Good food, but the place is sunk by poor service. I would not recommend it. I arrived early for my reservation and was shown to a communal table right in front of the door and under a speaker. When I asked to move to the other end of the (empty) table, the hostess said “sorry, that’s reserved.” Well, I had a reservation too, so I insisted, and she finally accommodated my party in another, quieter table. But the service was still not up to par. I asked my waiter what was the house rose and he said “What do you mean?” I asked again, what wine was it and he said “I don’t understand that question.” I mean, this is a wine bar! I'm not expecting a master sommelier, but you don’t know what the house wine is? The wine list looked good and the tapas were tasty, but the service and the ambiance undercut the experience. I can’t recommend it.

All bad. Bad food, smelled like a bathroom. Grumpy server. If I could give zero stars I would.

Fabulous food. We made it before happy hour ended & got 2 apps for great price. The meatballs are delicious. The egg & potato omelette was exceptional. And the seafood with rice-outstanding. Service impeccable even tho they were very busy. Can’t wait to go again& try more dishes

Pil Pil is a great spot if you're craving authentic Spanish tapas in the heart of NYC. The food is flavorful and well-executed The atmosphere is cozy and full of energy, which makes it fun, but be aware—it gets very loud, especially during peak hours. It’s not the best place for a quiet conversation, but perfect if you're in the mood for a lively night out with friends. Overall, great food, friendly service, and a vibrant ambiance that captures the spirit of a true tapas bar.

It was out first time dining here, after a long day at the hospital. Food was very good. Bread meagerly! Wine glass with barely any wine in it- and not cheap btw. Overall it was good! I will try the west side of town instead.

Pil Pil wa great. Such a cute restaurant. Loved the ambiance and decor! Very European. Food was delicious, especially the octopus. Sangria was great!

What a fabulous place to enjoy Spanish Tapas and the staff and servers were helpful and suggested some dishes that we were glad they suggested. Definitely a great lunch specially priced, and was a choice of 3 dishes or 5 dishes f. A favorite was the shrimp in their shell in a warm garlic with olive oil was really delicious and we dipped the bread into that oil numerous times, of course the fried calamari (with a breading that was very good, and was served with a lemon aioli. Lastly, the special of the day croquettes with spinach and mushrooms was great with the tomato sauce poured over them! So yummy! (We didn't have the special Albondigas Spanish meatballs or dates wrapped with bacon, so try those, if you're a carnivore like me) Even the red sangria with mango and apples was refreshing and served in cute mason jars. Grazia Pil Pil team! A real New York find!
