   Wonderful Staff and service! I understand this is a hotel restaurant, however the food was mediocre for the price. I expected to pay more for the location, so that wasn’t the issue. The food should have been better. Do not get the lobster tail or ask to see them first. I felt like a glass of wine or dessert should have been given complimentary. Management has reached out after the fact. The Scallops were delicious. My mom and I were celebrating her getting out of the house and the food was a let down. Kuddos to the terrific staff.

To clarify, what you ordered was actually our Lobster Thermidor Specialty which is covered in a Sherry Cream Sauce and Parmesan Panko Bread Crumbs. The description is in the menu so guests understand this is not a traditional lobster tail. However, if any of our guests would like traditional lobster tails with drawn butter , we are happy to make that happen! I'm sorry for any confusion!

   We literally got off our bus from the race and walked into the restaurant. It was refreshing, quiet and cool after a loud, exciting and people-filled race day. The service was outstanding! The FOOD was also really good- my only complaint was my oysters had lots of grit/ sand in them... so maybe a better wash next time? Otherwise, the lobster roll was DELICIOUS, wedge salad and calimari- all exceptional. Thank you for a nice wind-down from the day!

   This was only ok. It was basically like going to Red Lobster, but more expensive and there was nothing about it that would make me want to go back. The calamari was very chewy. The lobster roles used to be so much better, with a steamed bun and browned butter. Now the bread was grilled and oily and the drawn butter was tasteless. Too expensive for what we got.

   The service was fine, the food was okay. I asked for an Old Fashioned, the server asked what bourbon, looking at their choices I asked for Angels Envy. Mind you, we had been at Angels Envy in Louisville earlier in the day where a bottle is $55. The server came back to let me know that an Old Fashioned with Angels Envy is $50. Seems a bit odd. How bout Buffalo Trace? We’re out. Okay then, water. Nothing about this was a bad experience, but nothing was very good either.

    The first time we experienced Pier 48 it was awesome but, this experience was awful smh. We were ignored by our waitress and another waitress who wasn't our primary waitress was nice enough to tend to us. The food wasn't so great this go around either. Also, our primary waitress had the audacity to inquire about a tip with her horrible service once I asked for our bill smh.

    I booked our reservation to celebrate my fiancé for Valentine’s Day and your restaurant is one of his favorite places. Every time we come to Pier 48 we always try something new and we are never disappointed. The food was delicious, the service was amazing and he was happy. We will be back again!!

    Outstanding food, bucatini scallop dish was one of the best scallop dishes I’ve ever had. Shrimp appetizer also excellent. Attentive wait staff. Only issue was the parking. The parking garage did not honor the restaurant’s validation which would have reduced the fee to $5. We had to pay full price of $17 to park for two hours.

    Sometime you lower the bar in food quality when you ah e such a great location to a venue but Pier 48 did not diss appoint. The food and drinks were outstanding, something for everyone and great service.

    We had a great waitress and I can’t remember her name but she was funny and attentive. The lobster roll and lobster mac & cheese were perfect. My old fashion was great and I felt the bill was reasonable. Can’t wait to go back!

    Host appeared to hate her job and never smiled once or made us feel welcomed. Manager seemed over whelmed. Our server saved our experience. He was very nice and attentive. Food was mediocre at best

    The food and service was fine - we were placed adjacent to the bar and it was very loud and noisy. Also - due to a Pacer game - which clearly, we were not attending they decided to charge $ 60.00 plus tip for valet at the restaurant - not advertised and communicated as they were already moving the car. The sign stated $ 15.00 for valet - so the night started off with a bad taste in our mouths - I guess we can only go to Pier 48 when nothing else is going on downtown or we may get price gouged.

    Never got our meal after an hour and a half. Server didn’t even offer to comp any of our bill. Second time I’ve had bad dining experience here. Not looking at ever going back which is a shame due to its location and overall satisfying ambiance

    Went before a basketball game, and they had tables so close together the servers were having to try and squeeze around everyone. Just kind of awkward. Slow service - got glass of wine 20 mins after ordering it, server didn’t check back often. The food was pretty good. Although beware if you get the pepper tuna, it has a ton of pepper! Our kid was scrapping it off bc it was so overwhelming.

    It wasn’t horrible but definitely was not worth the price. For 4 people it was $250ish and while that’s not ridiculous, the price relative to the quality of the food made it seem egregiously overpriced. It’s fine if you want a lobster roll and a beer before a pacers game but I wouldn’t recommend it for a special event.

    We went there for the scallops, they are no longer on the menu and to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Service was slow, the waiter was new with no personality or familiarity with the menu. We arrived one hour after the Pacer game started on a Sunday night. Valet parking was $50 despite the valet lot half a block away being half empty! Parking cost in the attached garage was $30 despite it also offering multiple parking spots being available. Signage to the restaurant from the parking garage was non-existent. Overall a very disappointing experience at a restaurant we used to enjoy. We won’t be returning and will visit the Oceanier or McCormick & Schmidt’s the next time we visit downtown Indianapolis for seafood.

    Our reservation was at 5:45 pm. Seated promptly upon arrival. Took 45 minutes to get our drinks. Food order took place at the same time as drinks. After 1.5 hours with no food or explanation as to what was going on. Servers restaurant wide had disappeared. Finally called our server over, told us that she didn’t know what was going on but wasn’t her fault basically. We ended up leaving without eating. Very poor customer communication. We weren’t the only ones.

    Was very disappointed with service I did not get what I had ordered but accepted it because it had taken so long to get our food For a upscale seafood restaurant the menu is very lacking. Server made a big deal about the bar menu and after I loaded it on my phone as instructed and ordered a item he told me they didn’t have that item any longer and the menu wasn’t updated- will This was a place we liked to eat when downtown but will not return unless it changes back to being a top notch restaurant

    We came here prior to the Pacers game. We had no waitress/waiter until we flagged someone down. This employee was annoyed and short with us our entire dinning experience. Our food wasn’t good and I would not recommend to others to dine here.

    Service was a little slow to start, but was friendly and efficient after our initial exchange. Menu has been pared back a bit, but the quality of the food offered was outstanding. I had the bourbon glazed salmon with rice pilaf and steamed broccoli. My dining companion had the clam chowder & swordfish sandwich. We had a table outside on Georgia St. on a Friday night. Street traffic was WAY loud, so likely wouldn't choose that option on a weekend night. Overall a yummy experience!
