The head chef was not there so the food took a hit! The fried green tomatoes was delicious. The biscuits were just okay and over priced. The crab dip was also a winner but the shrimp and grits left a lot to be desired and the pat roast was average at best
We had a horrible experience with the hostess. A party of three walked in ahead of me. Without even acknowledging me, the hostess went to set up their table. She was probably gone for about 10 minutes. When she returned, she asked our name and left again. Finally she told us our table had to be cleared and then we could sit. Now, the table had been empty since we walked it. After another 6 or 7 min, the table was ready but she was off seating others. After waiting to be seated about 20 min, we noticed there were two empty seats at the bar and decided to eat there. The place is small; she would have to be blind to have missed us. Yet she indicated that we were no shows for the reservation! I called in and explained what had happened. Maybe I spoke to that hostess, because she never offered an apology for the rude behavior.
I have to say the food was great as always, but there are other places we can go to get good food without being treated like that.
Always a great meal at Pink Magnolia. The service level matches the best out there.
Pink Magnolia surpassed our expectations! From appetizers to entrees to desserts; everything tasted amazing!!! I look forward to our next opportunity to dine at Pink Magnolia's!!!
I just love this place. I go at least once a week to enjoy their many delicious dishes. Not only that they provide amazing service.
Leticia was outstanding!!! I believe a server can make or break the experience. She was attentive without being invasive. She was so thoughtful and polite. We will go back again based on the whole experience.
Shrimp and Grits was delicious!!! The margaritas were yummy too!
Fabulous!! Food was great. Coffee was amazing! Bought some to take home. It was really loud so we sat in the space behind the bar. A little warm but we made the best of it!
I had high expectations for this restaurant, but it unfortunately missed the mark. Upon entry, several box fans were set up. Not sure if the A/C was on the fritz, but it certainly didn’t add to the “casual yet elegant” atmosphere that they advertise. The menus are printed on paper and affixed to a clipboard. This can be a great presentation, however all menus at the table were stained, rumpled up and looked as if they had been doused in water and dried. The drink menu literally looked like it was typed up in a google doc with no formatting, printed on hot pink computer paper, and slapped behind the regular menu as an afterthought.
The waitstaff were unkempt, and frankly a bit abrasive. Not typical of the southern charm and hospitality one would expect at an establishment so highly regarded. One person even appeared to be wearing pajama pants. Come to find out, she was the chef/owner.
The decor is nice, but the furniture had seen better days. The green chairs are in need of a serious shampoo and fresh coat of paint. The walls by the booths are also scratched up and tired. The music choose for a quiet Sunday morning was odd. They were blasting pop remixes like it was a “girls night” dance party, instead of 10:30 am Sunday brunch. Not terrible, just an odd choice.
The food was generally good. However, the presentation was seriously lacking. I had the chicken-fried ribeye stack. It was a piece of Texas toast, layered with a generous portion of chicken fried steak in need of seasoning, topped with an overcooked fried egg, and some very tasty hollandaise. There was nothing else on the massive steakhouse-style plate. No garnish, no sides, no color. Just a beige blob of food on a scratched up heavy white plate.
Overall, the restaurant is lacking in polish and attention to detail. You’ll get a decent meal here, but don’t expect the good service and outstanding food that you will get at other area establishments.
We found the food to be very bland. We thought it could have used more salt, pepper and spices. We ordered the deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes as starters and both were just bland. The green tomatoes were firm and tasty and the batter was perfect but it all just lacked taste. For dinner we had the meatloaf and the salmon. The meatloaf was okay but not really memorable. It had a very good consistency. The salmon was cooked to order and was done how I like it but it was a very thin piece, probably because I wanted it cooked well. The olive salsa on top was too salty. We had the butter cake for dessert which was absolutely delicious.
Everything was wonderful !!! We truly enjoyed it ... I did mention several times that we were celebrating a birthday and had hoped that something sweet and special would have arrived at table ...BUT no luck 😞
I have been here a few times and bring all of my friends who visit from out of town. It is my favorite restaurant for breakfast/brunch food. My friend and I enjoyed the experience immensely. The ambiance is so wonderful, the staff so friendly and the food delicious. I would go more often but I live 40 mins away! Highly recommend.
Food was amazing as always and service also on point. Chef Blythe is doing some amazing things.
