Fabulous in every way possible!! Outstanding service and excellent food and cocktails!! Aesthetically beautiful and pleasing with stunning views of the bay. Probably one of the best dining experiences ever. Ask for Heather. She is an outstanding server! We will definitely be back!
First time in this place and me and my fiancé we had a good time we liked it…
Loved everything! My only complaint would be the flies and mats inside
Food was slow to come to table and crab cakes average. The Seafood Fondue was served with a loaf of soft gooey bread. Very surprised it was not served the some crusty toasted bread slices.
Good service, good food, noise level was unacceptable. It would have been a much nicer experience dining if we could have heard ourselves talk.
Great food! Great atmosphere! Great service! Highly recommend!
The service was slow and sub-par. It seems as if there are a lot of college kids working and ours certainly was not enthusiastic. The raw oysters were amazing. The best I’ve ever had. The red snapper on top of etouffee did not meet expectations. The snapper was delicious, but it was served on top of a minuscule amount of etouffee. I seriously had to lift up the fish the see the etouffee. It was also to be served with arugula ( which I love). Instead it had celery leaves.
We had some cooked oysters - Rockerfeller and crab stuffed. The Rockefeller was not traditional so we didn’t enjoy it as much. The crab-topped was delicious.
The desserts are expensive $9; we had key lime pie and it was not great. Tasted like it had been sitting for a while. O
We had requested a high top table on Open Table. We did not get one. This is the second time a certain table was requested and was ignored.
Fun place with great view and fresh seafood. Oysters are consistent size and worth the drive from Katy
We had a great lunch yesterday. My dozen of raw oysters were very fresh with good flavor. The tide to fried dish was shared with my wife. The fish was carefully fried with a light batter for the shrimp and oysters. The potato crusted snapper was also very good along with the fries and coleslaw. The service was very attentive, friendly and the prices seemed very reasonable. We will definitely be back even if we have to drive out from the Montrose area.
The red fish dip was outstanding. Husband had the akaushi burger which was also most tasty! I had the oyster tacos which could have been really good if the oysters had been hot and the corn tacos had not been tough. Ocean Water drink was very good, but for the price, size was a little on the small side.
Lacey was a wonderful waitress. Oysters and flights were delicious. Highly recommended!
The ambience is wonderful. But service is extremely slow and while the food is okay, it is overpriced. Wayyyyyyyy OVERPRICED!!!! The majority of the items on the menu are ala carte which adds up fast.
The "pitcher" of mimosa is served in a glass juice container for $30 with plastic cups. Are you kidding ?? This is crazy. At this price, I should have a glass champagne flute and the champagne bottle. Ordered one egg scrambled. Came in a small snack dish which appeared to be half an egg--- two servings of this was $8.99
We waited 40 minutes for our lunch to be served. The table next to us ordered just before we did. They were served, ate and left before ours was brought out!
This was a fabulous experience. Having once been a member of the tiny San Leon Sailing Club located at this very spot, my husband and our friend who once sailed out of here together had great fun reminiscing, and all of us enjoyed the incredible oysters and other menu items. The ambiance was terrific, the service amazing, and the prices reasonable for the high quality of it all. This was a reunion visit with our friends who live on Omega Bay. We live in Little Rock, AR.
Ashley was great! Exceptional service.
Loved this place. From the frozen cocktails to the ribeye steak...food was sooo good, atmosphere is trendy. will be back!!!!
This was our first visit to this restaurant, celebrating me wife's 62nd birthday. The section in which we were eventually seated, was extremely crowded and very noisy (middle covered section). The oysters on the half shell were superb, but the entrees were mediocre, not meeting our expectations. The staff, while friendly, seemed hurried and ill prepared. They are obviously in need of additional training and managerial attention. When and if we revisit Pier 6, we will request the outdoor seating. The summer heat would be easier to tolerate than the excessive noise of the indoor section in which we were seated. All in all, the restaurant appears to be well constructed and in a great location but is in need of polishing.
Absolutely love this restaurant! My boyfriend and I attended for our first time on a much needed date night! We loved it so much we reserved a table for our parents to meet a few weeks later. Huge fans, we will be frequenting often.
The mixed drinks, fresh oysters, fish dip with crackers, service, music, bay view and happy/fun energy were all outstanding. The entrees (crab cakes, fried oyster tacos) were good but not great. Will definitely go back, but won’t order any fried entrees next time.
Great food. Definitely will be back. A little noisy in restaurant with the music.
Drink were overpriced and lacked the amount alcohol for the price. They could have given us doubles
We had a great server and delicious food. We loved sitting outside!
