Always enjoy dining at Pig and Finch.
Delicious food and a delightful setting. Love the location, too!
We love Pig and finch!! Often bring out of town company to this restaurant. food is always good, service is always lovely, love the happy hour and outdoor patio as well! Can't go wrong!!
Excellent brunch choices. Several variations of eggs benedict that were very good. Biscuits and gravy were delicious!
As always, great food and service. Very welcoming and attentive staff.
Brought a friend to taste The signature dish Salina Bay Salmon! I had their Scallops dish. As always the very best! Service was attentive. Enjoyed the dinner.
Food is ALWAYS so good! Service is ALWAYS so slow. Bartenders seem very unaware and absent. There were only 4 tables of diners and the drink service was so slow. Sat at bar for 5 min before even being acknowledged, was given a menu, sat for another 10 minutes. Not he first time that has happened. Never saw the bartender again. Food service is always fast. Too fast for the bar service!
Our second time there and again we went in the 5-6pm time slot. Not at all busy at that hour. Despite the lack of a crowd, service was a bit spotty. My wife had a delicious pork slow roast--lots of meat while I had a duck breast--not much meat. Beet salad was excellent my wife said. I had just an OK house salad. We are on a diet, so no desert.
Wine may look a little expensive but the pours are large. Croquets were a little heavy with potato and coating, but good clavor. Artichokes were amazing. All 4 main dishes were enjoyed by all. Salmon, short rib grilled cheese, pork shoulder and Saturday special short rib. Coffee and chocolate cake for desert. Everything was wonderful. Restaurant was 1/2 full and just a little loud due to openness and might have been really loud if full. We will be back much more often that we have been.
What a charming restaurant! The waitstaff was friendly. The room was pretty and the food yummy. I loved the scallops with apple, pear and cauliflower. It sounds like a weird combination, but it worked and was delicious.
We had an early dinner--5pm--so it was pretty quiet in the dining room but the Happy Hour in the bar seemed to be going strong. I had the scallops which were blackened--a touch spicier than I like but I will order again next time with a request for less seasoning. They came with, among things, small pear chunks in the sauce which where a nice touch. My wife started with the beet side dish which she really loved. My side salad was a little "dry" in terms of the greens. My wife had the shepherd's pie entree which was the special that night. She really liked it--devoured the whole large serving! We were so full we skipped desert.
Closed early. Doors locked when my reservation was scheduled
Meatloaf special on Tuesday was amazing as well as our server
Limited menu. Overpriced. Service was not very good. There are lots of great restaurants in the area and this is not one.
An enjoyable experience as usual!
Ben, our server, was very nice, but he had too many tables. The fair service was visible several times during the evening. For example, we had two orders of fries for our table as an appitizers with our cocktails. As he brought them, we asked for ketchup. About 5 minutes went by and 1/2 the fries were already eaten, when we had to flag down a mgr. and ask for ketchup. He brought it right away.
By the way, I had a chicken sandwich which was outstanding.
Amazing food, attentive service, and a relaxing dining experience.
The food was good, large portions. Wine is expensive. I will go back to try the lamb burger or meatballs. It looks like a good place to go if you need some alterations to your meal. I am paleo and and it looked like a good place to stick to my diet.
Perfect evening of food and service!
I have this a 4 star because the beer list was limited and features few local options which was out interest as well as the meal.
Sheryl, Thank you so much for the review. We do try to feature as many local beers as possible. 9 out of our 12 taps are local brews. We're only able to have 12 taps as part of an agreement with Park Place since there is a micro-brewery across the street. Because of that, we rotate our taps as much as possible. We really do appreciate the feed back and if there are any specific beers you would like to see, I can do my best to get them on our list. Hope to see you again soon!!
The service and food was excellent!! The thai beef salad is delicious as well as the scallops and pork shoulder. We are never disappointed here.
Great food and atmosphere
Our server, Hannah, was superb. She was attentive and helpful with the recommendations. The octopus was perfectly tender, the tomato soup was excellent as always and the trout was yummy. Thank you for a very wonderful and memorable time.
