Pik Nik BBQ
The owner - super nice. The food - excellent! Get the fried chicken (homemade breading) and brisket.
Upon arriving at the restaurant we were informed that they ran out of food. When I asked why they didn’t bother to call and/or cancel or reservation there response was that they had just run out of food as we were walking through the door - all the food was instantly gone in that exact moment. I asked if we’re planning to call the rest of their reservations for the evening. They said no. Very poor customer service.
Made a reservation on open table yet when we arrived it was unclear who the speak to, finally was told we would sit as soon as they set up outside then was admittedly told they forgot about us. They are essentially using the tables for customers getting food to go and not upholding dinner reservations. They should not be on open table if this is the case
We made a dinner reservation for Tuesday evening at 6 pm. It seemed to go through without a problem, but when we arrived, Pic Nik was closed. There was no notice on the restaurant 's website or on Open Table. It was a disappointment and an inconvenience. I certainly would not go to this restaurant or use Open Table since it is not reliable.
could not order 1/2 the menu items because they were out
the food was good but not great, I think this was because it was not warm, , took some leftover food home which was better reheated than I remember at the restaurant. It was a bit busy as it was Saturday, thinking takeout or coming on a different night would be better.
After 35 minutes of waiting for two brisket sandwiches and two Mac and cheeses, we requested a refund and ate somewhere else.
Great food and service! Everything we have ever tried here, has always been SOOO good. Can’t go wrong with the beef short rib and their Mac and cheese! The service is always great, no matter what time of day you come, very friendly staff.
They have outdoor dining which was nice to seat outside, but there aren't many table options. The table we sat at was a bit wobbly and very close to the side walk so people kept passing by!
This is my favorite BBQ restaurant in Westchester. Definitely worth visiting.
It isn't clear if reservations are actually being honored; two small tables in front of restaurant. Food is delicious though.
The owner was super nice and conversational. The food was fire! Got ribs, Texas brisket sandwich w pickles, and chicken wings; sides mac n cheese, cole slaw, and corn bread. All were excellent!! I’ll return.
The food was delicious and worth the wait.
Terrific outdoor dinner at PikNik. Food was wonderful - best BBQ ever. We had brisket, baby back ribs (hardly any fat, fell off the bone and delicious!) mac & cheese, cole slaw, baked beans and corn bread. Would highly recommend! They are very respectful of social distancing and service was excellent.
It’s a bit difficult to judge some aspects, as this visit was made during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, even based upon that, the food and service was outstanding. These owners and employees truly understand what it means to treat customers as family and go the extra mile to ensure an enjoyable time together. That only enhanced the spectacularly good food — some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had! Highly recommend!
We had a reservation. The place was busy and understaffed. There was one lady at the register who takes the order, answers the phone, takes the payment, and delivers the food. We had to wait a while for her to get off the phone with take out calls before we could order. She took our order, we paid, and she said she would bring the food to our table. Ten minutes later, she arrived at our table without any food and stated that they were out of ribs and out of brisket. This was a Saturday night at 7 p.m. The only remaining choices were fried chicken and pulled pork. It is unbelievable that a bbq joint would run out of ribs and brisket. We requested a refund and got one. We also got a curt and insincere apology. This was our first (and last) visit to this establishment. You only get one chance to make a good first impression.
We were the only diners late night on Valentine’s Day, and while they were out of some things, there was very good pulled pork, highly praiseworthy smoked chicken wings, and all the sides were a success. The staff was very kind and helpful, and the music was festive and upbeat. I’d go back.
Very good low & slow BBQ meats with assorted sides and sauces. The Short Ribs were sold out by the time we arrived at 5pm on a Friday. The Honey and Banana sauces were my personal favorites. The Brisket and pork ribs were fall apart with a fork fantastic. Couple of beers on tap and sides galore - the Brussels sprouts were awesome. Wanted the homemade vinegar and salt chips but sold out! Friendly service and owner. A great place to eat before a show at the Tarrytown Music Hall.