Extraordinary food and amazing service! We enjoyed the watermelon salad, tempura shrimp, and of course oysters prepared different ways! The wagyu steak and egg was well worth it.. the price at the restaurant less than listed on the website. Wonderful view of Galveston Bay.
The food was very good and the ambience was great. The only issue is was that it was very hot on the inside part. We were in the last booth and we saw the thermostat was at 76. Other than that no complaints. We will definitely be back.
Awesome new place to try, everything about it was great!
Great food and service. I just have to remember to get reservations ahead of time.
Also great view. Love this restaurant.
Nice table, nice view of the bay. Enjoyed the crispy deviled eggs and stuffed crab fingers for appetizers!
This was my third time to Pier 6. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is casual. I really like the fact that you have a nice view of Galveston Bay, while enjoying your food.
Was a great experience…drinks were great and oysters/fish dip were phenomenal! If only I could take it all home with me to have again!!
Mattie was friendly and nice but not as attentive as she should have been. I rapidly asked her for more water. A manager brought it to me quickly when asked. The Frozen Flight drinks were slow to arrive and partially melted when delivered. They had obviously been sitting. The food was good but not outstanding. Overall I felt wanting for a better experience.
Always excellent food & relaxing vibes! I love it !
We drove 1 1/2 hours one way to dine here. Celebrated our 32nd anniversary. Ordered seafood fondue and oysters as appetizers and fried fish & shrimp entree to share. Everything arrived at the same time. Sent back entree as we wanted to enjoy our appetizers first. Apparently that was a HUGE mistake. Told our waitress we sent it back and when we wanted our entree, we had to ask her for it and told her to make sure it was not the same plate. She replied "of course". When she arrived with it, we again asked if it was freshly made and she said she 'watched the chef make it'
". She walked away to get us hot sauce. The fish was cold, the fries were cold & limp, the cold slaw was warm on top and the tarter sauce was congealed on top. It was the same fried platter now 30 plus minutes OLD. When waitress walked back by, not to check on us, we got her attention and told her the kitchen lied to her as this was not a fresh plate. She said she would take are of it. 15 minutes go by. We wave her down, she goes to check on it and returns to tell us the manager is taking care of it. At 25 minutes after we have returned the entree, my husband gets up to go find a manager who suddenly appears to talk to us. She starts with trying to explain to us how they were backed up as the wifi went down and that our order takes long to cook. She apologized and said she would take care of our desert. We wanted our entree, not desert. We said we wanted our check as we were no longer interested in eating there. Check arrived with double entree orders on it which shows the waitress put in a second order instead of just making the kitchen fix the cold plate. She also didn't handle the order so that appetizers come before the entree. Ended up 10 minutes later at TBone Toms who had our food at the table under 4 minutes because we were starving. Do not go to Pier 6 if you want good service or hot food. It's a BIG never again for us.
I had Tide Fried and it was all delicious. The Snapper was outstanding. My wife had the Snapper grilled and it was great. Drinks were nice and we all had a real special time. We'll be back for sure.
We came as a birthday celebration and couldn’t have asked for better. Wine bottles ended up being half off so that was a major win! Everything I tried just getting better and better with each bite. Our server Paris was the best we had in a long time. We had the premier oysters, seafood fondue, shrimp, red snapper and s’mores mousse. The view was incredible. It was super packed but It wasn’t overcrowded. The only issue was it was soooo hot, to the point where I was sweating the entire meal. Thankfully our server kept the water full so it wasn’t too uncomfortable
My husband’s bday we invited two couples to join on a weeknight. Glad they use Open Table, so we had no waiting. 25 minutes after sitting waitress asks us about appetizers, only to point out we missed hh prices for aps. by 5 min. Nice.
A fly gave us all the attention, too noisy, and though i did enjoy my bloody mary and blue crab oysters, best bites were those and brussel sprouts. Fried food was over cooked,
If you can go and sit on the patio when heat is not crazy, best of choices there. Drinks and apps are good. Waitress had zero smiling capabolity, place was covered up though, even on Wed.
The food, atmosphere, and drinks were fantastic for celebrating our 42nd Anniversary! Unfortunately, we were late for our reservation, but they still were able to accommodate our request for a nice view. The restaurant was extremely crowded for 5:45 on a Wednesday! Wonderful place!
Be aware of the time. The menu changes between lunch, happy hour and dinner.
Never got waited on for food service.Went to the hostess after 15 and told her we have not been waited on.She said I’m sorry went back to the table and still no service.Went and found the manager.Told her we have been sitting here for 20 minutes and NO service. She offered us a glass of water while she see what’s the problem.(I guess that is what she was going to do?) I said no thanks. Times up and left for Top Water Grill. It should be mentioned that the table was dirty with bugs and hair. Not to return to Pier 6.
