Great service, beautiful food, cannot fault. Keep coming back
A comfortable, friendly and welcoming atmosphere and staff are terrific. Fish and chip platter is always absolutely
had our first visit to pier st and had the seafood platter service was good and the food was nice but a little room for improvement , would go back again
good venue, breakfast menu good selection, good service from staff.
Nice eatery, food was very nice, lighting was a bit dark - had to use my phone torch to read the menu! Could have been warmer on a cold evening noted by guests leaving their jackets on. Overall l would return but slightly dear if you aren’t even warm enough!! Lol staff were great, will return in the summer…
Great atmosphere, food and service. Children Mede welcome.
Really awesome food. Will definitely come back and have some more of this great seafood.
Great restaurant, friendly helpful staff. Our table was near the door, so every time the door was opened a cold wind blew through which was a bit annoying. Probably could be avoided by putting up a stand alone screen to protect people from the draft through an opened door.
Food was excellent overall we had a good experience.
Great location, service was very good with helpful and attentive staff.
Breakfast menu was a little different but interesting choices. Very accomodating as we had a 4 year old with us who was a little fussy with food.
It was a lovely evening delightful meal and wait staff were very pleasant.
Difficult though to hear conversation. Maybe some rugs to absorb noise?
Thanks for a very enjoyable evening
A lovely restaurant. Warm and welcoming to me and my husband and three grand kids under 8. Food was very good. The food took quite a while to come and was staggered. Although the kids came first which was good. Just a small point out. Overall great.
The food was fabulous but the service was exceptionally slow for our Sunday brunch. However, the staff were apologetic.
Very poor service forgot the drink order completely.
Front door bangs so loudly the glass will break soon.
Very very noisy.
Great little spot. Local food cooked freshly at very reasonable prices.
The lower rating for ambience was that on the day we ate there it was a grey wet day and the light summery ambience (which would be great in summer) felt a little bit bleak.
The service was efficient, warm and friendly. discreet.
The fish was fresh and melted in my mouth. The only problem was where we were seated made me feel vulnerable to people walking in and out of the door given Covid is still an issue. People were literally standing behind me.
Easy to book with app. Service was great so was the food. Nice location as well.
Thoroughly enjoy the food & service, just a bit noisy but overall, we love Pier Street
We had an excellent time at Pier Street. A big thank you to the Lady that looked after us, she was brilliant and made the experience for us very enjoyable.
I wish I had taken notice of her name,
Thank you 😋
A bright, vibrant cafe with pleasant views across the water and Portarlington pier. The seafood platter was huge for the two of us. Crunchy batter and juicy fish, prawns, calamari and mussels. Friendly and helpful waitress. Recommended!
Great view looking towards the ferry, simple and delicious food, excellent service, friendly staff, value for money.
I will go back. The food was amazing. The staff were terrific. I thoroughly
The food is amazing can’t fault anything about the place
If fishing for fish to eat - best fish here. The basket is for sharing and every morsel is a taste treat
Our visit was for breakfast, which was really nice. Food good, service good & good value for money. The only thing that distracts from being excellent is the extent of flies buzzing about the table & dead ones in the window.
This cafe is certainly value for money with quality thrown in for a good measure. We had breakfast here on Mother's Day and couldn't have asked for (a) better service, (b) better food and (c) better ambience. All were top notch. But if you're going to eat here, bring a hearty appetite for the serves are quite large.
Lamb dish was appalling. Calamari salad was like eating refried stale seafood.
Service was appalling. Very disappointed.
Wednesday steak night is the best value feed in town. Location to die for. Food is a1 comes as ordered. Waiter serving our wine was excellent made us feel special.
We have been before and enjoyed it.
This time the meals were not good, and we sent one back. Maybe Monday is not the best day to go.
Was recommended by a friend and the food was absolutely delicious. Dad said they were the best mussels he’s ever had
Everything was great food, wine, service, decor, setting - but could have done with a bit more light and without the 80s pop music. The music choice didn't fit and was a bit intrusive. Lighting to read menus by would help too - we had to use our phone torches.
Every dish, every visit to Pier Street is delicious! Lovely to sit outside as the sun goes down. A professionally run restaurant with great staff.
So good best food iv had in Portarlington since I moved to Bellarine peninsula..
Good atmosphere awesome food good service..
Simple seafood expertly cooked and presented. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Lovely place we enjoyed the experience and food was deligh we will be returning again very soon.
Food and service were both of exceptionally high quality. Our waiter was attentive without being over bearing. Our food was fresh, cooked to perfection an had wonderful flavours. Loved the Japanese influence.
The only downfall of our experience was that the restaurant was very noisy due to the concrete floor and the bookings of large tables in the inside area (both tables had over 8 people at them). Our table of 4 had to almost shout to hear each other. There was a lot of "pardon, what did you say?" during our conversations due to the large bookings in a rather small space.
We enjoyed our night and was so impressed when we were brought our complimentary entree during the mail course- The waitress had accidentally forgotten to put the order in and we were happy to go without, but were impressed when we were told they wanted us to try the entrees. The salt and pepper calamari was tender and Jenkins flake was lovely too.
Excellent value for price. Reasonably priced wine by the glass. Staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. A very pleasant night out to take interstate family!
Our steak was cooked perfectly, our salad was lovely but one of our friends asked for no onion in her salad so all she got was a baby cos lettuce on her plate, roots included. It looked disgusting and was very disappointing as the other 3 of us were happy. Also the staff were young and not attentive. We had to keep waving them over when we wanted something. When they came over they were lovely but weren’t going out of their way to tend customers. I hate giving negative feedback as we have been here many times and loved it. It was just our experience this night. We will be back🙂
Great venue, utilising the view and accessibility is all-ability I would say.
Another great cafe to visit!👍
Delicious food and great coffee served by very helpful and friendly staff.
