Pig & Finch Gastropub Ratings and Reviews
We had a wonderful dinner experience, the food, service, and atmosphere were excellent. We had the pork belly for our appetizer which was a delight oh so good. For our entrees we got the scallops, pork chop, prime rib salmon and shepards pie all the food was immaculate definitely something you couldn't get from home. The chef really does a great job plating and making sure all the food is sent out to perfection can really tell food is his passion. The service was also great we had Caitlyn as our waitress and she did a supurb job. The atmosphere is very nice as well we went on a couple date and we all really enjoyed ourselves. Oh and dessert was a little piece of heaven as well a great way to end an already great night. We will definitely be returning and can't wait to try other things on the menu
Scallops with green curry were inedible due to extreme saltiness. I sent them back to the kitchen and was told the salt was in the sauce so nothing could be done to remedy the dish. I was given an alternative and enjoyed the maple-glazed pork. My wife’s trout was good but not very flavorful. Brussel sprouts were good.
Wow. I’ve been here for dinner before but this time it was phenomenal! Great appetizers, fabulous but a bit expensive wine, and absolutely scrumptious duck entree...I want more of that, all the time. Good service, and I also tasted the scallops and steak. They were also wonderful.
I cannot say enough nice things about this restaurant; their food and their service. On this particular visit, it started out as 3 people for dinner at 6pm and morphed to 11 people - a business gathering. They were kind enough, without my knowledge, to move us to their private room. The food and service were outstanding all night, and the quality of interaction between the dinner participants was enhanced being in that private space. Many attendees from the two organizations had never met, so the restaurant's hospitality and service was even more critical in making the dinner more productive and valuable. In the end, I saw nothing but completely empty plates (and a few orders of the amazing donut holes) - enough said!
I would return for Happy Hour as the Manhattan was fantastic and lounge was very nice with great service. We had dinner and felt it was way overpriced. My trout was just okay...had way too much sauce and overpowered by almond flavor. My partner's burger was okay and again...nothing to write home about for the price. The location is great if you're going to a movie at the Town Center...but we'd do dinner elsewhere next time.
Our server, Jon, was very polite. He kept my coffee warm, despite the freezing temperatures pouring out of the A/C on me :) We had pork belly, muscles, scallops, curry wings. Everything was top notch. Thank you for such a wonderful lunch experience for us to celebrate our employees' birthday.
Always great service and great food! We live outside of the metro area, so after work, going BACK in is the last place my husband wants to go after a long day. This place is one of his favorites, so if I can get him to make the drive, you know its worth it!!!
P&F has always been my favorite destination in Park Place. Take my advice: Eat at the chef's table and watch all the energy from the theatre kitchen. Or look out the windows to Barkley Square for some good "people watching". The bar scene is cool too and has a great pub/tavern feel. Try the Shortrib Ragout sandwich, it will change your life. 5 Stars!
We currently don't live in the KC Metro area and made a last minute trip for dinner on a Friday evening. Yelp recommended Pig and Finch so we gave it a try...wow we loved the service and food. Amazing atmosphere. Definitely a favorite that we would highly recommend!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I really enjoy dining here--the food is good, the service is good and since they have a large dining area it's not too hard to get a table on a Saturday night. I'm not going to mention names, but I think this restaurant is much better than a couple of others in Town Center.
Very enjoyable experience at Pig & Finch. I was in town for business and decided to check out a new place. I sat at the bar and the service was excellent. The Southern Stuffed Chicken was tasty and the zucchini fires were amazing.
The entree was great - we shared the salmon and it was cooked nicely and plated beautifully. The Kale Salad was tasty but simple and felt like I could have prepared the same at home. Wines were decent and certainly a generous pour which was nice. Pork belly was fantastic, very nice dish. Nice to dine outside.
Watermelon soup was forgettable to me and too thick and orange in color - I would prefer a soup that showed the graininess of the ground watermelon and avoided thickeners. Do not order the white chocolate Swiss roll. It is terrible; the white chocolate had an off taste and texture and we had one bite and left the rest. Plating was awful. Once we noted that we disliked the dish, the server mentioned that they liked it but that it was not their favorite. How's that for an understatement? Only downside of outdoor dining is the car traffic.
Overall value: we felt that you didn't get the quality of food expected for the price. We may or may not be back here but think that careful choosing when it comes to the menu would help the experience.
We were celebrating our anniversary and the server noticed greeting cards on the table and asked what we were celebrating. We were pleasantly surprised when the bill was presented to us without the charge of our desserts. He said they were on the house and wished us a happy anniversary.
The food was great, but it was an unusually long wait for our food and we have a 2 year old who can't sit still for a long time. They did not come to the table to refill my water. Other than that we felt welcomed and we were treated well by the staff and waitress.
