I took a neighborhood college student to lunch before she returns to school. The staff was friendly, the food had good flavor and the patio was nice on a 70 and sunny afternoon. That said, the waiter disappeared between drink refills, the meatball sandwich could not be picked up and eaten, had to use a knife and fork. Pricing was slightly on the high side. A three star review is a fair and average review based on this one experience.

Reasonably priced. You get more than enough food. Good Pizza's; wonderful caesar salad. Great choice of appetizers. Fun Atmosphere.

We had a late lunch at Piero Pizzavino - they portray their pizza as authentic Neapolitan - Although the pizza sandwich "bread" is clearly Neapolitan crust, the pizza crust is thicker and doesn't seem to jibe with the claim they make. The food was excellent, however. Service was good. The waiter, however, packed up only the arugula leftover for my son, and not the crusts he left, which he DID want. We would come here again just for the pizza or generous pizza sandwiches.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend and we loved it. Lovely comfortable decor, friendly staff, GREAT food. Portions are ample, so plan on ordering desert to go. I enjoyed the Cheese Tortellini with mushrooms and walnuts. The pasta was perfectly prepared and the sauce was a great balance between rich and flavorful, yet not heavy. I enjoyed a nice glass of Prosecco with my meal which was also delicious. My companions enjoyed baked ziti, the pollo sandwich and an arugula salad. They both enjoyed theirs completely. I was thrilled to see my favorite wine from my favorite city in Italy, Orvietto Classico. I would have ordered a glass, but it came only by the bottle, which I understand completely.

Only one drawback to the meal, was the temperature in the restaurant was quite warm. It was a sunny day that warmed up quickly and I noticed the staff was actively working to draw the shades. I'm sure this was resolved quickly.

We had an Open Table reservation and were seated immediately, although we arrived 15 minutes early and there were many people waiting for tables. We were very surprised and appreciative of the prompt seating. The service throughout was efficient and friendly. We just split a salad and a pizza - that pizza was perfection! People around us had delicious looking pasta - I’ll definitely be back, but I may never get to the pasta because the pizza is just too good!!! The restaurant was packed and very noisy - a little difficult to carry on a conversation, but hey, we’re there to eat! We can talk later...

Love this place! Awesome authentic pizza. Love the pasta dishes too. Really good casual Italian dining. You could find a place like this in Naples and do no better. A go to place for us.

Everyone's food was terrific. Pizza look quite good but I had white fish. Yum. Pizza next time. It was crowded and we were seated in the back room, which was quite loud. The lighting above the tables is waayyyyy to bright at some of the tables - felt like an interrogation setting. We opted to move to another table where the lights above were not so focused on the table. Much better! We will come back.

Best for authentic Italian style pizza. Other dishes were very good. I had the chicken piccata and it was excellent. The salmon dish is very good but do not get salmon on pizza unless you like lox on your pizza. They have very good desserts.

We went to this restaurant for my husband's birthday which was not recognized. Even though we had reservations our table was not ready and we were given another table after waiting for fifteen minutes. The restaurant was very busy and crowded and has no real seating area to wait which made it difficult for my husband who is handicapped and can't stand for long periods of time. The food I must say was very good and came out promptly and hot. Since it was very crowded, it was very very noisy and hard to have conversations without shouting at each other. I am not sure I would go back after this last visit.

Wow.... just came home.. meal was great, table was horrible.. first they sat me outside.. too cold .. ask to be reseated inside.. at a tiny table.. and not busy... REALLY
THEN GOT HOME And I GET A MESSAGE FROM OPEN TSBLE SAYING I DID NOT SHOW UP. Yes we did...
You know with all of the restaurants in this area they should be thanking me for spending $15o on dinner for two in a small table with not so great service....
DONE... hope u go out of business

Small Spinach Salad - tasty and there was more than expected for a small salad.

Eggplant Parmesan - large portion that was very nicely prepared, served and tasty.

Lobster and Shrimp Ravioli - six approximately 1.5 inch square ravioli that was in a very nice sauce. Lobster tasted better than the shrimp.

Lucked out - it was the last night of 50% of a bottle of wine promotion...a very nice surprise!

I love going to Piero's Pizzavino every time I am in Palm Desert. It's become a tradition to dine there during our annual shopping trip on the El Paseo. The brussel sprouts are divine (I hold the sauce) and the pizza and salads are great.

Here is my one beef: the minestrone is a watery broth with vegetables... no beans, no pasta. Also, we were offered NO bread with the soup. I hope they think about changing their minestrone recipe and make it a more traditional vs a watery-vegetable soup. And I hope they will serve bread with it. We got so busy that we forgot to ask.

Staff was very attentive and we felt like valued customers. We will return again.
