This is part of the Pier 39 Tourist Trap. I would not patronize any of the restaurants here. I was surprised that this restaurant, claiming to be a fish house, would not have more variety. The only scallops were dime sized deep fried. Nothing large or fresh there. There were other quirks. It is not the best for fresh seafood, that's for sure.
We ate at Pier 39 for my wife's birthday. Our waitress was very personable and very on top of our needs and paced the dinner perfectly. The dinners were excellent and value priced for the area. We had seafood and it was excellent.
Excellent food. Best ribs I've ever had in my life.
We had the whole Dungeness crab and the crab cakes. Both were delicious. Service was good and the pier 39 location provided great views and ambiance.
We made a reservation but decided to go earlier. Also asked for a window seat. They accommodated both very quickly! Seats by the window are the best. Good food and fun evening.
Went there while visiting San Francisco. Food was bland and tasteless. View was great, but that was about all.
Loved our server!!! Food was amazing. View was enchanting. Very happy with our choice.
First at this restaurant and it was an awesome experience! Great staff and food
Although a very touristy restaurant in the heart of Pier 39, the food and service were both very good.
We ate here on the outside patio in the evening and it was wonderful. The drinks very good, and the food delicious. We made reservations and were sat immediately, and felt relaxed to just enjoy our meal and drinks...no rush to move on to get others in.
Good flavor, quick service.
The Lobster was small
Great view, great food
The service here was almost non-existent. Other than acknowleging our reservation with a table near the window the hostess did not crack a smile or greet anyone in a warm manner. Our waitress did not refill drinks or stop by other than to take our order. The sweet and sour calamari was tasty my cioppino was not it was flavorless and I hardly touched it as did my mom hardly touch her food but the waitress did not ask why 90% of our food was still on our plate. We paid the bill and left. Will not return or recommend.
CALAMARI WAS NOT GOOD LIKE IT WAS MADE HOURS EARLIER
We were meeting out of town friends. I asked for the quietest table possible with a view if possible. THAT didn't happen, but I was quite pleased with the food quality, given that we were on Pier 39. The swordfish was terrific. Our guests all seemed happy with their food. Was just sorry not to get a view for our friends who live in Arizona.
Garlic Roasted Whole Dungeness Crab
Bread BowlにはいったCLAM CHOWDER
Average food. Exceptionally poor service. Forgot to bring several items. Brought the check without being asked.
I went to Pier Market Seafood with a friend from out of town. We had the crab cake dinner, jambalaya and seafood penne pasta. We also had the fried scallops and garlic bread for appetizers. I would not recommend getting either the fried scallops or garlic bread, but we all enjoyed our entrees.
It was our first night in San Francisco and we were looking forward to dinner at a Fisherman's Wharf restaurant. We expected more based on the good reviews we read online. The food was good but nothing to write home about. Although the restaurant wasn't full, it was quite loud!
Well received from start to finish. Great linguine and clams, as well as the crab appetizers. Reservation was taken care of quickly and in a quiet, on the water, spot. On the busy pier, but worth it!
Right on the waterfront. Superb sea food. Excellent and friendly service.
The reason ed food was a little over cooked and no flavor.
I find the place accessible, in an area with other stores and restaurants, good walking after the meal. Food price was reasonable too.
Good food , good service, middle of pier, so not all that scenic, and really really loud!
Food was delicious and did not disappoint. Unfortunately server did not have much of a personality..
Great restaurant on the wharf. We got a table overlooking the pier, which was enjoyable. Seafood was excellent, especially dishes like the crisp scallops and the sole. Service a little slow. Worth a visit for sure.
Way too touristy for us & the food was mediocre. We each ordered mussels and a salad... salads were fine but the mussels were way over cooked... not a good evening!
It was in the tourist area so it was nothing special. We had a good waiter but that was about it. Food was good.
If you make reservations they will sit you in a quieter area with a great view. Walk ups waited 15-20 min for outside patio along the walk way.
We made a reservation, but still waiting for more than 20 minutes, service is okay, foods was not that good, it's not worth the money that we expensed.
fantastic crispy scallops!!!!! best ever!! Had also the sole which was superb. My wife had the cran Louis and it was also fantastic. Great service and reasonably priced. Could eat there several times!!
The food was good but not great. The fish was very fresh, but the vegetables were overcooked. The bread was a nice touch, but we had to ask for it. Our server was excellent.
Great experience ! Food was top shelf and service was prompt and friendly. Definitely recommended!
Revisiting this renowned grilled seafood place again because of the great impression I had last time. The grilled scallops were crispy and golden brown - certainly great as an appetizer. The mixed grill portions were generous as ever - the salmon was a bit dry though the shrimps were fresh. The added lobster side was fleshy. The angus steak was slightly tough despite it was prepared medium rare. Again we were full to the brim so desserts were foregone. The server was attentive and friendly. This amounted to 90.97 (excluding gratuity) for an overall satisfying dinner.
This renowned seafood restaurant at pier 39 had free wifi for guests - very thoughtful; server made helpful suggestions to help save food and suit diner's budget; the seafood platter was huge - the added lobster side was great value for money, the calamari rings were a bit heavily breaded, the breaded shrimps were fresh, the breaded fish and chips were quite acceptable at this price. Portions were too generous for desserts, so settled for an Irish coffee. That amounted to $48.93 (service not included) - which really explained this place's popularity as the view, the food and the service made this a unique dining experience.
Very good choice on Pier 39. Ate here twice during a week in SF. Both times our entree's were excellent, as was dessert and beverages.
Good location but inside restaurant was Too noisy and hot. Food was ok.
I had not been to Pier 39 in years. In fact, I was looking for Dante's Seafood Catch but it no longer was there but Pier Market Seafood was an excellent replacement. I dined with a business colleague and we both loved the clan chowder in a bread bowl and mixed seafood grill - the swordfish was excellent.
The dunggeness crab was awesome...swordfish also great. Will definitley return.
Excellent speedy service, very diverse menu, good food at a reasonable price.