Great service. Fun times!!
It was awesome and good to know it’s not too far from home!
Walked in and were the ONLY people there. Absolutely no one else.
Could smell sewage, they had a fan running right by the front door, not sure what’s going on but hope they fix whatever the problem is.
Previous experiences were great!
This is my second home whenever i am in dallas. The owner and chef is a Queen!! The food speaks for itself. The atmosphere is gorgeous. It is always clean. Fast service. And welcoming servers and hostess.
Food was amazing, adorable restaurant and great location
My only complaint is with the server we had Kyle. We were there for an hour and a half and he only came to the table twice. He never asked if I wanted another drink, I told him when he took our order I was going to want dessert but he never came back to ask and we had to ask another server for ice and for our check. That was my sister's first time there and I was sorry she had to experience such poor service.
Hey experience, great food, and great people. My wife and I were visiting from Chicago and stopping on our way to the airport. The food was absolutely amazing. We will return once in Dallas again!!
I always enjoy everything when I come to this restaurant. The food, atmosphere and drinks are outstanding. The parking sucks to no end! Don't see why you just can't do valet parking
What a wonderful find in Bishop Arts. We had an event at the Kessler Theater and took a chance on trying Pink Magnolia. Dinner was wonderful, service excellent, and the owner Blythe could not have been more welcoming. Highly recommend.
We started with biscuits and fried green tomatoes. The biscuits were huge and delicious. Served warm as they should be. The fried green tomatoes were every bit as good as the ones I ate at the Whistle Stop Cafe in Jolliet, GA that was the site of the movie Fried Green Tomatoes.
The pork chop was cooked well a juicy with a peach sauce reduction. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the roast. Lastly the shrimp and grits were perfect. I loved the texture of the grits. Very well done!
I would definitely support this restaurant and come back again when in the area. I also saw their brunch menu which looked great.
This was brunch for a first date. The first thing I noticed apon being seated was that it was very warm. Then it took about five minutes before waitress came by and we were able to at least get so water. After that, waitress did a wonderful job and was very pleasant. Food was great as well. No issues with service or food. The tables were close together and not much room to walk around. With a smaller restaurant the noise level was very high. Making communication with date little more difficult. We spent a total of 2 hours there and we only left then because the heat was getting to hot to sit inside. My issues was with Heat, space, and noise level. Service and food was excellent.
Love the Pink Magnolia, Great meal and fun every time we go. so Yummy.
We love Pink Magnolia and Chef Blythe. Food always yummy and service is always good.
Food and service great. Cleanliness of facility questionable. Saw a wait person scratch on a plate with his thumb, I guess to get food off of a plate before he took it to a customer. Bar area very messy and dirty. Food good but won’t be back because of lack of cleanliness.
We had a wonderful brunch with family for my mother's birthday! The mimosa's were great and the chicken was wonderful. We will be back!
Although we did not have the best server (he seemed irritated and bothered) the entire time. We repeatedly ask for our drinks and straws. Then he huffed and puffed as he sat anything down at our table. The beauty of the place and the food is why I will always return. I just hope to never get him as a server again.
The music was bad and too loud
Absolutely delicious food made with love. Excellent service. Blythe is a genius and we had a wonderful time talking with her. I will happily be returning!
Very thing was perfect! Couldn't ask for a better service!
Amazing restaurant and an even more amazing chef! We’ll be back!
Food is always excellent and Kyle was a great waiter! The Chicken Fried Ribeye is always delish and the gulf snapper also delish. They were out of deviled eggs but had the fried green tomatoes. Yummy!!
Love me some Pink Magnolia. My go to restaurant. Good food good drink.
Awesome food. A bit on the salty side but good.
Great service, delicious food, will definitely go again.
This restaurant was highly recommended and it was very disappointing. The water glass had lipstick stains around the rim. The glass for the peach Bellini was dirty as well. Our waitress did a horrible job with checking on us and the table next to us. There was a waiter there providing excellent service to another guess. I also wasn’t able to modify a dish and so that was disappointing as well. The food was delicious and the Peach Bellini was amazing. When you pair dirty dishes with poor service you just can’t return.
Food, service, everything is just amazing.
It was wonderful! I'll go back again and again! I think my favorite thing was the Punchbowls of Mimosas.
The food and service are always great each time I visit! Would recommend to anyone!
