Great food. Tried the ribs and my wife had the filet mignon. Little noisy, but still enjoyed the atmosphere.
It’s a great place to meet friends or business associates. The service is great, the food is good. People are very friendly.
We were just looking for a new place within an hour from home and the googler shot this place out. It was a home run! It checked all th good boxes. We had a great time. Can’t wait to take the wife back. Not too often, I reminisce about the food I ate over the weekend .
Had a reservation for 7pm & weren't seated until 7:45. The wine that we ordered was delivered with the wrong vintage, they were out of all steaks.
I ordered a hamburger. It was the worst burger I've ever tasted (overcooked, limp bacon, translucent iceberg lettuce). The twice baked half of a potato that I paid an extra $2 (upcharge over fries) was very tasty.
The staff was friendly, but it did not make up for the rest of the experience.
Everything was good. However the noise level was a bit loud for a quiet conversation. Ran out of Prime rib at around 6:00 pm on Saturday. That was a little disappointing.
Our experience at the bar was wonderful - great friendly social bartenders and exceptional drinks.
Our experience at the table was fair. Waitress was not friendly, not attentive, poor service.
Food was good overall at decent price.
Food was ok, out of items and my steak was not cooked properly. Both my porterhouse and husbands prime rib was very chewy and fatty. The mashed potatoes were dry. Best thing on the menu was the kids mac and cheese (homemade). It just wasn't worth the $85. It wasn't terrible but not worth an exspensive night out for us.
Steaks were delicious. We were just surprised for the price paid that we only got one side. Was not given soup or salad with it.
Great service and great food. It was New Years Eve, so don’t know if the noise level is that high normally.
ordered the special as we were a bit rushed (about 75 minutes to dine). medium rare prime rib came out well done. food runner dropped it and ran, couldn't get waitresses attention to get it sent back. finally a busser asked if we needed boxes, and we replied no. Manager came to our table and offered us free desserts, which we declined as our time was up and we had to depart for the theater. no offer to remove the overcooked food from our bill, or a discount of any kind. I will not be back.
Accidental nut injestion (In salmon butter) resulted in an allergic reaction here. We sent the dish back, aside from 3-4 bites taken. Not only did the manager never visit our table out of basic concern, but the server told us he refused to comp or substitute a portion of the meal, even tho it was not eaten (and despite a swollen lip!). It was a birthday celebration (indicted at reservation, but not acknowledged by staff) so we made the best of it and remained friendly and in good spirits. It’s too bad basic best practices and common courtesy was not met in return.
Service was mediocre, lots of waiting for drinks. Food took too long. Waited 1 1/2 hours for dinner. Server recommended steak to be well done and when it came out it was burnt and hard. Offered to take it back but we had already waited 1 1/2 hrs. Forget it. Gave us a free slice of cake. Not what they advertise as a Steakhouse. Will not EVER go back.
Service was fabulous. We had a party of 8 and our water was always full, plates cleared quickly, dinner was delicious!
Pikk's used to be a favorite of ours but lately the food quality seems to have taken a turn for the worse. Specifically, the brussels spouts were mushy and slimy and the burgers were just ok. I mentioned the brussels sprouts to the waitress whose response was, "huh...they just bought them this morning". She obviously did not understand that it was the preparation that made them that way. We will probably take a break from Pikk's for a while.
The food was fantastic and our waitress was a delight! It was a great choice for our anniversary dinner.
Very loud! The food was very expensive and unfortunately just average.
My wife started with a shrimp cocktail, which she loved and loved the presentation also. We both had half a slab of ribs, me with home made mac & cheese (delicious) and her - red smashed potatoes. Matthew the waiter, very gracious and attending, put together two grenadine tinted cokes for us. (non alcoholic drinkers).
The bread that came before dinner was also fantastic and the butter was seasoned just right. Ribs fell off the bones and sauce was perfect. Good portions!
Also, NO ROOM FOR DESERT. Main course was so right, we couldn't possibly have eaten desert. Haha. 5 star dining.
Very disappointed in our Sunday brunch...omlets we're greasy, chopped salad not so great. Does not deserve a 4 rating.
Service was very poor. Waited over an hour for food. Had reservation. Sat at 709. Food arrived at 810. Only received a "sorry". Very bad experience
Last evening of popcorn fest and they kept pace with the crowd!
