We were celebrating a birthday and Mother’s Day
Great food. We had trouble figuring out who our server was. There was a large group making a bunch of noise but overall a great experience. We will be back!
soup and salad was great (except fot having to send salad back b/c had avacado in it when asked for none cuz of alergy).
wait staff and drinks were excellent but main course was poor. my steak was so over done it was like a hockey puck... prolly wont go back
Ribs and Ribeye were great. Calamari was ok. The timing of food delivery was good.
A nice place for dinner on the square - service was a little slow but overall a nice night
We attended the Easter brunch. Service could have been better but the food and pricing was good!
First time eating at Pikks. Great seafood chowda, scotch egg (huge!), caprese salad. Gumbo flavor was great but was served lukewarm. Raw oyster flavor was great but served room temp. Service was adequate. Will definitely go back but will look for improvement in a couple of areas.
Our first time - great food! For sure to visit again
The food quality was not the best. Both steaks that were ordered were over done. Seafood chowder and gumbo both barely warm at all. Server only came to the table 4 times the whole time we were there. It was not super busy and our wait for our food was over an hour. Table of 4 and we both spent over $100 and absolutely not worth what was spent.
We enjoyed a late lunch. My filet was perfectly cooked. The merlot paired nicely with it. The scotch egg appetizer was large easily shareable. They had PBR and Johnny Cash Spotify channel playing which pleased my husband!
This was our first time here. We were looking for a different kind of place for Valentine's Day. We were seated right away and given menus and silverware/napkins. Then we waited 15 minutes before the waitress came. She did apologize and to her credit, gave us our first bar drinks on the house for waiting. We had the lobster flatbread which was just okay, (may one teaspoon of lobster on top of each piece if that). My husband said his filet was good. My Ramen was just okay. As we were leaving, we checked out the downstairs. The ambience was very nice and it was much more quiet. There were only a couple of tables in use. I wish the host seating us would had given us the option of sitting down there.
Food was very good except that I’m pretty sensitive to salt. I forgot to ask to go light on the salt so I was not able to fully enjoy my side dishes.
Real nice little place. Good food, good crowd and pleasant staff.
Amazing place! Great food and service was outstanding. Just alittle noisy. Will absolutely be back!
My husbands steak was burnt. We took our kids, therefore only ordered 3 entrees. It was over $100 for the 4 of us to eat. That’s only 1 alcoholic beverage too. My shrimp Diablo was all noodles and very little shrimp. Not impressed.
It was New Year’s Eve. Had a good time. You were out of lemonade and noticed you don’t serve bread anymore. We missed that. Hopefully you will bring the bread once COVID is over. Otherwise, had an enjoyable meal.
Met family for dinner. The service was great the food was good. I would go again, but I would not get the salmon.
I had the Pad Thai (chicken). It was my first time having it and it was delicious! I look forward to having it again.
I also got the creme brulee , which happens to be my favorite dessert. It had blueberries in it and I have never had it that way before. I would highly recommend.
Overall, my first experience here at Pikk's was very enjoyable. Great service and delicious food.
Ciopino and roasted chicken was awesome. Ciopino had tons of seafood in it. The shrimp cocktail was disappointing, very small for $2.50 each and the horseradish had to kick whatsoever. Kellyn was a great server. She was fun to tease and went along with us.
Good spot, will return!
service was excellent. Food was delicious. Would have appreciated a portable heating unit near our table as we sat outside.
I would totally recommend this restaurant! Everything was great!
delightful spot in downtown Valparaiso. truly enjoy sitting outside and enjoying a nice meal with friends and family. very good service and food.
Our meal was good and we were thankful to have a place to eat outside on a beautiful night. They were very busy on a Saturday night and the service was slow at first; they corrected quickly when we brought it to their attention. Our server was friendly and fast.
They didn't have our Open Table Reservation (even tho I had confirmation) but found a seat for us anyway.
Great staff. Ended up eating here twice during our stay.
I ordered the chicken... It was awful. Dry, bland, and definitely not worth the price you have to pay. My husband ordered the salmon, it was burnt on the top and soggy on the inside... Also on the bland side.
We enjoy the outdoor patio especially on the side of building. Olivia is always a great waitress!
We had a reservation for 6pm, got seated right away, outside. Our server was attentive, but not overly, perfect timing. The entire staff was outstanding, respecting the social distancing and wearing masks, well done Pikks. Oh, the food, well I had the Friday special, Cioppino, a seafood stew with garlic pasta, amazing, definitely in the top 5 of the best meals I have ever had. My girlfriend had the chopped salad with steak added, she said it was very good. Go to Pikks, you won't regret it......
We had a wonderful evening and would return here if we are in the area again. The patio was cool and relatively quiet. The Host was efficient and friendly, as were our servers. The food was great, the drinks were too, and our water glasses were promptly refilled.
Fantastic food, wonderful outside seating great overall experience
Had a party of 5. The NY strip was very average. The salmon was good not great. Stick with the burgers and salads. Great place to hang out. Great beer selection. Service was good. Friendly and nice.
Was good overall. Bullet bourbon old fashion was not so good. Little flavor and too much ice. Sounds minor but it is something to note for the bartender.
Nice place. The steak was delicious. The broccoli was not cut into bite size pieces and not cooked enough. But overall I had a great experience. Would definitely come back. Staff was nice and attentive
Great location and service-the burgers were a little bland but because of overall experience would go back and try something different if in the area again
Used outdoor seating, not quite ready for indoors. Everything was good and enjoyed the night!
The server and the rest of the staff on the floor was excellent. The food was good and my prime rib was perfectly cooked. The Moscow mule my wife got was on the weak end. The desserts were huge and the Yorkshire pudding was ok.
Nice location and the burgers are good. I had an omelet which was just ok. It had a slice of bacon in it rather than crumbled bacon as I expected , and the broccoli had been thawed(?) so the omelet was a bit watery. Service was friendly, fast, and efficient.
We have been to Pikk’s at least 12 times and always had great food and a great experience, until our last visit. We were seated right away for our reservation, but once seated it took a long time before our server came to the table to get drinks started for us. We finally got to order and the food came out fairly quickly. The bus boys were good with keeping the water and drinks refilled which led me to believe it was just our server that was overly slow. I’ve had the half chicken before and it was great, but this time the chicken came out looking great but was dry and flavorless. The mashed potatoes I got as my side were also flavorless. I kept putting salt on both just to try to make it taste better, something I’ve never had to do at Pikk’s before. My daughter had the chicken fingers, also very dry and not much flavor. My husband’s ribeye was cooked perfectly and was probably the best thing our table got. My son’s kid’s filet was good but literally was about 4 bites of steak. Once we were done we had to wait for the plates to be cleared ever after we said we were done and asked for them to be taken away. The worst part of the service was then waiting about 15 minutes for the check to come after we had asked for it and then eating another 10 minutes for the server to pick up the check to run the credit card and bring it back for us to sign. Definitely not the quality of food or service we have experienced at Pikk’s in our other times there. Perhaps just a bad night.
Prices were high. Everything thing else was good. Overall nice experience.
