Pietro's Italian restaurant was founded in 1932 by brothers Natale and Pietro Donini. While ownership has changed hands, the recipes and traditions that the brothers created have lived on. This was the worst experience we have ever had at Pietro's. The waiter got our vegetarian daughters order wrong and brought Veal which she has not eaten in 25 years. That meant another 10 minutes for her to get her meal. My steak was tasty but Very Hard to cut through. Only the Chopped Salad was up to par. Sad for this to be our last experience at Pietro's on 43rd Street.

Veal Marsala and Meat Canneloni were both FANTASTIC. Service was excellent as well.

I'm sorry to hear this location is closing and moving to Long Island. The food is TREMENDOUS. (Veal Marsala and Meat Canneloni)

The food was ok. Started on a bad note w unwarned bread (was not fresh) w no olive oil at an old school Italian restaurant. I asked for an appetizer of spaghetti and was charged for a full meal. The eggplant parm was excellent. My veal chop was ok a little tough but too rare inside. It was my first time back in over 5yrs and it will unfortunately be my last.

While the food and service were good enough our piccata was served with no capers, the bread was stale and our waiter never asked if we wanted anything to drink. Despite making a reservation way in advance we were seated at a weird table with a draft. Not a spot I feel the need to return to.
