We are regulars at Pine. Until yesterday , we were still huge fans. The brilliant management decided to reduce their portions by 25%30% and serve it on smaller plates hoping no one would notice. Well , we happen to like to take picture of our meals all the time so we have picture of their plates from the dozens of times we have easten there. The scallops for $32 are not a reduced size in the actual scallop and the number has been reduced from 4 to 3. The really lame presentation on the cheap plates last night are an embarrassment. The cod we had a few weeks ago was reduced by 1/3 in size . The salmon was 2 thin pices that were overlooked. The deviled eggs were always 2 eggs presented as 4 halves and now it's 3 halves. for $9.00 does 1/2 an egg really affect the bottom line. The price points here are not cheap and they should know better than to send customers away feeling ripped off with smaller & lesser quality product & inconsistently executed food. Sad , as loved going there.

Always enjoy the Pine when visiting our son at school; we had the grand parents with us this trip and the dining room and service is perfect for everyone.

We were at Pine for lunch on a Saturday. We had a nice, quiet table. My friend enjoyed her quiche and salad. My crispy chicken sandwich was hugely disappointing - I should have asked for a complete description before ordering. Service was indifferent. This is not my usual experience at Pine. Hopefully it was an anomaly that won’t be repeated.

Brunch is only thing worth eating here. Everything else is poorly executed. Burgers either raw or over cooked. Risotto soupy, roasted chicken rubbery and over seasoned with salt. Come for a fireside drink eat elsewhere...Market Table around corner is much better quality for half the cost.

The atmosphere is excellent. The location cannot be beat -- right on the Hanover/Dartmouth Green. But the food is too expensive and the portions are too small.
