About this restaurant

  • Innovative
  • Romantic
  • Good for groups
Serving up irresistible Dim Sum, innovative cocktails, and luxurious Chinese teas, Ping Pong Chinatown is a vibrant location to enjoy Dim Sum with a twist. The cosmopolitan restaurant boasts a dim sum bar, sunken dining room great for large groups, and a buzzing cocktail bar with award-winning libations.

Offering a wide range of Asian treats, the sleek Ping Pong restaurants pay homage to the ancient traditions of Chinese tea houses. With a big choice of dumplings and steamed buns, the Ping Pong menu also offers an array of "big-small plates", all Chinese tapas style.

As well, there are plenty of familiar Chinese delicacies, with spring rolls, soup dumplings, and hearty dishes like our hoi sin duck bao sliders. For dessert, try Ping Pong’s roasted banana and chocolate spring roll or the ice cream filled rice pastry, mochi, and finish with a lively Ping Pong cocktail or soothing Oriental tea.

Today we were quite disappointed with the food. We loved this place on prior visits but today the food was terrible. Nothing tasted good, ribs were just greasy with no meat and sugary sweet, orange chicken was nothing buy chicken cutlet fried with a few teaspoons of sauce drizzled on top so the chicken never absorbed the taste. Even the wings were lacking in flavor as were the dumplings. The chicken puffs had onion filling and not more than a couple chicken crumbs. Absolutely nothing tasted good. Not going back there after this experience. Sad to see a good place go down on food quality.

Couldn't really decide on what to order, so we both ordered the prix fixe. The name would imply a multi-course sampler. It ended up being the equivalent of two appetizers, all served at the same time. I get that the restaurant is small-portion plates, but this was taking the "small" a little too literally. On the positive note, the food was good. If you want more than just a taste of several things, I would not recommend this dish.

Terrible service. Our server was not knowledgeable at all. Didn't bring things which we ordered. Very disappointed.

It was a great endless and bottomless brunch - however, to make it worthwhile moneywise, you have to eat a huge amount of food - but no worries, the food is great. Good service.

So sad that a fantastic place has lost the plot. Everything was mediocre. Don't bother going anymore

We ordered the prix fixe dinner for four. There was a lot of food and the price was great for the amount of food. However, some were really good and some not so much. The crispy beef with citrus was delicious. The chicken was dry. The steamed dim sum were mainly kind of gummy. The blue crab was very spicy. The sliders were tasty as was the duck in a pastry shell. First they brought the dishes so fast we had to tell them to slow down. Then we had to wait a long time between courses. It was pretty uneven.