Excellent meal with my sweet husband Thursday night. Dining outside is intimate & lovely. Already forgot our servers name but she was absolutely great. Didn't try to rush us. Much appreciated. The cedar planked Salmon, creamed spinach and pork chop were divine. We will definitely be back.
This restaurant was very nice. The atmosphere was great. The weight staff very friendly and attentive to our needs. The food was delicious. We will definitely return to this place.
We were visiting Valparaiso and thought that Pikk's had a great menu and ambiance so we checked it out and are glad we did. Food was great, service was great, a perfect end to our day!
My picky fiancé told me that was the best dinner she had in a year. The chopped salad was huge, we split it, and all of the ingredients made it very flavorful. She loved the bread, her fish and chips, and we split a coconut cream pie. I had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection.
First time there. I had the salmon. It was perfect. Our daughter had the burger of the month and my wife, the steak sandwich. All great.
Food quality was overpriced. Service was ok..even asked for mnahers assistance and he forgot. Apps were the best part so not a great experience
My burger was overcooked and although the waiter offer to have it remade, I told him to not worry about it. I have yet to have a piece of meat from here that wasn't overcooked. (Chicken usually comes out dry and hard.)
The best thing on the menu is the chopped salad with the Green Goddess dressing--to die for! But skip adding the meat, it will be cooked to a crisp.
Slow service, below average food. First time there, will not be back
It was extremely loud and it was very hard to have a conversation. The ribeye was terrific!
Let me preface by saying we loved Pikk's when we first came. The steaks were great, service is always great, and the atmosphere is nice. Ever since our first time there we've had a problem with consistency of the food. This last time we also tried to BBQ ribs and the sauce is incredibly unconventional and not good. We have tried too many times to return and still can't get the same meal that we did our first time. Unfortunately we may not be returning but it's still a great place when it's having a great night. 🙁🙁
Late review. Overall very poor experience. Drinks were extremely slow coming out from the bar. My wife and I both ordered steaks. Hers was ok and cooked correctly, my medium rare steak came out well done. I had to wait 10 minutes for a server or manager to come by to attempt a fix. They refired and it came out rare (cold center). My wife's food was done by the time my refire came out (15 minutes on refire).
I expressed disappointment to the manager for the well done and the rare steak. His plan to appease me included him saying " I used to be a fat guy and I know cake made me happy, would you like a piece of red velvet cake to make you happy". I am a bigger guy and took offense to the comment.
By the way, the cake was dry and to my surprise after 2 steaks that were cooked wrong, slow drinks and being called fat by the manager I was still charged full price for my meal.
The gumbo was delicious as well as the pub burger. We ordered the tuna tartar for an appetizer and it was extremely salty, almost to the point where I probably should have sent it back. I would avoid this dish, but overall the experience was pleasant!
I've been here before and ate lunch outside with a friend and it was fantastic Last Summer! So that same friend and I got together again many months later and had dinner and side and it was just as great the wait staff is fantastic very attentive and very friendly! I recommend this place to everyone
Enjoyed our visit. Graduation weekend gathering dinner Great way to start the weekend. Due to events in town our group had some trouble arriving. Staff very patient and gave good service and good recommendations. We loved the pork baroque sandwich w cole slaw and the salad was also delicious.
Food was great. Service, not so much..... although in all fairness it WAS Mother's Day. Server never mentioned the complimentary buffet. Also he never came to our table to check if everything was all right. Had to flag him down to get the check after sitting there for close to 20 minutes once our plates had been removed. We'll give it one more try when it isn't a holiday.
Went to Pikk's for Mother's Day. The fixed price meal included an appetizer and dessert buffet along with choice of entree. The buffet was pretty mediocre and was very messy both times we served ourselves (especially the dessert side).
Well-planned brunch menu for Mother's Day. Service was a bit slower than usual for Pikk's, which isn't surprising, given the occasion.
Food, service and staff were all excellent. Will definitely be back!
Our waiter was friendly and helpful. The food was edible, but could have been much better. My salad didn't taste fresh, and was almost tasteless. They didn't have dinner rolls, even with the salad. The shrimp diablo ok. Both dinners were not worth the price we paid.
We had an early dinner. The pork chop and filets were done to perfection. The restaurant had a comfortable atmosphere and was cute.
