west side. We had made reservations. If you didn't have room to seat us so we could see the guitarist, your should have told us when we made the reservation. When we arrived we explained that we wanted to sit in the area with the guitarist but were told that this was the only room you had left. We specifically wanted to hear and see Enrique Henao. We could hear him but couldn’t see him. It could have been a recording for all we know. We were off in a huge room by ourselves. The only people we saw all evening were the wait staff. Eventually, what we supposed was the management team, met on the couch and chairs in front of the bar. We felt like we were intruding in their meeting although they didn’t seem to notice us.
If we had wanted to spend an evening alone we would have put some romantic music on at home and sat in front of the fireplace. Why did we bother? The food was delicious but dinner out is supposed to be so much more than the food.
The other disappointment was my glass of wine. The pour was very slight. It appeared to be two ounces instead of the customary four ounces. Did the bartender give me the remains of a bottle and not feel like opening another?
We didn’t leave with a good feeling. We really wanted to fall in love with your restaurant and support a local business but that didn’t happen.
Trish & Bud Nicola (reservation under Ray Nicola)
Fantastic representation of Peruvian food with a contemporary flair.
Delicious cuisine, wonderful service!
The food was really good but expensive and TINY portions. I am a very light eater and have not finished a meal at a restaurant in years. But I was still hungry after my meal. The fact that the portions are so small means you may need to order a lot more food and then the cost is even higher. I am not sure I will go here again for that reason.
Tate was an amazing server! Great food, amazing service. Thank you!
The food was beautifully presented. Service was wonderful. Will go again.
Well executed and focused service. We went for my wife’s birthday and the Lomo Saltado. I had smoked ling cod. Both were excellent and amply portioned. I might make the Lomo sauce a bit thicker, gravy like, but spicing and meat prep was excellent. Server was new and very attentive but given it was a birthday, they were not busy (Sunday night) a bit slower delivery of courses would have been nice. It’s a nice space and the servers work to support each other which is very nice to see. Definitely worthy of a trip to Magnolia if you don’t live there.
Food was tasty but nothing spectacular. I didn’t feel like I’d eaten Peruvian food, it just seemed like nice American restaurant food. Service was pretty sloppy. It wasn’t bad but I wasn’t wowed.
Really great food and service!
Atmosphere and overall service is good. They have included key elements of the Peruvian folklore to create an inviting scene that goes well with the food and it's sober enough to not take up too much of your attention. Waiting service was good, although we received a starter before our drinks and had three different people serving us. The food was OK. We had "anticuchos" for entree. The seasoning was a bit off, more sour that it should and very small portion. The corn on a side was too al dente and I don't think they used aromatic herbs while boiling it because it lacked the point of sweetness it should have. We had "arroz con mariscos" and "lomo saltado" for entrees. No complaints for the latter, very good flavors and the right portion. The "arroz con mariscos" was OK but definitely over priced -- the ingredient's doesn't seem to justify such a high price. Finally, we had "alfajores" for dessert. Not a good idea. The short bread is too dry, the "dulce de leche" too runny and the flavor off. It wasn't a pleasant bite. It was a good experience overall but some elements of the menu do not have a great value.
Delicious Peruvian food, very nice atmosphere, and great service very friendly.
Great food and excellent service. The owners are very visible as well.
Food was great and server was very informed and helpful. We did feel a little "pushed" with ordering and the restaurant was not full. In addition drinks were pulled before they were really done so that was odd.
I went with a friend who like to try new things as much as I do. There's always some hesitation when there are things on the menu that you don't know the meaning of BUT, It was ALL delicious! From the roasted corn, the Pisco cocktail and I'm not sure what the spice was on the cod but it was all superb. Can't wait to go back and try everything else .
I visited Pink Salt for a special occasion based on a Seattle Times recommendation. I had a reservation for 8 pm for two. We were seated 15 minutes after arrival. Then we waited 15 minutes until a server took a drink order. The server informed us that three of the five entrees were unavailable and three small plates were unavailable, in other words, all of our selections. The server recommended an off menu pork belly and rice dish. It was over $30 and tasted like a cheap salty rice dish from a fast food counter. The meal and service were unacceptable for the price point of the restaurant. The Malbec was very good and the ambience and lighting were well done. I will not return to this restaurant.
Outstanding service even on a night they were short staffed and training new wait staff. The chef even came out to check how our meal was at the end of the evening. Everything was delicious, by the way. The pork sandwich special was the runaway hit though. We’ll definitely be back.
