Everything about this place is amazing. Get the sweet potato roll, dan dan noodles and scallion pancakes. AMAZING! And great for carry out, too.
Good food and cool ambiance- they were very short staffed and the waitresses seemed stressed as a result. It took a long time to get service. Not sure if that was just a one time issue! Otherwise wonderful experience. Lots of good plates to share!
Service is consistently attentive and friendly. There are many good choices on the menu. I highly recommed the Quinoa Chicken Bowl, the steamed dumplings, and the Brussels sprouts.
The atmosphere is nice and open.
Staff always have a smile.
Good, fresher ingredients, and lighter sauces than most Asian restaurants
Noodles tasted like ketchup was poured on them. Yuck.
Delicious! Unexpected delights in taste and ambience. Service was excellent.
We went on a busy Valentine's Day at 8:30. Staff were busy, but drinks arrived promptly and once our order was taken, it came out of the kitchen hot and timely. Very accommodating staff (we're vegan and had a few changes on the Wild Mushroom dish). Strong, tasty drinks. Good variety of Chinese food. Beautiful restaurant.
Ping Pong has a large and varied menu. There are multiple options for vegetarians And many of the dishes are available either with meat choices or tofu or seitan. The staff is very friendly and it has a cozy atmosphere.
Extensive menu in noisy atmosphere. Cheerful and attentive service. The two entrees we chose were a pile of noodles with skimpy veggies and unseasoned seafood in one and indifferent seasoning in the tofu... Maybe fewer dishes would be a better choice for this neighborhood place!
Timeless...Ping Pong will always impress. I’m very grateful for this neighborhood icon.
One of our very favorite neighborhoods, not just in Lakeview but in all of Chicago. We take all of our guests from out of town, and everyone LOVES this place. Great in the summer for the patio and all year round, great food and service.
Delicious food and friendly staff in a cozy comfortable setting.
Good wine and food but the staff is a bit all over the place.
The service was great and the food was tasty!
Great atmosphere and food!
We loved our meal at Ping Pong - a variety of delicious asian cuisines are on the menu, and we will definitely be back to try more. Our favorite was the roast duck with hoisin gravy, and string beans. Yum!
Fantastic as always. Love this place.
Friends birthday dinner and it was amazing. This is my favorite restaurant in the city. The food is to die for. Never disappoints. Staff is the best. Great drinks and ambiance.
Great service and food! Get the crab rangoons!
Drinks were fun and delicious. Food was outstanding, even the warmed up leftovers two days later. I also loved the fortune cookies!
Always love coming to Ping Pong for a nice ambience, attentive service and my favorite cocktail: Bitter Fortune.
Delicious and exciting menu, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a fun environment make for a great dining experience!
Great food and ambiance! This is a gem in Lakeview.
Went with old friends. Food was great. Way too loud to have a conversation though. Usually we go during the week and no problem, but this was a Saturday night, so it was louder. Still enjoy this convenient neighborhood spot we can walk to. Love the sweet potato maki, and the wonderful chocolate dipped fortune cookies! We will be back!
Our server gave really good suggestions, made a big difference in our experience, thanks again!
I dine at ping pong quite frequently and it's always phenomenal. I love the simplistic yet unassumingly posh interior and their variety of starters are wonderful for sharing. Service is always responsive without being over bearing and I've come to ping pong with first dates, my parents, large groups of friends and on my own. A true neighborhood gem.
Mom in town for first time
Great food, substantial portions, friendly and well informed staff. Good experience all around
Awesome as always! The food is exceptional and the service is ALWAYS on point!
Love this place. Try to visit every time I’m in town.
Ping Pong was a decent dining experience, but didn't have the 'wow' factor for us. Our tuna tartar appetizer was very tasty, but the scallion pancakes were a little fatty. We had a curry and some crispy duck as a main, but neither of those dishes blew us away. All around good dining experience but nothing extraordinary!
Excellent as usual! The service was great, food was excellent, and the experience was, as it always is, very satisfying.
Enjoyed food and ambi
Awesome food and service!
Ping Pong is a wonderful place. Great food, wonderful staff, everything about it is enjoyable. Anytime is the right time for Ping Pong!
For Asian food lovers who don't need sushi. Ping Pong has a very wide selection of dishes, including many heart-healthy. Your food can be accompanied by rice or quinoa or a combination.
I keep coming back for the chicken quinoa bowl with a side of the Brussels sprouts.
The service is attentive and friendly.
The room is big and nicely lit. There is ample space between tables.
We keep coming back, this is a gem of a place. Everything from the the ambiance, food and service is exceptional. Love, lovr, love this place.
Good food and a fun atmosphere but way overpriced.
