I was very pleased... my final meal in public before the shut down. The food was Excellent. The server was pleasant. Looking forward to trying it again when the world restarts in a few weeks.
My daughter made honor roll and wanted seafood and a day out on south street. Pinefish was an eccentric vibe with delicious healthy dishes. Fresh food with comfty seating . The wait staff was pleasant and responded quickly. We had a great time. Try the fried cauliflower 😋
Great find! Cozy for a last minute dinner for 7 on a Saturday night. and delicious food. We loved the Brussels sprouts, best salad and curried trout special. Our server was kind and attentive as well as accommodating of allergies. Great setting to be able to have conversations!
Very good food! Would have loved someone to fillet the Bronzino though I thought that was standard ?
Will still be back love your menu !
Great food, great happy hour and great service.
Our first brunch there
Wish there was a yogurt choice
The service was pleasant but spotty
Absolutely loved this place cool boho vibe, great service and great food. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Philly!
Great food, nice abience, accessible parking, would certainly return and recommend to friends. Good wines, too.
Food and drinks are excellent! Service is top notch.
Everything was simply mediocre. For the price the entrees should have come with sides.
Food and Service was GREAT!!! But the closeness of the table seating is a bit much because you can barely have a conversation without hearing the peoples next to you.
Everything was excellent! Chopped salad was amazing with a lovely vinaigrette with a little tangy kick, the mussels were super flavorful, and the ahi tuna fabulous!! We did swap out the wasabi mashed potatoes for plain mashed potatoes, and they were soooo good. Very light and fluffy!! Service and ambiance were very good. I would highly recommend!
My daughters First wedding Anniversary
Enjoyed a wonderful meal, thank you!
It's supposed to be grilled fish, but the inside was uncooked. Although they didn't charge me for it, my experience was ruined.
Pinefish is a very small intimate restaurant with very good food. Had a great time there catching up with old friends and talking. They would've received 5 stars but my Steak Small Plate was cold and we had to wait at the front for about 10 minutes before anyone came up to greet us. Those were the only wrongs, everything else was on point. The server was amazing, and everything we ordered was delicious even the cold steak, lol. Will definitely be coming back
We happen to arrive at the end of happy hour and enjoyed six dollar drinks and reduced price appetizers. We explained to the waitress that we had theater tickets and she made sure that the food came out with plenty of time for us to make the curtain without being rushed or service uneven. The food was very good and nicely presented. An appetizer, shared salad, and small plate made for a nice meal. This was our second time and we will be sure to return
Great food. Celeste was delightful! Highly recommend it!
whew what an experience! went there for valentine’s day .... just completely a mess spent almost $200 dollars food took 2 hours just for us not to enjoy it at all . i feel bad for the employees because they were nice well most of them! the restaurant was just so un organized. it was honestly a waste of money and waste of a night. we were so disappointed.
I visited this place on Valentine’s Day. I was very disappointed. You ever see the pictures showing “what you ordered and what you get?” Well, this was it. Everything looks sooo good on instagram and their website but when we got there, it was horrible. The lobster was overcooked and not sitting like the advertisement. The only thing that was good was the arugula salad and mussels. The steak was the size of a slider and I was expecting mash potatoes but they gave me fries and spinach. No one gave me the option to choose or substitute my sides. I took my dessert to go and when I opened the box in the car, it looked like it was sitting there for hours and someone may have dropped it. Our waitress was board line rude. She seemed like she didn’t want to be there at all. I would NEVER go back and I’ll tell my 2,500 followers not to step foot in there.
Food was a bit salty but overall very good start to finish. Lobster tail was well cooked. Bronzino was good after dealing with the many bones. Bartender made an excellent martini. We ordered 6 oysters for our first course and it took quite a while for them to arrive. After that the meal and service were solid but we were at the restaurant for quite some time. Definitely want to return and give the restaurant another try.
My food was terrible, I asked for a medium steak and it came out burnt/well done. My lobster was overcooked as well. I only saw my server twice the whole night. When I was ready for my check I had to go find my server. It was a terrible experience. 3 out of 10, would not recommend.
We had a great 'bridal brunch' at Pinefish. The food was absolutely delicious and there are definitely options for all types of people. What I loved most is we had advised ahead of time it would be a post-wedding dress shopping lunch and the restaurant presented the bride-to-be with flowers, so cute. The only mix-up we had was 6 of us got our meals and the 7th person took almost 10-15 extra minutes before getting their food, and we had to ask 2 times about it. That, and the coffee was severely bitter. Otherwise, everything was excellent and the entire place is so cute and decorated so uniquely. Would definitely recommend the Brunch and would love to come back to the restaurant for their Happy Hour, we heard great things!
The staff was extremely pleasant, great service
Tiny place - glad we tried it!
Really liked it fresh seafood with a twist
The mahi mahi and the trout were very good. The service was very good. Prices were a little high. It's comparable to the Olde Bar, though I'd rank the Olde Bar slightly better. It was my first time there and I would go again.
I might not recommend Pinefish for brunch because of the noise level,
despite the good value and quality. But dinner is always fine.
First time here and unfortunately also the last. The food was quite good, but the operations leave a lot to be desired. I truly believe my server tried her best, but 2-3 people for FOH was not adequate for a restaurant of that size. Food and drinks were very good, but we didn’t get to eat until an hour after our reservation time... and in a city of fantastic restaurants, that just doesn’t cut it.
Wife’s trout served twice. First with less than desirable spices (curry), second the same item served “cold”. I’m embarrassed for the establishment! Unfortunately we will never patronize this restaurant again
Would not go back, couldn’t eat most of the food and we just paid out bill and left. Actually went to another restaurant to have a decent meal.
Great food. Great service!
It was soooo good! The best place for brunch especially with someone you love! ☺️ Definitely the all you can eat cinnamon bun pancakes are to die for! The staff and service was amazing! Highly recommend!
The food and drinks are very good and the owner has chosen to continue to offer the rest week menu which is an outstanding deal and the food was very good
One of the best Happy Hours in Philly! For starters, where else can you reserve a table for HH? Or get a real martini or a Cosmo, not the “special drink” (usually some sweet concoction that I can’t stand), for $6? The Buck a Shuck oysters were the freshest I’ve had anywhere (sorry, Oyster House!), and the fried calamari, shrimp, everything on the HH menu was delicious (except the smoked trout croquette - not bad, just more like a potato croquette)! Great service, too! Thoughtful and professional waiteress - and we actually got cocktail napkins with our drinks!
I’m not going to recommend it because it’s one of the city’s best secrets!! Shhh! I’ll definitely be back
Went to Pinefish for restaurant week. Menu had a good selection and food was delicious only problem was took 10 minutes for someone to come to our table for a drink order then another 15 minutes to get a drink. This to me is unacceptable for a restaurant in Center City Philadelphia. Overall it was their loss because we only ended up with ordering 1 drink with our meal when we usually get 3 each on a night out.
Eclectic atmosphere. It almost feels like you are in your Mom's dining room. Really great service. We had classic french toast and it was excellent. Servers are friendly and helpful. This is my second time here and will keep coming back!
My friends and I came here to celebrate my 30th Birthday. The server was wonderful. She made great suggestions and was very accommodating to my vegetarian friend. The food was nothing short of good, and the ambiance was wonderful. 10/10 would recommend.
Food was excellent!!
