Chef Yudiming Puche has created a gastronomic experience incorporating flavors, aromas and textures from her beautiful Latin American culture. Her side table Salmón Ahumado and "Los Datiles" are only two of her signature dishes that are a must when you visit Pilon Miami. Handcrafted cocktails by Marvin Vasquez, who has more then 30 years in the hospitality industry, also capture the Latin American Fusion spirit that the venue offers. "Ay Bendito" and "Mora Pa' Rumba" are the perfect cocktails for you to start your experience at Pilon Miami. Two beautifully furnished patios, one with an amazing lake view of Hidden lakes, create an amazing atmosphere for those who like the "al fresco" experience. Had to yell to speak to each other bill came out to $400 for 4 people even though it was a preset menu with the most expensive thing being $58 Dessert was being brought out while the leftover of the dinner were still on tables not complaining about the price but I’m going to pay $100 per person, expecting the experience and the service when you walk in you better hope people aren’t busy. Had to literally go to a server. And ask if we just sit anywhere. I’m not one to write reviews but it definitely threw me off knowing no matter what service they provide the bill will include a 20% gratuity

Hicimos una reservación pero al llegar no nos atendió nadie y esperamos a que por fin apareciera un señor y nos llevara a una mesa. La presentación de el artista era a las 9:30 y eran las 12 y solo había otra persona cantando que comenzó a las 11 a cantar. La presentación de la comida no fue la más curiosa y el sabor no dejó ganas de terminar ningún plato. Las croquetas que nos dieron fueron de cajas frisadas no las que supuestamente hace la chef. El servicio de el mesero fue muy bueno pero desafortunadamente entre la música demasiado alta y la comida mediocre no volvería a ese lugar ni lo recomendaría.

The sophisticated website was, at least for me, completely misleading. I expected haute cuisine with a Latin flair. What I experienced was a simple hole-in-the-wall shop with a simple menu and friendly wait staff who spoke halting English. The food was simple bordering on pedestrian. Again, my negativity is borne of a misleading website. In the absence of that factor, I’d call it a typical neighborhood spot.

They didn’t bother to have a full menu on Thanksgiving. The food was self-directed.

The food and drinks are really outstanding, however the live music is overwhelmingly loud. It takes away from the dining experience as you have to scream to be heard by your group. They really should tone this down as everyone in my party said they would not come back again. A real shame because their food is really good. They should consider changing their club like music to after 10pm for those that wish to dance.