Great way to celebrate our 20 year anniversary! We will be back for another date night.
Nice place we sat outside and listened to a band playing. Service was ok, food was slow to come out, but was good. I would go back again.
We had a wonderful celebration dinner for our 23rd Wedding Anniversary on July 6th at the Pig and Finch! The food was excellent and the service provided by Ty (?) was exceptional. Would certainly recommend for dinner and we will be back soon!
Absolutely loved this place! Definitely will be a new staple for my husband and I. I love steak and can be very picky. That being said the steak n frites were INCREDIBLE. It was cooked perfectly and I absolutely loved the demi glaze on it! Definitely coming back soon.
Food was okay but not worth the price. Limited menu.
The staff was so helpful and attentive to make our anniversary special. The food was "Amazing" We will be returning soon. What a hidden jewel.
Our server what not friendly or knowledgeable. Not only did she not give us any info on the menu when we asked but she stood right behind us with leaning against our boot making us verry uncomfortable. She some how disappeared when we needed her. It was irritating to watch how attentive the other servers were to their tables with how bad ours was.
We went looking for light appetizers and left $105 poorer for wings and a flatbread. Cmon. If you charge Leawood prices for stuff make it good quality. I won’t go back.
Such a perfect girls night!! The food, service and atmosphere were incredible. We tried a number of different small plates and main entrees. Very unique dishes, and components that you don’t see very many other places. ALL the flavors were exactly on point... the scallops stood out as the star of the show. You wouldn’t think corn, pears and curry would go together... but oh my gosh, amazing! We’ll definitely be back!!
Everything was so tasty perfect before our movie
We went to Pig and Finch for the first time last night and had such a fabulous time. My husband and I sat on the patio and had the best service. It's such perfect place for a Monday night post a long day of work.
The food was incredible and presented beautifully. My husband got the salmon and loved it. I tried a little and normally I hate salmon but this was actually really delicious!! I had the house salad and tomato soup. I wish I had tried an actual entree after sampling my husband's. I will say the salad, I got half a salad, was a full plate and very filling. The dressing was flavorful but light which was perfect for a summer evening. The soup was honestly the best tomato soup I've ever had, it was topped with ricotta cheese and balsamic. I can't stop thinking about it today! Compliments to the Chef and his team!!
The whole evening was lovely, everyone working was so kind and helpful. We will definitely be back!!
Do not go during a holiday. Such a bummer to be forced to pay $30 a head for buffet for Father’s Day. Even the best restaurants in Chicago never charged that much. Cold waffles, so-so other items. Kitchen was completely closed. More then half empty restaurant. Bummed to not be able to order hot food.
We went for Fathers Day brunch and thought it was their normal menu. Nothing on their website indicated a buffet. We enjoyed our day with family but food was just ok and not as hot or as fresh as an actual served meal and it ended up costing 2-3 times their normal brunch menu.
Have been to the restaurant before and really enjoyed our dinner. Would visit again for their normal menu but not for a buffet.
Very nice selection of delicious brunch items. Prime rib was especially good. The table service for drinks was a little slow, but all in all a very pleasant experience.
We used to love brunch here, but service started going downhill a few years ago. Decided to give it another try for Father's Day. We didn't realize they would have a buffet (which we didn't want) because it wasn't mentioned on their website or Open Table. When we arrived to find it was a buffet, it was too late to find someplace else to eat. Buffet was WAY overpriced for what it was. We could have had a quality brunch at a dozen other places for the price ($30 pp). And coffee was not included, which is annoying. Desserts were frozen food service petit fours, danishes were what you'd find at a Hampton Inn free breakfast.
Not at all impressed.
I have been here multiple times and it’s normally pretty good. Unfortunately the food and service weren’t good during this visit.
Food was great, atmosphere was nice and quiet , for a Saturday evening I was shocked. Nice place to have good food and conversation.
