Pig & Finch Gastropub
Our take on "Gastropub" provides you with a wide variety of options that range from straightforward pub food to elegant dishes created by Chef Joshua Minnich. Our nightly specials include neighborhood favorites like Braised Short Rib, Fried Chicken and Meatloaf ($17-$22). Signature Entreés include Skuna Bay Salmon, Pan Seared Scallops, Roasted Duck Breast and Espresso Rubbed Pork Shoulder ($24-$32).
The term "scratch" doesn't only apply to our kitchen. Our bar program includes house made syrups and infusions that we use in our Seasonal Cocktails which we update regularly. 12 taps that rotate with local and national craft beer selections. A wine list that will keep your wallet happy with 45+ wines under $50... and for special nights some $200-$300 bottles that would make any Sommelier drool.
All of this is designed, prepared and served by friendly folks that are passionate about what they do and how they do it.
Excellent food. More importantly, the service was outstanding. Everyone from the greeter, to the waiter, to the chef was friendly and eager to serve us.
Such a lovely evening! The staff have great teamwork, and it’s noticeable. Everyone was so professional. The food was perfect, expertly plated, seasoned and cooked to perfection. It was a lovely anniversary date night dinner.
The food is always good and the menu is just the right size. You should try.
Enjoyed their happy hours but they have limited food options available. The main menu is good and I like the daily specials options but I could only eat one dish and selected a standard diner menu item. It was good (shrimp and grits) but could have used some side vegetables or salad because it lacked balance. Ordered the molten cake that came out cold and the manager was super nice and removed it from my bill plus gave me a $10 gift card. I will definitely come back and give them another shot.
Food was excellent and many of the offerings had a unique twist that made them special. Case in point, the coffee/honey crusted pork shoulder. Very unique flavor profile and very very good. Menu overall a bit pricier than some alternatives, but we will be back.
It was my first time dining here and I am excited to go back! We enjoyed our experience very much. Great service and delicious food!
Great service. Great food and cocktails. Always happy to introduce friends and colleagues to Pig & Finch! Never disappoints!
Food was excellent -- fresh, flavorful, well presented. My wife and son had the duck breast which they both said was cooked to perfection and delicious. My sister-in-law had the smoked pork shank -- huge portion, tender, juicy, falling off the bone, and loaded with flavor. I had a perfectly prepared pork chop with haricot vert, roasted cauliflower, and a sweet, tangy apple mostarda.
Service was impeccable. Our server was pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive to our needs without being intrusive.
The surroundings were pleasant and relaxing, a pub setting with rich wood paneling accented with colorful paintings and murals. The noise level was low to moderate, permitting conversation without raised voices.
My only complaint was a brown ale which I found to be thin bodied and rather sour. Otherwise, we had a wonderful dining experience.
I have quite a few food allergies (eggs, dairy, and peanuts) and I really don’t like trying new restaurants bc some waiters make me feel bad as though Im being a picky eater by choice. But the waiter and chef from tonight went above and beyond to ensure my food was allergen friendly!!! Even though it took them a bit longer to prepare my meal, I was extremely impressed with how GREAT the food tasted!!! As we dined, we also made reservations to return next month!!!! Our only complaint was we wished they had a table light for the outside seats bc it got a bit tricky to see things once the sun went away.
One of us dined on Salmon and the other had Scallops. Both were excellently prepared and had great flavor. But the best part of the meal was the Brussel Sprouts. I’m not sure how the chef does it but they are the best.
It's always a wonderful experience at P the food exquisite. Thank you to the entire staff!
Always enjoy dining at Pig and Finch.
Delicious food and a delightful setting. Love the location, too!
We love Pig and finch!! Often bring out of town company to this restaurant. food is always good, service is always lovely, love the happy hour and outdoor patio as well! Can't go wrong!!
Excellent brunch choices. Several variations of eggs benedict that were very good. Biscuits and gravy were delicious!
As always, great food and service. Very welcoming and attentive staff.
Brought a friend to taste The signature dish Salina Bay Salmon! I had their Scallops dish. As always the very best! Service was attentive. Enjoyed the dinner.
