Great food, ambience and service
Attended with girlfriends during restaurant week. The menu selection was far better than other restaurants. Tina our server was awesome!
The food was amazing! Like a soul amazing!!! I gave 4 stars because of the space. It wasn’t very socially distant. However, they did require to see vaccination cards. I would’ve given 5 stars but the space was really a problem for me.
I’m sorry that restaurant week is over. We had the best meal ever. I also enjoyed the happy hour red wine. We will return.
It is larger than it looks from the outside. It was a great place for date night. The staff is warm & friendly. The food was delicious.
Small quaint space. Food and service was outstanding. A little chilly in the dining room to my liking, but I will certainly return. Great music selections too boote!
We tried this place out for restaurant week. The atmosphere was nice and pretty quiet. We had the salmon and short rib and both were delicious.
Myself and my lady went there for her birthday. The food was phenomenal but ambience left a little to desire. Overall the experience was good. I would definitely revisit.
The food and service were fantastic. We started our meal with oysters. They were excellent. I had the surf and turf the steak was cooked perfectly. My wife had the salmon special she loved it. we both had the Key Lime Pie and it's one of the best Key Lime pies we've ever had. This was our second visit and we will be back again
Nice intimate restaurant. Good music and staff. Love the ambience as well. The food was good. Def recommend the surf and turf. The only issue I had was the steak being cooked medium well when I asked for medium but It could’ve been an honest mistake and it was also late in the evening near closing time. Otherwise great visit and I plan to come back.
My friend and I went to Pinefish for restaurant week and it was the first city restaurant outing I've been to since becoming pescatarian. I ordered the Bronzino fish I believe and it was a bit burnt but tasty, nonetheless. My friend ordered the short ribs which came with mashed potatoes and she said the ribs were kind of heavy/greasy but the mashed potatoes were perfect. We both had the clam chowder which was delicious and creamy as well. One thing I will say is that the tables were too close together. My party was about a foot from the party to our left and right. It was impossible to have private conversations as we could hear theirs and I'm pretty sure vice versa.
Enjoyed our dinner during restaurant week! Would definitely return.
Music and just enough folks the atmosphere and staff were amazing
Great service and super friendly staff. The surf and turf was very good. The shrimp and grits were swimming in butter, too much butter. Nice, limited wine selection.
Delicious food and drinks. Our waitress was very nice!
Went during restaurant week. The entree was amazing. Just wish they had other options for salad dressing. Overall great experience!
Cool little restaurant in the tuck. My wife and I decided to try for restaurant week. We were not disappointed at all. The beef short rib in sinfully delicious. Paired with the Knobb Creek Rye Iced Tea I was on a cloud . Great spot I would definitely recommend
Such an amazing time! The food was great, the owner/staff was a pleasure. I will definitely be back soon.
Rarely do you go to a place where you can say all of the food is excellent. This was one of those places.
Enjoyed our evening at PineFish. Nice ambience, great customer service, tasty food. I would not recommend the chocolate cake.
Great service! Great food! Will definitely be returning.
We went for the first time for restaurant week. It was wonderful. The short rib to die for and our wait person Celeste was very accommodating. What a great little find and gem on Pine Street.
It’s was a family Sunday fun day brunch and everything was great as always.
Food was great! Service was good. Very comfortable atmosphere. However, the bathroom was HORRIFIC and in today’s environment that is unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!
We really enjoyed our meal at Pinefish. We ate on NYE and while it is sometimes difficult to judge a restaurant on such a busy night, the entire experience was excellent. The decor is very cool with a warm eclectic feel. The service and pace of the meal was perfect. The drinks were especially good and they were very accommodating of our food allergies. The only disappointment was that there were too many great looking entree options and we could only sample three. We will definitely be returning.
Service was extremely poor. Ordered a special dish that was served with things omitted or changed without telling us
The food was great!
The service left much to be desired.
I’m sure our server was busy, as I think she was the only one but we arrived at 5:30 and didn’t leave until 7:45. We asked for water when we arrived and didn’t get it until almost 7:30pm. Food was good but delayed and they were out of a lot of food and drink items.
Hopefully things will improve after Covid!
My wife and I Love this quaint restaurant. The Food is delicious and the service is excellent
A very enjoyable experience. We enjoyed all the food and drinks, and received great suggestions from our server. The restaurant is very reasonably priced for the high quality of the food.
My husband and I were in town for the weekend for a quick getaway. We wanted to t try a new brunch spot. Found Pinefish on IG and we were bit disappointed. Honestly, we were a little skeptical once we were seated because no one else was in there but, after our meals, we were both very pleased. I had the Lobster Benedict and he had the Smoked Salmon omelette. Both came with potatoes cooked in duck fat. OMG, simply marvelous. I can’t say enough. It’s definitely a go-to spot when we return to Philly
Have been here multiple times and love the ambiance and food. Appreciate that you needed to show proof of vaccination.
The Pinefish is a very interesting little neighborhood eatery. From the outside, it does not appear as almost fine dining in a casual environment. The cocktail menu is very interesting, and the owner was nearby making great conversation on drinks and food selection. I had the sword fish "pork chop" cut. Very good. The menu is varied, service is very good. This is a small setting, and if you don't like tables placed close together it might be a draw back. The ambiance is very eclectic and kooky. Its nice spot on 12th and Pine .
Food was good. Nice to eat outside. Traffic noise was a bit loud.
Great friendly service with great tasting food.
What a great place. I selected the restaurant because require proof of vaccination. But it was a great dining experience. The food was delicious, service was great, and the atmosphere had a nice vibe. We felt like part of the family!
Fantastic from stepping foot in the door to saying farewell. Had reservation but dropped in early (too cold to keep window shopping in Center City), was greeted warmly by host. Service is well-paced, was checked on regularly but not overbearing. Food is delightful and well-portioned (the bucatini with clams is overly generous but delicious - be prepared to be overstuffed if you eat the whole thing!). Also got a mix of apps - all were nicely done and came out hot (in family style - as they are ready). They do put 20% auto-tip (which I support); that practice is clearly stated on the website, the printed menu, AND pointed out clearly by our waiter when the bill was presented. We added another 10% - was well worth it.
They add 20% for service (even for a table of two) to your check without your permission, disregarding any input you may have about your service experience.
Food was tasty! Just wish portions were a little bigger! Bang bang shrimp is life !!!
Great food and value. The staff always seems a little all over the place though.
Loved that proof of vaccination was required. We enjoyed happy hour values followed by a fantastic dinner.
