Can’t say enough good thing about this place. Excellent food, great service, lovely decor
We were late for our reserved time. We were still seated when we arrived closer to 730 without a problem.
The staff was professional and very courteous. The food was incredible. We had the surf and turf dinner with the arugula salad and the swordfish chop with horseradish mashed potatoes, the oreo cheesecake with coffee, and an italian ice cream, and tiramisu with coffee for dessert. We had a bottle of concannon cabernet. All amazing.
A well-run seafood establishment that has an excellent chopped salad, good lobster, and well-prepared fish.
Very disappointing as Happy Hour at Pinefish
Is one of our favorite places to go. The clams and oysters we destroyed by whoever tried to open them and they ran out of clams. If they are going to serve raw clams and oysters, they need to hire someone who knows how to open them.
Very cool place. The service and food was great. Their brunch options were fantastic. We really enjoyed our mother’s day brunch there!
Delicious food, great price, fun ambiance! Going back very soon!
By far, this was the worst service I’ve ever encountered.
Happy Hour is a quality bargain - good wines and small dishes. Dinner was excellent. Just tried brunch too. The food shows lots of attention to quality and detail.
The food was small portions. The waitress forgot everything. The menus looked like little kids put them together in kindergarten. I do not recommend. There are MUCH better seafood spots in the city.
The Happy Hour at Pinefish is wonderful - it's worth going just for that. Dinner was excellent, service was good. Definitely would recommend.
I started to follow Pinefish on Instagram because a friend of mine followed them. From all the great pictures of the food and atmosphere my parents and I went for Sunday brunch. My mom and I had the lobster eggs benedict with mimosas and my dad had the cinnamon roll pancakes. The food was amazing and our server was really friendly. We will definitely be going back!
Good food but small portions. Over priced. Service was slow but polite. Nice space and not overly loud.
Best eggs Benedict and home fries I have ever had!
I love this place. It has this cute bohemian decor. The service was great, recommending top dishes, etc. We went for brunch. I got the scallop benedict. It was delicious. The coffee was good. The mimosas and bloody marys were good. Everyone loved it. Definitely going back.
Service is a bit slow. Took a while to get our order taken and drinks brought to us.
The food was well prepaired. This service was good. This place is a good value for the money. My wife and i will be back.
Early Sunday Brunch - Friends with Benedicts was a perfect start to my Sunday!
Food was good but I didn’t like the decor
We came at happy hour and were excited to get some drink and appetizer deals. We order 7 small plates and 3 large plates for our party of 6 and had plenty of food. The mood is fun and our server was great. Then one large party of VERY loud diners came in and they triggered another table to raise their volume in competition. It was too much for us and we exited early. But, we really enjoyed it and the food was great.
Celeste was great. Never and empty water or cocktail glass and cleared the empty plates immediately. Nothing sat under a “heat lamp” (if they even have one) Hot dishes were right off the grill or out of the oven. Cold dishes were icy cold. 6 well fed and lubricated people for $400 including a 20% tip. Not just an excellent value for the money, but excellent across the board.
The hostess was a little rude in seating us, but otherwise the waitstaff was nice and the food was fantastic.
Saturday brunch Service was very slow.. only one waiter and cook.
We'd been to Pinefish before, several times for Happy Hour and a couple of times for dinner as well. Nothing went right on this visit. We were seated next to a very noisy table, so much so that we had trouble hearing each other. I asked to greeter to sit somewhere else but first she said there was nowhere else, and when we saw another table become available, she refused to move us. My husband's meal came a full 15+ minutes before everyone else's. The waitress eventually came over and apologized and they comped part of his meal -- a nice gesture to be sure. But it didn't make up for the too-loud room or the poor service. When the rest of our food came it was fine, but by then we were disappointed. Will be a while before we return.
Felt like we were in the Village. Great opportunity for a great meal, but the service was exceedingly poor (the young woman was simply a rookie, I think, and the acoustics made it so that a party of seven women drowned out the person sitting next to you from a few tables away. Some sound dampening and experienced wait staff would have brought everything up one or two stars. Great food, though!
My co-workers and I came to Pinefish for the happy hour and stayed for dinner. The cocktails were amazing and the food is to die for.
Great service, outstanding food (especially for the price) and quiet/relaxing and eclectic ambiance.
This place is great if you’re seeking seafood. The only gripe I have is how fast the food came out. I thought I’d be happy with the speedy service but I was sitting there with multiple plates in front of me. I suggest asking the server to stagger everything so you don’t feel rushed. Over all great food and ambiance!
Been here many times. Always delicious. We've take many friends here and they all agree!
Expensive for the amount of food we got, we left hungry.
The actual food was good. The sauces left something to be desired. It was only eh.
Terrific restaurant. Very good fish. Great service. Would recommend w/o reservation!
Fabulous meal and excellent sangria.
I loved the repurposed furniture and silverware definitely eclectic and it was great. we had small plates that were brought out one at a time with perfect. timing. the end of the rainbow cocktail was amazing!!!! service was excellent. my ONLY complaint is that there is only one bathroom as in one toilet for the entire restaurant. Its a fairly small place but a second bathroom is needed.
A great place we will definitely go. back and have already recommended it to others
Came for a birthday dinner. The food is insanely good. We tried everything on the small plates menu. The scallops and salmon were perfect. You can't go wrong here if you want good seafood.
I loved the ambiance. The Waiter was excellent and the food was amazing. I would go back and recommend to everyone!
Everything was great except the service was very slow. Seemed there were too few servers on handle the volume. Waited a decent time in between ordering items. Also, we were not told what the kitchen was out of until we had sat for a while and the server came to take our orders. It made me have to change my order on the fly which was upsetting as I had my mind made up on a specific item (burger) and could not get it.
Great food with friendly service.
Went for happy hour for my girlfriend’s birthday. The service was great. What really sold us on this place was the ambiance. The food was delicious, especially the oysters. Will definitely make trips back in the near future.
