Pilot House Natchez
Our food was really good but it took our waitress over an hour to get our tickets to us. We had given her our names for drinks, and our entrees and it made no difference!
We probably won’t be back
Sat for 25 minutes - no waiter no menus. Had to go to bar to order and got our food after 40 minutes and it was cold.
The view is breathtaking.
Beautiful view of the Mississippi River from the bluff restaurant
Food was delicious portions were perfect
Service was a a little slow Considering they weren’t that busy
Would go there the next time we visit
Worst service we've ever had. Lost order. Other servers: " not my job, not my problem". 2 1/2 hours to get meal. And it was Luke warm at best. And there weren't that many diners.
Had the filet for dinner, crab cakes and fried green tomatoes for appetizer. Everything was great. Topped it off with dessert, my friend had the pecan pie and I had the creme brûlée - both were excellent
Great river view restaurant. Food was good. Limited wine list. Not crowded. Great service
The Vue Hotel has a splendid setting over looking the river. The food is very good and good service once they get you seated. Like everything at The Vue it is a little disorganized but overall a good experience.
Will be back
Very good food. Great specialty drinks menu but somehow we always choose the one they’re out of. Great Cesar salad, basil pesto salmon and fried mushrooms. The crab cakes were scrumptious. The firecracker shrimp were tasty. Definitely recommend it.
Pilot House was very accommodating, arranging for this party of 4 to have dinner on short notice on a busy night. The table was ideal with a wonderful view, and the food was excellent. Many thanks for the experience.
The meal was excellent, compliments to the chef who was fantastic!!!
Good overall experience. Somewhat noisy as they had a musician playing and it was loud - even in the dining room.
The food was delicious. The staff was very friendly. We didn’t have a long wait time for our dinner. Highly recommended spot for a nice & romantic date night.
Food was beautiful, in a fantastic location, we paid the bill and left a tip ,then went in the bar and the waitress came over to us to complain that we never left a big enough tip. She then proceeded to give us dirty looks for the rest of the evening.
My husband and I spent the weekend in Natchez, MS for a late Valentines getaway. We ordered the 14 oz ribeyes If we have ever had better food, we could not recall it. The service was top notch and the view was amazing!
Great customer service, good food. The shrimp salad with crab was delicious. The bread and seasoned butter is amazing. I try to eat low carb but this was too good to pass up! Make sure to get a window seat for a view of the Mississippi River.
Food was Great, Service was wonderful. Will Definitely be back!
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
Service was ridiculous! Food was great! Will probably order to go next visit!
Food was excellent. My compliments to the chef!!
Did not have our reservations when we arrived. Made the reservation and confirmed by phone, when we arrived, they said knew who we were and aware of if it but still did not have our seating. When I called they said they have us covered and open table had priority over other reservations. They did make accommodations and sat us at two different tables but defeats the whole purpose of open table reservations.
My wife and I came for our Anniversary. I had special request I made in my reservation that I had to reiterate to the hostess.
We have eaten there several times but this time it was disappointed with the food. I had a crab cake appetizer and it had no flavor or seasoning. My entree was sauteed redfish and again it lacked flavor. My wife had beef tips that she didnt care for. Funny thing is she has had them there before and liked them. It was bland. The lack of seasonings was all put in her green beans. They were too salty for even a second bite. The worst green beans weve ever tasted. My friend asked for several well known beers like Flat Tire and was told they dont carry any of those beers. Sorry but this is our last visit.
Service was terrible. Waitress had no idea how to handle a special request. This experience made us want to stop eating out. Food was fair. View was beautiful.
Ok food heavy handed use of salt. View is overrated.
Food was great service was good atmosphere was excellent. A beautiful restaurant and a beautiful city. Glad we found it because we really enjoyed our experience
Had a wonderful birthday celebration on Monday with the two most important men in my life (dad and boyfriend) Small, selective menu which was perfect! Waitress was superb and friendly, attentive but not over bearing. The food was top notch and the mixed cocktail I had was sublime. I ordered the Seafood pasta with crawfish tails, shrimp, sausage, and veggies which was great. My dad got the Veal Oscar which looked and smelled heavenly and my boyfriend got the pesto salmon which he thoroughly. All and all a wonderful evening to celebrate my 27th birthday and I'm sure I'll be back to visit for other special occasions down the road. Thank you for your Southern Hospitality and delicious food.
We had a window front table with a fantastic view of the Mississippi River and bridge. The Great Mississippi River Balloon Race was going on and we had a great view of the balloon glow. The food was delicious and the meal was unhurried and pleasant.
An attractive place, with a spectacular view of the Mississippi River. Food was well prepared, but not 'fine' dining.
The experience was great! The foams staff were top quality!
Atmosphere, food, and view were great! Wonderful wine list suggestion and delicious sides served with your meal.
Expected from reviews that we could have a nice, quite dining experience. There was a family reunion being held adjacent to the dinning room. Guest from that party continued entering to talk on their phones because it was too noisy in the reunion room. I was not interested in others conversations, especially since I was having difficulty hearing the conversation at my table. Commented to the waitress who understood my displeasure, but there was nothing she could do. Instead of of having a leasure dining experience and enjoying a very beautiful view, we hurried through the meal and left.
Ordered a cocktail from the house specials list. They were out of an ingredient. Staff should have known store I ordered. Had a seafood salad with remoulade dressing. Lettuce was room temperature and tough leaves from outside of the head. The flavors were good but should have been served chilled and with tender lettuce.
Don't waste your Time going to this place. It is part of an expensive hotel. The food is not that good vs. the price. The Dining area was very warm and needed to have the A/C turned down. They primarily cater to the GERIATRICS of the world.
The Open Table reservation we made, wasn't even recognized by this restaurant, so don't waste your time making a reservation.
The Place is pretty much a JOKE!
Go someplace else. There are PLENTY of good restaurants in Natchez, MS.
We chose this place for our second anniversary and we were pleased. I had the ribeye with potatoes and husband had the catfish with etoufee, brother were great.
Beautiful view of the river. Food was delicious. Service was pretty good. Enjoyed ourselves!!
We ate at the Pilot House later in the evening after traveling all day. The food was good. Bernaise sauce was delicious. My steak was slightly over cooked but not enough to ruin the meal. My husband’s steak was done perfectly. Our server, Joan, was very friendly & helpful. Unfortunately, other staff were quite loud & disruptive. At one point a server was standing in the dining room shouting to the staff in the bar. They appeared to be enjoying themselves & it was close to closing time but their raucous behavior detracted from our ability to relax & converse. It was not behavior one would expect at this price point in a restaurant that appears to be more on the fine dining spectrum.
Restaurant and view is beautiful. Service was very slow and food was mediocre.
