   My family and I had a really bad experience in this restaurant. We are coming from Chicago to NYC for the first time to experience the greatness of it. Sadly, the experience here made me hesitant to try any other new restaurant. The problem here is that it was one person’s fault, our waiter. He was really rude. To begin he took long time to come to our table and greet us. Then, when he came, he gave asked us what do we want to order, but he never gave us the menus!! Then, he took another 7 to 10 minutes to come back to take our drink order, but he didn’t gave us the menu for these either. He told us that this restaurant does not have drink menu, but that they have anything that we wanted, so I asked for an apple caramel martini and he told me that they don’t make that, then I asked for a chocolate martini and he told me that they don’t make that either. He did not bother to go ask the bar tender for any options. Then, we order our food and when I wanted chicken for my pasta, he told me is going to be $10 extra. I said I don’t care. Meaning, I didn’t ask that. Then, our Oder took so long. He was taking good care of other tables but ours. I was going leave, but I didn’t want to make a big deal, I am on vacation and I wanted to have a good time with my family. Sadly, due to this bad experience, I can’t recommend Pietro’s restaurant.

   Beet salad had very little beet in it. Lamb chops were fabulous huge portion and delicious meat. Linguine w clam sauce a bit bland Good service!

   I used to come here all the time for business lunches when I worked in the area. My office moved and so I haven’t been in 8 years. I brought my 10 year old daughter for dinner before a broadway show. She loved it, which was all that mattered. The food is still top notch Italian, great service, reasonably priced. Mdaughter wants to go back soon, we don’t live in the city.

   We enjoyed the plentiful portions of food at Pietro's, and the service was outstanding! Caesar and chopped salads are exceptionally good. We will continue to highly recommend this family owned Italian restaurant.

   We were really looking forward to having dinner here based on the reviews BUT it was terrible. Once seated we asked for a wine list, 20 minutes later we had to ask for it again. Finally we got that and a glass of water. There was no mention of specials so we proceeded to order. The food was just OK. In the meantime a party was seated next to us and immediately was told about the specials. Of the ones mentioned I would have order two of them had I known. The coiffed was cold when it arrived which was understandable since that took 10 minutes. If the restaurant was busy I could possibly understand some of the issues however there were only 2 other tables with customers for the first hour. The prices are ridiculously expensive considering all the things previously mentioned.

    Pietro's is consistently outstanding. It is a classic. Great parm dishes and the best caesar salad in the city. Solid bar. The biscotti (if that is what they are) are strangely enjoyable.

    Everything was great. Good size portion. The flavors were excellent. Fast service but yet we were allowed to take our time and just enjoy. Good price for great food. The veal p was awesome!

    The food is always a consistent A++. The pasta bolognese, veal parm, Caesar’s salad, Ny strip steak & shrimp fra Diavlo are my favorites. If you are looking for amazing old school Italian food, Pietro’s can’t be beat.

    I have eaten here many times and after tonight’s experience I will never go here again. The service was lousy- it took over an hour to get our entrees. We did not get out there until 8:30. Our reservation was at 6. Bad service, mediocre food and the wine tasted like “Tuesday was a good year.” Never again. I’d rather starve then eat there again.

    We were in NUC celebrating our friends 60th birthday from Florida. Pietros came highly recommended. So we made a reservation weeks in advance. From the moment we arrived we had the most amazing elegant and wonderful experience. The beautiful ambiance, exceptional server who was so knowledgeable about the menu, we enjoyed delicious plentiful drinks to celebrate. The most exquisite cuisine and with such an incredible staff to be there for our very request. Never was out water glass low because there was someone at any time there to refill. The wine selection was abundant and we enjoyed the cocktails before our meal as well. What made it so special was the people we were celebrating with but the staff at Pietros made us feel so welcome and they shared in our celebration by being the perfect hosts. It was a flawless night we will remember always. Thank you to everyone at Pietros!!!! We will highly recommend Pietros- just as our friends who visit NYC often recommended your restaurant to us initially. Thank you!!

    Wait staff was very attentive. Food was spectacular! Only issue was that the server recommended food for our kids and then wrote in on our bill “full order.” The portions were way too much for kids and he didn’t tell us that a half portion was an option. It felt like a cheap way to make extra money off us.

    Fantastic! Antoino was a great server - attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The cannelloi was tremendous and the Veal Marsala was probably the best I've ever had.

    Service was good, kind of. Waiter and service team was attentive. Our third party member ordered Ziti and Shrimp scampi as an appetizer. He never received the Ziti and Scampi was served as the main dish and the price was doubled to $50. Worst shrimp scampi I’ve ever had. The food overall was pretty terrible. Olive Garden is better honestly. Will never recommend this establishment. Terrible.

    Both my husband & I LOVE Pietro's for a relaxed, unpretentious dinner when we are in NY. The food is always delicious. In particular, the prosciutto & melon was the best I've EVER had during my most recent visit.

    Great place for homestyle, traditional Italian food. Lively atmosphere, friendly staff and family environment. Meals are not rushed and lingering conversation is allowed. Fun place for family gatherings, small parties and special events. A neighborhood gem!

    Whenever we want a great meal we head to Pietro's. And we are never disappointed. The service is great, portions humongous, and good incredibly delectable. Everyone that we bring there has a great time and wants to come back. Super news that brother Bill is back after a long hiatus to help brother David back. This dynamic duo along with their dad Bill makes Pietro's the special place that it is.
