Pig & Finch Gastropub
Our take on "Gastropub" provides you with a wide variety of options that range from straightforward pub food to elegant dishes created by Chef Joshua Minnich. Our nightly specials include neighborhood favorites like Braised Short Rib, Fried Chicken and Meatloaf ($17-$22). Signature Entreés include Skuna Bay Salmon, Pan Seared Scallops, Roasted Duck Breast and Espresso Rubbed Pork Shoulder ($24-$32).
The term "scratch" doesn't only apply to our kitchen. Our bar program includes house made syrups and infusions that we use in our Seasonal Cocktails which we update regularly. 12 taps that rotate with local and national craft beer selections. A wine list that will keep your wallet happy with 45+ wines under $50... and for special nights some $200-$300 bottles that would make any Sommelier drool.
All of this is designed, prepared and served by friendly folks that are passionate about what they do and how they do it.
Key Lime Pie was disappointing. Flavor was flat and texture was stiff. Other frozen desserts not available secondary to freezer malfunction. Give the high quality of the appetizers and mains I would have thought they would have sourced substitute desserts from local bakeries.
Our server was fantastic and the food was above average. The braised shortrib was perfectly cooked but somewhat bland. The lamb ribs were just right, but were overpowered by the seasoning.
Each time I come to Pig and Finch I am blown away by the service, the experience and most importantly the food! I learn new flavor combinations and food pairings from the very helpful staff. Absolutely awesome every time!
We love this place. Great food and atmosphere, it’s the perfect combination of upscale and low key. Service is always outstanding.
We really were very happy with venturing out and trying a new place, it was outstanding food and great service!!! This is on our foodie list for life now!!
The room was so cold we had to eat with out coats on. Two people that ordered salmon both were undercooked, they took them back to cook them more, but by the time they brought them back the other two people were already done with their meals.
This was great! Great service, great drinks, and amazing happy hour.
Our first visit, and we for sure would return. Great food and wonderful place to meet up with someone to visit and have great food for a great price.
We love all of the food here, pork anything is delicious here!
Food was fine but not spectacular. The short ribs were over cooked and my the sauce on my husbands scallops had great color but not a distinctive flavor and he said it was gritty
Excellent service, great food and beer, as always.
Went to Pig & Finch for my bday weekend for dinner. And as always food was fantastic and service was great. It is never a disappomitment always satisfied. Thank you
This was our first visit to this restaurant. There was a group of 6 of us. Everyone enjoyed their food. We will definitely go back.
The drinks are overpriced. House single & house wine both $8 each. A splash of house liquor on ice topped with soda water in a 6oz glass should not cost $8. Same with a glass of house wine. Neither drink was too shelf or even 2nd shelf. The food portions were small, it was over cooked, lacking in flavor, & over priced at almost $30 each. Lamb spare ribs meat was crunchy & did not fall off the bone at all. Had to pull it off the bone with my teeth. The scallops were rubbery & gritty. The sides for both entrees were lacking in flavor & were overly crunchy. Total date night with the wife dinner bill $83.
I had incredible lamp short ribs. Flavor was through the rough. Green beans were my favorite even though everything was so tasty. Had a side of bread. Toasted it was delicious. Needed something to go with my Spice Pear Fizz cocktail. Amazing and not too sweet.
We had only been for appetizers prior to dinner last Friday. ALL of our meals were wonderful. My pan seared trout was outstanding. The pork chop and fish & chips (a Friday item) did not disappoint.
It was a perfect experience for our Christmas get together. Service was great. Food was excellent. Well dine again and again.
Best Caesar salad ever👍salmon excellent also👌
Food was great. Wish we didn't have to pay for a bread basket.
Sunday brunch menu is fabulous
The eggs Benedict’s our very favorite
Son’s 31st birthday
Sat down and was greeted quickly but then our waitress seemed disinterested. Service was extremely slow and it took far too long to get food. We got there early to give ourselves plenty of time but despite that fact it was nearly 40 minutes to get food.
Food was very good but a little overpriced.
Great set up and server! The martini was on the weak side all the way around. The pizza appetizer was burned on the bottom and they were out of lamb, but? Maybe it was just an off night. All the other meals turned out well.
Steak was waaay over cooked, well well done, and really late.
Good food and price is very good.Good place for lunch and dinner.
The food was OK, nothing I couldn’t get at Chilis for a third the price. It was an overall...meh.
Great and gun place.
Love the food and atmosphere!
Great vibe, food was a little "fancy" & unrelatable for us.
Quality food for quality price. If you are worried about cost just know they give you enough food to feed two people.
The dishes are awesome and so went back for the Chef's signature Salmon dish. its perfect as expected.
Overall we enjoyed a nice meal. My husband's Nashville chicken sandwich was soggy and rubbery, he did not eat it. Our server did not seem to notice. We had a party of 5 and the other food was very good.
The service was excellent; attentive without being overbearing, friendly, and our server was extremely knowledgeable about the items on the menu. The Steak Frites was delicious, as was the caramel ice cream with raspberry sauce and chocolate shavings. It was a great dinner. Thank you.
Had a very nice dinner and the food was very good, highly recommend pig and finch for great food and atmosphere
The location was great. The hostess made us feel welcome upon arrival and was very friendly. After checking to see if it was our first time there, she was very complementary of the restaurant and a wealth of knowledge.
We had the Magnificent Ben as our waiter and he rocked it!!! He also found out that it was our first visit and that we were celebrating a new job. He went over the drink specials, cocktails and the wine list. Then we talked about the menu. He was very detailed on ingredients, preparation, P&F customer favorites, his favorites (which were plenty :-), and the specials for each day. He was very attentive during our meal and went over the dessert menu at the end. In addition to the meal and restaurant it's self, Ben was very friendly and personable as our discussions went into our personal interest as well. Again, he rocked it!!!
We were leaving and the TVs in the bar caught our eye as a game of interest was on. We had a very lovely bartender, and her name escapes me, approach us. My husband asked her about one beer in particular, that all turned into us sitting at the bar where she gave out a couple of samples, and we ended up buying more drinks and sitting at the bar talking to her for a while. She was from the UK and quite lovely... We picked up a friend at the bar who was there alone; and a great time was had by all.
We'll be back!
Really enjoyed myself. Food was amazing. I will be back.
We are new to the KC area and have been anxious to try Pig and Finch after reading positive reviews. Love the fact that they emphasize local farmers and producers.
We ordered half Caesar salads (nice option) and for entrees the Steak Frites and Espresso Pork Shoulder. Both were delicious but the Red Wine Demiglace and Maple Glaze were a touch too sweet for our palates. We get that’s a personal preference thing and it’s hard to please everyone. :)
From the warm greeting and service to the quality of the food and the feel of the restaurant we thoroughly enjoyed our first experience and will be back!
Pig & Finch is a great choice for dining in Overland Park or Leawood. The food and service are always very good.
We did the happy hour so the prices were very affordable. Unfortunately, the bartender was pulling double duty behind the bar and serving food to tables in the bar. Not his fault at all. The shrimp and grits was good and the tuna tacos were good.