Four of us had a fabulous dinner last night, starting with a Pisco sour. The layered potato and Dungeness crab dish was a marvelous first course. We enjoyed the duck special, Peruvian steak and potatoes, mushroom stuffed dumplings, seafood stew with spicy Jasmine rice. Finished with two salted truffles and our friends had the Peruvian cookies with ice cream. Can't wait to return.
We had a great dinner at Pink Salt. We ordered the ceviche, the arroz con mariscos, the lomo saltado, and an appetizer of the day. All the dishes came out well. While it’s great to find good ceviche in Seattle, the arroz con mariscos and the lomo saltado stood out the most. We ate at the bar overlooking the kitchen and talked with the chef. The chef was super friendly, we will be back, earlier if cuy is available soon.
I went with a friend on A slow Saturday evening.
I chose my own table, and waited for her. I received no water menu’s etc. for over ten minutes. My friend arrived and we were finally given something to drink.
The drinks were excellent and the food as well but the portions were small. We shared an appetizer and two entrees which usually is enough, but i could $
Gonna make this short & Sweet..it was AMAZING..loved everything..sat at the Chefs counter and he was so helpful with suggestions and information about the food.. only been open 2 mo. so impressed with the place..already planning our next trip back with friends..were talking it up,,want it to be around for a loooooog time.
The decor, food, set and overall ambiance made for a wonderful evening
Really fun place and lovely setting. The ceviche and the black cod were outstanding!
It was my daughter’s birthday dinner out and she chose Pink Salt to try. We started out inside, but it was a little cold so we moved outside. The patio is nice enough, but super windy and I had to take care of a rocky table and put down our umbrella. Our server neglected to ask about my daughter’s birthday, never made any suggestions on the food and did the bare minimum service. She was nice, but not an attentive server for the price point of this restaurant.
I haven’t have Peruvian food, so I have no way of knowing whether it’s authentic or not. The food was tasty, but not enough to try it again. I wanted to love Pink Salt since the owner has had two good restaurants to his credits, but it was a fail for us. :(
Very cute place, food good, not great. We'll try again!
I am Peruvian, therefore my expectations were high. Pink Salt did not disappoint. The staff was so welcoming (like the people of Peru). The food was amazing! Better than any of the previous Peruvian places in Seattle. The portions were a fair size. The decor was stunning and it was quiet. We had the ceviche Classico, Papas a la Huanciena, Lomo saltado and all were excellent.
We had a great time at Pink Salt. Each of our entrees and the desert were delicious and our server was delightful.
We'll definitely return.
Although the menu is short the variety is astounding. The service and quality made for a happy evening. We will be back.
Everything was fabulous, from ambiance, customer service, presentation and delicious food! No detail is missed in this restaurant. We will definitely return and high
Y recommend to others!
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere!! Highly recommend.
Amazing food and service. Very much a family restaurant that is connected to its neighborhood in a meaningful way.
Pink Salt has a great location and ambience. Staff was attentive and gracious. Owners were very welcoming and took time to talk to patrons. Was a very busy night , all tables were occupied and things ran smoothly in spite of being short two staff members. Chef Marco took the time to stop by and briefly chat. All good qualities for a great restaurant. Some fine tuning needed to food taste and cocktail drinks. We realize that restaurant is new and will have to work through the kinks. Five stars for effort, ambience, decor, availability of parking . We need a Peruvian restaurant in Seattle. Thanks Pink Salt. Things with only improve. Much Success.
Food and service were very good. Feel that the menu was too limiting. Would like to see a bar menu where there would be less expensive options.
Prices seem high for a neighborhood restaurant.
Prices a bit high for some dishes. Interesting food. Some excellent like the ceviche. Some good but not great and carb heavy like the beef entrée. Instead of rice and potatoes how about more vegetables? . Mariscos pricey could have more seafood in it but delicious.
This is a pretty place in a nice location. Staff very nice. Food and overall menu needs a bit of work yet but we will go back and try other things.
Delicious food and great atmosphere!
Excellent food and drinks. Attentive service, though we were rather early. The smoked black cod and the tuna ceviche special were exquisite. Outside, beware of the round backed chairs, they bite your back - take the square backed ones.
The chef is amazing! He created a couple extra specials and one that was a Japanese/Peruvian influenced sushi. It was fantastic! Also the cocktails were amazing- especially loved the pisco sour. Will be back!
A good experience with real Peruvian flavors.
The ceviche is pretty good and so is the chicken.
My family and I enjoy sitting in the patio.
This is a good option when you want to try something different and tasty.
Love the menu but the wait staff needs major training. If you're going to have a successful restaurant you can't staff it with untrained help. Please don't have the waiters call us "guys", such as "What would you guys like to have?" We'll be back for the food and hopefully better waiters. We want you to be successful.
