Mushroom Truffle Pizza
The good: Service was very friendly, but slow. Drinks were generous. Food was delicious. The bruschetta, baked Camembert and Turkish meatballs were favorites. Room was cute, cozy. A nice place for a date or an evening with friends.
The not-so-good: The AC was barely working and it was a super hot night. Apparently, their dishwasher didn’t show up because there were ever-growing piles of dirty dishes at the kitchen window next to our table. The selection of pâtés and several other items shown on their online menu was not available.
I would definitely try again, on a cooler evening.
The mojito needs work! I'm sure there was enough alcohol in it,
but it needed much more mint, sugar, and I'm not sure they even used rum (?)
The Mushroom Truffle pizza is OUTSTANDING!!! But, it says $13 on the website,
and then we were charged $17 (!) The service is wonderful.
- The Panini, uncooked and not toasted, just go pick one up at Starbucks next time
- The Pizza, Digorno’s lesser know younger brother, pepperonis less spicy than whole milk
- The Red Pepper Pita, fire, good job.
- The Bruschetta, top notch but no one goes to dinner in 3s
We wanted a relatively quiet place to enjoy a reunion with out of town friends. Pierre Loti offers an intimate, inviting atmosphere with terrific food and service. We will definitely return.
This is a great place for a glass of wine and a light bite. The staff is really terrific and always very friendly and helpful. The outdoor covered patio is off the street - so no car traffic to deal with.
Just not good - pita stale, service slow, food mediocre, more of a bar than a dining destination.
This was the perfect spot for drinks and pre-theatre bites. The service was attentive, the outdoor seating charming and comfortable and the food and drinks were of great quality and value. The indoor area looks like a wonderful spot for a post-theatre drink or meal or a cozy winter interlude.
Love the ambiance of this place. Made me forget I was in NYC!
Showed up and they didn’t have my reservation anywhere even though I confirmed. No table. Embarrassing to show up on a date and have this problem and annoying to not have them do anything about it.
Great date spot. Delicious wine, although would have preferred to know who the maker was, all they had was country and grape, nothing else. Food was good, not outstanding, but perfectly fine. I'd come back again.
Very easy to reserve a table and good seating options indoor and outdoor
The menu was not what they advertised on their website, had fewer options than they listed which was disappointing
Went with a group of three friends and we split two bottles of wine and ordered the baked Camembert, the bruschetta, the beet salad, and a few cheeses to share. Everything was pretty good and the heat lamps kept us from getting too cold. I wish our server could describe the wines a little bit better when we asked for his advice.
Loved this restaurant. The heaters kept us warm enough while we dined. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were fantastic. Wonderful service too! Will be back.
We dined indoors; there was only one other couple in the interior of the restaurant. Many diners were seated outdoors. The mulled wine was very sweet - the server did their best to help us make it less sweet, but alas it remained saccharine and unpalatable. The bruschetta were loaded and a good deal in terms of volume.
Drinks took a long time to get out, over priced, and server has an abysmal attitude.
Cute wine bar ambiance but would definitely benefit from a more extensive wine list. Food is quite alright but nothing to write home about, per se. Cozy spot to catch up with a friend over a drink but perhaps not a dinner destination
I had a great dining experience at Pierre Loti Union Square. They currently have a nice selection of tables both inside and outside. I chose to sit indoors - as the room is so beautiful. I started with two of the spreads - the classic hummus plus the red pepper version. Both were amazing. I then had the salmon served over salad - it was a generous portion and the fish was cooked to perfection. I finished with the chocolate plate, and my server even made me a cup of black tea. The prices were most reasonable and the service was outstanding.
A wonderful little wine bar with excellent wine and food.
It typically has an outdoor area which has now been vastly expanded due to covid outdoor dining.
Great outdoor dining set up on Irving Place. Highly recommend the mushroom truffle pizza. Nicely spaced tables and just a great ambience.
Too crowded and loud. Couldn't even speak during dinner.
Such a lovely place! With lovely staff. I had a get together for my partner and was so impressed with the service, ambience, and vibe. We had a blast. The cheeses were incredible - and I highly recommend the espresso martini. Amazing! Will be back!!
This is a good, inexpensive place to meet up in the neighborhood. Nothing fancy, but the wine list is good and the staff is very nice. I went in early September, but it has a cozy feel that would be great in winter.
I would recommend Pierre Loti for after-work drinks or a meal. The Truffle Mushroom pizza that I ordered was burnt, but luckily it tasted good as long as I didn't eat the crust. The kale salad that my friend had was filling and a well portioned sized salad. They have a vast wine selection and outdoor seating making it a cute neighborhood gem. The service was a bit slow, but otherwise, it was a good quality night.
Great option for drinks and bites to eat, reasonably priced wine with indoor and outdoor seating. It's a straightforward and reliably consistent spot.
Go early. It is very noisy after 6 pm
Food is good and service is accommodating
Great wine bar near Union Square. Great for a date or drinks with friends. They have a light menu.
Nice place. I came back and will go again
Had lunch with a mentor I had not seen in over a year. We sat outside and were able to catch up while enjoying a delicious meal. My friend had the menemen and manti and said it reminded her of her trip to Turkey. I had the caprese salad and mushroom truffle ravioli and would have it again. Cannot wait to go back. The server was super attentive and helpful.
They clearly did not reserve a 2-person table for me, as requested. But we ended up in the center of the room at a big wine barrel table that is probably meant for standing or larger groups. So, all good!
food was good, but too noisy. Service was efficient, and they tried to give us a quieter table (so we could hear each other) but it's too small a place to get away from other loud customers.
I’ve been here before and have always enjoyed it. Went in last night and ordered a big charcuterie plate to start. Unfortunately half way through my boyfriend didn’t feel well so we asked to have it wrapped up and for the check. When we got home, I noticed they didn’t include the pita or the bread, just the meats and cheeses. Extremely disappointed bc that’s part of the meal I paid for and we also now had nothing to eat the meat and cheese with!
The wait staff was lovely and my friends and I enjoyed delicious food and the wonderful wine recommendations. Would absolutely recommend and will be back again!
Very very very loud.
Convenient location, good selection of wine.
A groups of us went there. We made a reservation and were told they could not honor it despite it being available on Open Table. They then sat us outside in a split group. It was not warm in the space, the food was okay, the service was inconsistent, and the price was much too high for the experience.
Wine list looked good on paper. We ended up going the Whiskey route though, and although the classic 12 yr's and blends were there, they didn't have many good options outside of that. We didn't try the cheese, but the food we got was medicore at best. Do not try the pizza lol.
This was our first time at this restaurant, which by 5 PM was really hopping with young adults. It specializes in world wine selections. And has many options in various price ranges by glass or bottle. The food is a mix of Mediterranean and Turkish flavors. While food menu is somewhat limited it has a couple of dishes that would satisfy most interests. You can get pizza or an entree or everything in between. My friend ordered a very tasty beet salad as well as a veal meatball entree with potatoes, which included another salad. I ordered a trio of bruschetta that would have bee a meal for lunch. The fig, walnut, honey, and cheese one was particularly wonderful. The ravioli was very light and flavorful. Turkish flavors were particularly noticeable in the meat and the mushroom bruschetta. The waiter seemed a little overwhelmed by the crowd.
I didn't have food...not sure why I'd rate what I didn't have...