Food is ALWAYS so good! Service is ALWAYS so slow. Bartenders seem very unaware and absent. There were only 4 tables of diners and the drink service was so slow. Sat at bar for 5 min before even being acknowledged, was given a menu, sat for another 10 minutes. Not he first time that has happened. Never saw the bartender again. Food service is always fast. Too fast for the bar service!
Our second time there and again we went in the 5-6pm time slot. Not at all busy at that hour. Despite the lack of a crowd, service was a bit spotty. My wife had a delicious pork slow roast--lots of meat while I had a duck breast--not much meat. Beet salad was excellent my wife said. I had just an OK house salad. We are on a diet, so no desert.
Wine may look a little expensive but the pours are large. Croquets were a little heavy with potato and coating, but good clavor. Artichokes were amazing. All 4 main dishes were enjoyed by all. Salmon, short rib grilled cheese, pork shoulder and Saturday special short rib. Coffee and chocolate cake for desert. Everything was wonderful. Restaurant was 1/2 full and just a little loud due to openness and might have been really loud if full. We will be back much more often that we have been.
What a charming restaurant! The waitstaff was friendly. The room was pretty and the food yummy. I loved the scallops with apple, pear and cauliflower. It sounds like a weird combination, but it worked and was delicious.
We had an early dinner--5pm--so it was pretty quiet in the dining room but the Happy Hour in the bar seemed to be going strong. I had the scallops which were blackened--a touch spicier than I like but I will order again next time with a request for less seasoning. They came with, among things, small pear chunks in the sauce which where a nice touch. My wife started with the beet side dish which she really loved. My side salad was a little "dry" in terms of the greens. My wife had the shepherd's pie entree which was the special that night. She really liked it--devoured the whole large serving! We were so full we skipped desert.
Closed early. Doors locked when my reservation was scheduled
Meatloaf special on Tuesday was amazing as well as our server
Limited menu. Overpriced. Service was not very good. There are lots of great restaurants in the area and this is not one.
An enjoyable experience as usual!
Ben, our server, was very nice, but he had too many tables. The fair service was visible several times during the evening. For example, we had two orders of fries for our table as an appitizers with our cocktails. As he brought them, we asked for ketchup. About 5 minutes went by and 1/2 the fries were already eaten, when we had to flag down a mgr. and ask for ketchup. He brought it right away.
By the way, I had a chicken sandwich which was outstanding.
Amazing food, attentive service, and a relaxing dining experience.
The food was good, large portions. Wine is expensive. I will go back to try the lamb burger or meatballs. It looks like a good place to go if you need some alterations to your meal. I am paleo and and it looked like a good place to stick to my diet.
Perfect evening of food and service!
I have this a 4 star because the beer list was limited and features few local options which was out interest as well as the meal.
Sheryl, Thank you so much for the review. We do try to feature as many local beers as possible. 9 out of our 12 taps are local brews. We're only able to have 12 taps as part of an agreement with Park Place since there is a micro-brewery across the street. Because of that, we rotate our taps as much as possible. We really do appreciate the feed back and if there are any specific beers you would like to see, I can do my best to get them on our list. Hope to see you again soon!!
The service and food was excellent!! The thai beef salad is delicious as well as the scallops and pork shoulder. We are never disappointed here.
Great food and atmosphere
Our server, Hannah, was superb. She was attentive and helpful with the recommendations. The octopus was perfectly tender, the tomato soup was excellent as always and the trout was yummy. Thank you for a very wonderful and memorable time.
Great way to celebrate our 20 year anniversary! We will be back for another date night.
Nice place we sat outside and listened to a band playing. Service was ok, food was slow to come out, but was good. I would go back again.
We had a wonderful celebration dinner for our 23rd Wedding Anniversary on July 6th at the Pig and Finch! The food was excellent and the service provided by Ty (?) was exceptional. Would certainly recommend for dinner and we will be back soon!
Absolutely loved this place! Definitely will be a new staple for my husband and I. I love steak and can be very picky. That being said the steak n frites were INCREDIBLE. It was cooked perfectly and I absolutely loved the demi glaze on it! Definitely coming back soon.
Food was okay but not worth the price. Limited menu.
The staff was so helpful and attentive to make our anniversary special. The food was "Amazing" We will be returning soon. What a hidden jewel.
