The place is nice close to the water but the menu is very poor. We went with the idea of having fish but the only one in the menu was salmon. We also had clam chowder soup and didn’t look or taste like the real one… We also tried the octopus plate and it was tasteless and hard… Nice service but poor menu and food quality…

Pier 701 is always a treat! With the terrific deck overlooking the Hudson and Cuomo Bridge, it’s very relaxing. Our server, Miguel, was amazing! He’s very professional, friendly and welcoming! The menu is varied and something for everyone. Thanks to the kitchen for always preparing delicious food!!

LOved the spectacular view. Service was a bit slow but our server went out of his way to check on us-I think they were just short-staffed.

I went Friday night of Labor Day weekendfor an 8PM reservation. The outdoor component of the restaurant was really nice. The service slow.(drinks took forever to come out and then were way too sweet). Then they were all out of 3 of the specials by 8PM. Charged us $4 for bread. My wife settled on a hamburger which was a standard patty grilled with fries that were under fried. My main was this Korean bbq short ribs over a vegetable fried rice. The short ribs were tender, the “fried rice” was mushy risotto it seemed. I think this place has a ton of potential. Chef needs to step up his game and the staff while all nice needed to pick up their concentration on the customers.

It's a 5star view and setup, but the bees were out of control. Lantern flies as well but they are less bothersome. We couldn't enjoy the lovely night out because several bees were constantly coming to drinks and food once it was out. Was a problem for everyone sitting outside unfortunately. Wings were great and other food was pretty good.

Great view, drinks and food. The weather was perfect. If you’re allergic to bees I would avoid this place. They are having a yellow jacket problem. I was busy swatting. Maybe go after sundown when they bees go to bed for the night. Luau is nice too.
