Quality food in a fun, welcoming environment! You could tell the ingredients were farm fresh and they did a great job accommodating various dietary needs.
Fabulous farm fresh food prepared delicately to enhance all the flavor. Everything made from scratch.
Lovely atmosphere and food was awesome, definitely will be back.
It was a wonderful experience. Food was great. Worth the drive.
Excellent food. We really enjoy the healthy food here. Service was a little slow.
Our server Hayley was awesome. She was super busy but managed to serve us with a smile. It seemed that it took abnormally long for an order of fried green tomatoes to come out and then shortly afer our food came out. I got the fried checken with summer squash and tomatoes and green beans with purple tomatoes. The sides were better than the chicken. LOVED the sides! The chicken was flattened too much and dry. The other order was a fish basket and 2 sides. The fish was cooked perfectly. Best tarter sauce around. We ordered GF strawberry cake for dessert. It was delicious. This was the most expensive lunch I ever had. $10 for a piece of cake, knowing that you can get 8 slices from a cake...inappropriately priced. It was abit noisey, but nothing we couldn't deal with. The lattes were great, but, again, overpricedas they were not large, they were in a small coffee cup. Outside of the prices and some dry chicken it was a positive experience thanks to our server!
Great food as always. It is worth the drive.
Wonderful food and atmosphere
Overall good experience. Enjoyed the food. The staff were very attentive. However, the cost of our lunch for two was way out of line as far as my budget goes.
Delicious food. We sat out on the front porch and enjoyed every bite!
Awesome food and service we will definitely be visiting again
Excellent find, worth a road trip to check it out!!
Amazing!! So worth the drive for the experience. We sat outside and had a wonderful meal. Appetizers were outstanding - fried squash, brussels, and hush puppies were all delicious. Highly recommend making the beautiful drive from Nashville/Brentwood via Highway 100. Great date night with another couple. Highly recommend!
Great drive from Franklin. About an hour to get there down country roads. Very casual and welcoming.
Grab a beer from the cooler and enjoy fresh farm to table.
Our table was ready when we arrived. The service was great and the food was amazing. We got dessert to go because we didn’t want to skip dessert but we were so full. It was a nice treat later that night.
Sarah was great. No idea the Boston Cream Cake was gluten free. Tasted great.
Great atmosphere and service. Hush puppies were tasty! Store across the road was fun to shop at after dinner.
There were 10 of us. 5 adults and 5 kids. All adults thought food was just ok and overpriced. Kids all got chicken fingers and all 5 could not eat them as they were too tough and chewy. Outdoor seating is 10 feet from highway and VERY noisy and actually dangerous. Would not return or recommend.
Everything was delicious and the service was great
Such a treat! The great ambience & delicious food.
Can’t wait to return.
Loved the place and the food. Everyone very friendly
Love this place and can’t wait to go back. Mee, the owner, is a wonder woman. If you like out of the way places with healthy food, this is it!
I so enjoy Pinewood Kitchen and their healthy eating and delicious food philosophy. Gluten-free options abound, farm to table and a fun casual atmosphere make this well worth the 1 hour drive to dine. It’s a favorite with friends and family.
Always wonderful and such a treat to eat ‘clean’ and feel great after a meal. Absolutely worth the drive and do save room for their crazy good desserts.
Great food!! Prices are a little high but well worth the great food.
Service was amazing
Restaurant is welcoming and very comfortable. Tables not crowded together.
The Mercantile had a lot of fun stuff. Will definitely be back!
Absolutely amazing food! My son and I have a dairy allergy and the staff was so accommodating, we could order anything off the menu! The food was outstanding and the dairy-free and gluten-free cake slices was the best dairy-free cake I’ve ever had! We had to drive an hour to get there, but it’s definitely worth the drive!!
Amazing. Simply amazing
Great food. Gave waitress a list of my food allergies & she helped me find foods I could eat. The atmosphere was like going back in time - to an old country store. Drove 1.5 hours to eat there and it was totally worth it. Can’t wait to try some of Mee’s recipes.
From the minute we arrived, the service was impeccable. Our waitress was so helpful with the menu choices and attentive. Food was amazing.
Food and service were great as usual! I’m a regular so they know me by name and when I place to-go orders over the phone.
A little bit out of the way but way worth it. Absolutely amazing food, especially if you have food allergies.
Cozy place with good food. Fried chicken. Was not as flavorful as expected...needed salt added.
Lots of loud vehicles & motorcycles going by detracted from the ambiance.
Excellent service, delicious oat Latte, salad vinaigrette, combo of quinoa/chickpea/mushrooms/sweet potatos/strawberries, burger & chips.
Dessert was to die for: strawberry lemon cake with lemon curd & vegan creme cheese icing!
Best place in the world
I wouldn’t call this a farm-to-table place. The food is fine and the service is great. Maybe I’m missing something but it’s not a farm.
Location is rural surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and pastures. Quaint building with indoor and outdoor seating. Everyone who works there is friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious! It’s a bit of a drive from Nashville but we’ll worth it for the experience. Love this place and highly recommend.
A hidden gem!! Staff was outstandingly friendly and the food was even better. Fresh local ingredients with flavors to die for. Nearly every condiment made from scratch which is a signal that they aren’t messing around. The catsup was phenomenal, and I’m not like a catsup fan or anything, but this stuff is bomb! I ended up buying a pint to take home. If you are close enough to consider going, just do it. You won’t regret it.
Awesome a wonderful down home with amazing got food
