Good food and atmosphere. Didn't like how tight the seating was where we were sitting.
was glad to find a restaurant in that area that wasn’t BYOB. Food was good, service excellent.
Had an early dinner visiting my daughter at school. Had a reservation were seated promptly by hostess. Waiter was very attentive we ordered salad, pizza, and pasta. Food was delicious. Recommend the winter mule excellent.
Very nice staff. Quick service.
It was a busy Saturday night, and everyone in my party (myself included) was running late for the reservation. The staff was very accommodating. The food was great as usual, and our waitress was delightful. I will definitely come back.
the food was amazing, the pizza was so good! we had a great time the staff was excellent as well
We loved the food! Our server was Laura; she was great!
The service always stinks here but the food is really good.
Good place for casual dinner. Food is ok and service is friendly.
Went here on a snowy Saturday night with my family. Food was good. Will be back.
We like Pietro’s all the time. The food and service are generally very good. This time the waiter was especially attentive and courteous.
Pietro's is a good value if your group likes the same things -- huge portions, good sharing options. But if your group is small or wants to order separately, it gets pricey very fast.
They have a great lunch menu. Good service.
The food was excellent! Our waiter was very attentive and professional. Atmosphere was wonderful. Loved Pietro's and will definitely go back.
Great food. Great service.
Food here is always good, a bit expensive for pizza. Service a bit on the slow side, but not unreasonable for a Friday night.
Great way to celebrate a special birthday with a group of friends!
Such a great place to catch up with family and share meals. Food was delicious and the staff was outstanding! The gluten free pasta was great too!
We gathered after the Eagles parade and had a great time. We had a large group and they handled us perfectly.
Made a reservation. Checked in with the hostess a good 45 Min before and sat at the bar.
Come time for our reservation I checked in again and they said “we’re waiting for some tables to clear”. Went back to the bar. Then ten minutes later my cousin checked with them again and they told her “sorry you never checked in you missed your reservation”.
After going back up there myself - they told me we had to wait for more tables to open again and that “other people made reservations before [you] [us] so they get priority seating” even though it’s a half hour past our reservation time because we booked an open slot on open table (meaning someone canceled but they were still equipped to cater to a table of 4).
I explained to them that that’s not how reservations work.
Almost walked out if it weren’t for the bartender we had who convinced us to stay because she’d take good care of us. She was awesome. Other than her and the other bartender though - poor customer service. Food was good.
I had to go here for a business dinner. It is not someplace I would have chosen. I can't eat cheese or aged meats, and that left scant choice on the menu.
We had a fantastic meal here on a very busy Saturday night. We had appetizers, pizza, and salad and our wait time was incredibly short to be served our food. One of the guests in our party has very severe food allergies. Dave and our server took great care of us and made sure there was no cross contamination with our pizzas! It was a great evening for all of us!
Very Very noisy
Great ambiance and service. Create your own pizza is not the best choice considering the pizza was flat and burnt. Had the specialty pizza and it was a better choice.
Picked off Trip Advisor and it was a great Choi e. Rated high and lots of positive feedback!
Enjoyed trying this restaurant. Great food, great location!
This is second time I’ve been there and it is by far my favorite restaurant. I leave in a different state but will eat there everyone I’m in Philly.
I was thrilled I choose Pietro's Coal Oven Pizza for a dinner with my three granddaughters - ages 7 to 12. We were served quickly - which is a must with children - but at the same time didn't feel rushed. They loved the pizza and I loved the Chicken Limone. We will be back.
Calamari was not great. To dry w too much heavy breading. Everything else was good but food came out to quickly to enjoy each dish.
6 people at a table that could’ve held 12 comfortably. Rushed through the entire meal. The food is average at best. Seems like a tourist trap
Meet a dear grade school friend. Lovely time. Thank you.
Good pizza. Decent service. But felt a bit pricey for what u got.
We came here on New Years Eve with a large group and had a great time. We shared two delicious pizzas and got small plates and entrees to share. I loved the Pietro's and Picante pizza. We also enjoyed the Arugula salad, burrata and meatballs!
enjoyed our meal enormously. My son got brick oven pizza. My husband lasagna and i got the chicken parm All very good. The atmosphere was fabulous. Also a good place to go and sit at the bar which i will try next time. Our waiter was very friendly and provided great service. Will definately be going again.
Pietro's Coal Oven Pizza is a local neighborhood (Rittenhouse Square) favorite. The restaurant serves traditional Italian food - pastas, pizzas, meat and fish dishes) - large portions, (single and family size) delicious food, and has reasonable pricing. Nothing creative here - just good old fashioned Italian food. The restaurant is usually crowded. The servers are always friendly, professional, and efficient, despite the hectic pace of the restaurant. One word of caution, as if the restaurant is crowded, it will be noisy. My only complaint about Pietro's is the noise level. It is very difficult to carry on a conversation in the restaurant. It is not the best choice for intimate dining. However, that being said, if you enjoy delicious traditional Italian food, hang with some friends, and pay a decent price for a meal, Pietro's Coal Oven Pizza on Walnut Street is your place.
Great place for families. Good food and casual.
The server was very attentive and most personable. Drawback at least in our area was a party with several children who were allowed to run around undisciplined. Not the fault of the restaurant but rather the parents who think everyone should tolerate their children’s behavior. Yet the restaurant promotes as family friendly establishment.
Service was not great.
The food was excellent. Pepperoni and meatball pizza, margarita pizza, penne ala vodka, spaghetti and meatballs, Caesar salad and kale salad. We were 10 people and ordered too much food. My only complaint is I wished the waitress guided us better and told us how big the Family style meals were. The food is always very good and the prices very reasonable.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere! We were not disappointed. Four Cheese and Roma pizzas were delicious. Family style Caesar Salad and Chicken Parmesan (also delicious) served our party of 7, including seconds! We will return and recommend!
