Pilot House Natchez
Crab cakes were great, service excellent, beef tips left a little to be desired, view was enjoyable.
Absolutely loved Pilot House! Excellent food and service. Enjoyed the Beautiful view while dining.
The atmosphere is casual and relaxing. The views are fantastic. The food is outstanding!! We will definitely be going back.
The waitstaff were rude and could not provide helpful information about the menu. Each question we asked went unanswered because "they didn't know". We hoped the food would make up for the poor service.. Boy, were we wrong. We ordered a blackend ahi tuna (rare) and a seared ducks breast (rare). The ahi came out with a sprinkling of seasoning, not blackened, and tasteless. The duck was served raw, extremely under seasoned, and was impossible to cut due to its rubberiness. The skin of the duck was not rendered and crispy.. It looked like it never touched the frying pan. This was possibly the Worst resturaunt experience we have ever had. Over the last few days, we have had many individuals tell us they had a similar experience and will never return. My heart hurts that I can not post an exciting review, I was really looking forward to a wonderful evening and the opportunity to brag about this resturaunt, unfortunately that's not the case.. 😔
Read in some reviews that the food was not up to standards. That was NOT the case with us. We ordered the grilled pork chop and the duck dishes. They both were outstanding and I was very surprised based on what I had read.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!! Great view, nice ambiance and the food we received was outstanding..
Dining with freinds
Overall wonderful experience.! The staff was very professional and hospitable and the food was excellent.
Food and view was amazing! Staff was very attentive.
The view of the river was magnificent. The food and service were very good. We were expecting a more formal atmosphere but the clientele were mostly hotel guests, dressed in everything from covered-up swimwear to shorts and flops.
Went for 4th if July, food was okay but the view was really great
I always leave a cash tip and I always tip accordingly. When the waiter saw that I put 0 on my card for gratuity he was offended. He came to the table inquiring on our like or dislike of his service. He wanted to know why I did not leave a tip. I have never had a waiter do that it was very disrespectful and unprofessional. My bill was 70.00 I left him 20.00 at the disapproval of my dinner aquatints. We want be back.
Great food with a great view. A fantastic place for a special evening.
Great brunch. Food was outstanding. Beautiful view. Very nice surprise.
Our food was really good but it took our waitress over an hour to get our tickets to us. We had given her our names for drinks, and our entrees and it made no difference!
We probably won’t be back
Sat for 25 minutes - no waiter no menus. Had to go to bar to order and got our food after 40 minutes and it was cold.
The view is breathtaking.
Beautiful view of the Mississippi River from the bluff restaurant
Food was delicious portions were perfect
Service was a a little slow Considering they weren’t that busy
Would go there the next time we visit
Worst service we've ever had. Lost order. Other servers: " not my job, not my problem". 2 1/2 hours to get meal. And it was Luke warm at best. And there weren't that many diners.
Had the filet for dinner, crab cakes and fried green tomatoes for appetizer. Everything was great. Topped it off with dessert, my friend had the pecan pie and I had the creme brûlée - both were excellent
Great river view restaurant. Food was good. Limited wine list. Not crowded. Great service
The Vue Hotel has a splendid setting over looking the river. The food is very good and good service once they get you seated. Like everything at The Vue it is a little disorganized but overall a good experience.
Will be back
Very good food. Great specialty drinks menu but somehow we always choose the one they’re out of. Great Cesar salad, basil pesto salmon and fried mushrooms. The crab cakes were scrumptious. The firecracker shrimp were tasty. Definitely recommend it.
Pilot House was very accommodating, arranging for this party of 4 to have dinner on short notice on a busy night. The table was ideal with a wonderful view, and the food was excellent. Many thanks for the experience.
The meal was excellent, compliments to the chef who was fantastic!!!
Good overall experience. Somewhat noisy as they had a musician playing and it was loud - even in the dining room.
The food was delicious. The staff was very friendly. We didn’t have a long wait time for our dinner. Highly recommended spot for a nice & romantic date night.
Food was beautiful, in a fantastic location, we paid the bill and left a tip ,then went in the bar and the waitress came over to us to complain that we never left a big enough tip. She then proceeded to give us dirty looks for the rest of the evening.
My husband and I spent the weekend in Natchez, MS for a late Valentines getaway. We ordered the 14 oz ribeyes If we have ever had better food, we could not recall it. The service was top notch and the view was amazing!
Great customer service, good food. The shrimp salad with crab was delicious. The bread and seasoned butter is amazing. I try to eat low carb but this was too good to pass up! Make sure to get a window seat for a view of the Mississippi River.
Food was Great, Service was wonderful. Will Definitely be back!
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
Service was ridiculous! Food was great! Will probably order to go next visit!
Food was excellent. My compliments to the chef!!
Did not have our reservations when we arrived. Made the reservation and confirmed by phone, when we arrived, they said knew who we were and aware of if it but still did not have our seating. When I called they said they have us covered and open table had priority over other reservations. They did make accommodations and sat us at two different tables but defeats the whole purpose of open table reservations.
My wife and I came for our Anniversary. I had special request I made in my reservation that I had to reiterate to the hostess.
We have eaten there several times but this time it was disappointed with the food. I had a crab cake appetizer and it had no flavor or seasoning. My entree was sauteed redfish and again it lacked flavor. My wife had beef tips that she didnt care for. Funny thing is she has had them there before and liked them. It was bland. The lack of seasonings was all put in her green beans. They were too salty for even a second bite. The worst green beans weve ever tasted. My friend asked for several well known beers like Flat Tire and was told they dont carry any of those beers. Sorry but this is our last visit.
Service was terrible. Waitress had no idea how to handle a special request. This experience made us want to stop eating out. Food was fair. View was beautiful.
Ok food heavy handed use of salt. View is overrated.
Food was great service was good atmosphere was excellent. A beautiful restaurant and a beautiful city. Glad we found it because we really enjoyed our experience
Had a wonderful birthday celebration on Monday with the two most important men in my life (dad and boyfriend) Small, selective menu which was perfect! Waitress was superb and friendly, attentive but not over bearing. The food was top notch and the mixed cocktail I had was sublime. I ordered the Seafood pasta with crawfish tails, shrimp, sausage, and veggies which was great. My dad got the Veal Oscar which looked and smelled heavenly and my boyfriend got the pesto salmon which he thoroughly. All and all a wonderful evening to celebrate my 27th birthday and I'm sure I'll be back to visit for other special occasions down the road. Thank you for your Southern Hospitality and delicious food.
