Pikake Terrace - Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel
Food is basic. Not very filling. Not worth $30
The atmosphere and service were very good and the food was very delicious.
We love the Sheraton PK Pikake Terrace buffet. It is definitely our go-to for breakfast buffet. The price is very reasonable especially in the Waikiki area. The staff is always so friendly. This place exudes the aloha spirit.
Too Expensive!!acsess is great but morning buffet is not that good.
Buffet food should not be Italian in a Hawaiian hotel. Food that use to be included in buffet are now gone. ....no watermelon no ice cream no soup . Carving station did not have turkey or ham . Buffet consisted of pasta pasta and more pasta not worth the money at all Desserts were
Not good should have coconut cake pineapple or guava items Strawberries should be included with fruit have eaten there for well over 30 years but if this buffet stays this way will never go back Very disappointing Don’t know if it has to do with Marriott taking over hotel but if it does shame on them
Daughter’s belated birthday dinner
We ended up here on their Obon Dance night! We were pleasantly surprised, but had a hard time having a conversation for our date. It's okay though because everything else went well and the food was great!
Prime rib was tender and tasty, a really good quality cut of meat. The snow crab was also steamed to perfection. I would definitely recommend this place if you are hungry, as it is all you can eat too!
Tasty dishes with great value
Crab legs are very salty. Staff informed us that the crab is just taken out of the box, no salt or anything added. Therefore, saltiness cannot be altered. Different from other crab legs I’ve eaten (just boiled, no salt). Good service though!
The buffet is decent. Not an abundance of options but acceptable.
It was hard to get a reservation on OpenTable for more than 4 people because most of the tables are set for 4, even though they were not busy. They are limiting themselves by not allowing larger parties to make reservations online.
The food is okay. The staff seems unhappy. The service was mediocre at best. The price was more than what the quality if the food was worth. I had a green aphid crawl out of my salad. The potatoes were under done. The prime rib was over cooked. Don’t waste your money.
It’s was a nice cool day to enjoy brunch in a semi outdoor area. It’s was a comfortable setting not to busy and the lines were short. The omelet bar was good with choices of breakfast meats and starched. I was surprise to see a Japanese breakfast bar with miso soup and pickled vegetables to add and they even had natto. You don’t often see that, but they must cater to the Japanese tourist. They also offered a cereal & yogurt bar with assorted fruits. The kamaaina price a good deal. It was my daughters birthday and since it was on a Sunday. I wanted to treat her to a breakfast buffet. Will definitely come back.
Saturday buffet menu should be changed. I didn't care for the Italian food that was served, there really was no taste. Nothing really stood out, taste wise.
Excellent value! Friday evening music was fabulous!
The quality of the food was excellent. The mushroom risotto and prime rib were absolutely delicious and we couldn't decide which of the assorted deserts we liked most so we had to sample them all! With the Kama'aina discount, it's a great deal for the Dinner Buffet. We took my dad to Pikake Terrace for his birthday, so i informed the staff and they gave us a beautiful slice of birthday cake. The live music performance even included singing us Happy Birthday for the occasion. Our server was extremely helpful, friendly and polite and had my family and I entertained through the evening with his jokes and humor. I am definitely recommending this place to friends and family and would definitely like to return for future occasions.
We went to this restaurant two years ago.
Food was poor than then.
We are disappointed.
Not a lot of variety but quality was good
Food was not very tasty.
Am kamaaina and was expecting the hawaiian food buffet along with the seafood. Need to bring back better food menu and the locals will come back!
Most all the food was good quality. Some of it was a bit undersalted and the prime rib was a little overdone but otherwise good offering of food and most certainly worth the money. It was a little loud with the live music but not insurmountable. Great service!
I am very satisfied.
Recommendation to friends depends on where they come from. Would not recommend the Pikake Terrace if they come from outside of Hawaii.
Saturday night crab leg buffet was terrific. Crab leg shellers, nutcrackers, and even wet wipes were already on the table when we sat down. Crab was easy to open and rather sweet. Prime rib was very good also. Dessert tray was expansive and they even had scoop your own ice cream with your choice of sugar or regular cone.
See you again in 2 months!
Went on a Saturday at 5:30pm (when the dinner buffet starts); where the price is $40 ($5 more than other nights due to Crab Legs being available only on Saturdays). There is a Kamaiina 25% discount, so our actual price was at $30.
My only complaint on the $5 increase in the Saturday pricing is that they don’t have Cioppino served that night (which is available on other nights). So basically for Saturdays, they replaced the Cioppino with Crab Legs & still charged $5 more.
Food dishes positives:
Prime Rib was excellent, Crab Legs weren’t too salty; Mushroom Risotto was excellent (not dry like in other Yelp comments), a Marinara Pasta dish was good, & the Ice Cream was good.
Food dishes cons:
Marsala Chicken was plain (no Marsala wine taste at all, Local fish was tender but no flavor, Prosciutto like cold cuts was a bit chewy, Melon fruits were not ripe, average desserts.
Service was great; they promptly took away the old plates & removed the Crab Leg shells.
Parking is free for four hours. We parked on the 4th floor & walked down the stairs to the lobby floor. I believe (not 100% on this) that if you parked on the top floors, you may have access to the hotel elevator? Something I thought I overheard someone say, but not sure if true.
All in all an average buffet. They promote it as an Italian buffet, but not much in Italian food. I wouldn’t return.
Loved this venue. It was a perfect choice for Mother's Day. The ambience was good. It was calm and quiet. The food was great but quite pricey, as to be expected for Mother's Day.
I totally would visit again. Parking was validated and free. The wait help was very attentive and friendly.
I would recommend this place to others.
It was a great Mother’s Day brunch! Great food selection, great ambiance, great staff! They even passed out lei to every mother.
I honestly did not expect the food quality would be that good at a tourist hotel restaurant. The Prime Rib is the best I have had in a very long time, much better than most steakhouses in New York; I had to go back for a seccond serving, it is that good. The clam sauce was to die for. I actually drank it like a soup after I finished the pasta. At $34 per person, this Italian buffet is probably the best deal in town.
I’ve been to many crab buffets and I must say the crab here seemed to be over cooked. Items stations weren’t manned promptly. Our Server kept reaching over unannounced which took away from our dining experience. Didn’t have the Ciopinno as mentioned on the menu in this app. On a good note, the price was exactly what we paid for. Also the Host was very pleasant and the Prime Rib server aimed to please. Hope this helps, ALOHA!
Easter Sunday brunch food was poor quality and small selection. Food did not look appetizing since dishes were more than half empty and not being refilled.
I would’ve preferred more variety in pastries rather than donut holes. The cherry cream cheese tarts were excellent. Also prefer beef to lamb.
Great food and Carving station guy was very cool! Crab and Prime rib was ono with the Au jus(brown gravy)! Very Good deal for and for locals even better!
Didn't have cioppino like last time. Also the crab is served by the prime rub carver instead of help yourself
Priced right for the variety and quality of food.
Great price if you're craving prime rib and crab legs on a Saturday night. Food was excellent, and service was okay. Definitely recommend.
The atmosphere was nice. Live Hawaiian music. Nice area. Validation parking. Seafood was very average. Promotion price is good. I'd not pay full price for it.
