   Simply put one of the best meals of my life. They were somehow not busy at 8p on a Saturday night, yet we were lucky as once they get known they’ll blow up! Truly incredible food, each bite was more impressive than the last, and fantastic cocktails as well. The rum punch was the best rum drink I’ve ever had. Lovely servers too. A little laissez-faire and took a while to get their attention toward the end, but our server was hanging out with friends at a large table next to us, which given how not crowded they were was understandable. Noise was a little loud at times given the 12-top next to us, but their energy was charming and non offensive. Overall really a suberb meal and a must-go when in Montreal. A fair price for the value, and the natural wine recommended somehow paired beautifully with the duck/fig, eggplant, skirt steak, cod, and pulled duck dishes - I don’t know how but it worked. Desserts fantastic too, and the dessert wine recommended for the poached pear dish was just on the edge of offensively sweet to us, yet somehow just worked. Again a gem and a must try on a visit to Montreal, or for locals of course.

   Soirée pas trop occupée dans ce nouveau resto mais je suis certain que l'efficacité, la gentillesse et le professionnalisme auxquels nous avons eu droit sont les même lorsque la salle est plus occupée. Nous y sommes allés suite à une bonne critique que j'avais lue et nous avons vraiment adoré. La carte est courte mais complète et surtout très créative et TOUT était vraiment fantastique, goût, finesse, présentation ... Des cocktails géniaux, une super carte d'importations privées à 100% et encore une fois un service absolument parfait. BRAVO, nous y retournerons!

   Le menu est génial et les assiettes sont très bien présentées et avec beaucoup de saveurs et de beaux mélanges. C'est un restaurant très raffinés. Manque un beau d'ambiance mais entre amis nous nous sommes bien amusés. Sélection de vin très raisonnable, pour une fois que tu peux avoir une bonne bouteille de vin pour 50$ avec plusieurs choix. Dommage, c'était l'anniversaire d'un ami et le resto n'avait pas de chandelle ... peux-être vous en acheter !!!

   This is a fantastic new restaurant with a creative menu. We have dined at Pineau twice since its opening and will return for sure. The gnocchi and halibut dishes were among the very best and the small plates, including the calamari and beet and kale dishes were also excellent. William picked the perfect wine to go with our meal and the service was top notch. The cocktails were inventive and delicious. Next time we will try the tasting menu. This restaurant will soon be ranked among the best in Montreal. Don't wait, just go now.

   We were looking for a gourmet experience and found it. Creative, flavorful inspired food was gorgeous to look at and delicious to eat. Our party consisted of two kids 11 & 12 and four adults. We were surprised to find items the kids loved like shrimp and halibut both highly recommended for all ages. Apps like the roasted eggplant and the carrots with sesame were so good plus the carrots looked like a piece of art. The roast pork was delicious and beautiful with some unexpected flavors as were all the desserts. Some of us had the pulled duck which was the least successful dish out of all our dinners since the duck was overpowered by the bbq sauce and lost its “duckiness”. We would have done the tasting but with kids it was too limiting. That seems like the most economical way to try the variety of dishes or go in a larger group and everyone get something different.
