We made a reservation for outdoor seating. Arrived and were seated inside. We asked about our outdoor table, the hostess apologized and said a table had paid and was leaving shortly they would move us. 20 mins later we were never offered, water or given an update. I approached the hostess for an update and the attitude was fierce. They were having a wedding and it was hectic, not their problem. If I didn't want to sit at the table without water, I could have waited outside or in the lobby. We ate at the table we were originally seated at after 30 mins of being ignored. Bartender was our waitress and she was the only good experience with staff we had.
Wait staff exceeded our expectations. No pre portioned, Sysco crap here. Best french fries in town. Made fresh daily.
We had late lunch on Thursday, was a nice day & food & drinks were good!!
Highly recomend this Pier 22 ,to All!!
Great restaurant right on the river. Socially distanced
Server “Aaron” was fantastic. Had the good fortune to have him the last time we dined there for lunch, too. He’s a keeper.
Simply the best! View, good, service....all excellent!
Wonderful setting by the water. Service was great and food delicious. Everyone was happy with their meal. A nice sunset too. Can’t wait to return!
We were very impressed with the food, service and the view. We will definitely be back and can’t wait to bring our family with us.
Pier 22 has been my favorite restaurant and was my birthday choice. When I learned that prime rib was only Friday and Saturday, I opted for the rack of lamb. It was pathetic. Overcooked and virtually no meat. I sent it back and opted for a shrimp dish since I didn't want my dinner partners to have to wait while something else was cooked. It was OK but nothing special. It was my birthday which I had noted when I made the reservation and my husband told the hostess when we arrived. No one recognized it. We enjoyed sitting outside along the water but I was terribly disappointed in the food and the experience.
Great view. Delicious food with lots of choices. Wonderful ambience
Perfect meal with lots of gluten free items for 2 in our party of 6 which made them very happy. Food delicious and service also was very good.
Great food and service. Nice few of the bay. We will be back.
Salad was so small and 9 bucks for shrimp ..
Very unhappy
We visited Pier 22 for our 42nd wedding anniversary. Our service was excellent and our waitress was always on top of everything without being intrusive. The food was also excellent with attention paid to every detail and the finest and freshest ingredients. I highly recommend!
Really, one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. The food was very disappointing, and we only ate a few bites of everything we tried. The appetizers were overly fried and too sweet. The sushi was not fresh. The drinks were watery. Also can't say much for the service. Everything was almost comically bad. The view was nice.
Food was great
Beautiful view of the water and sunset
Great view, delish food, enjoyable atmosphere. We will dine here again
My wife and I dined at Pier 22 to celebrate her birthday and the food and service was excellent. The evening was made more memorable when a rainstorm blew in just as we had finished a delicious peanut butter pie. Quite an exciting evening.
outdoor dining is amazing!
Waitress was very attentive and food was excellent!
highly recommend
Going off previous reviews we had above average expectations. Saturday brunch on the patio. Lovely spring day, great views but, service and food were sub par. Service help appeared poorly trained. Had to ask for napkins and silverware after our food arrived. Basic bar food quality. Nothing special. Great outdoor dining atmosphere. Drinks were moderately priced which was a good thing considering how long we waited for someone to take our food order. Good thing we weren't in a hurry. Arrived at 11:30 left at 1:00 PM.
Overall always a nice dinner...it was a bit crowded with a wedding going on, which took up about half of outdoor seating which we would have preferred. There was know apparent way to request an outside table when reserving thru open table...left request in comment...didn't seem to work.
Overall still a very nice dinner
Unfortunately not the best experience this time. My husbands Grouper Oscar was sent back as it obviously had been sitting under a heat lamp with glazed over, barley warm hollandaise sauce. I had the Wasabi tuna, which was ok, but small portion, 6 medallions I believe, with white rice and stir fried vegetables that were barely warm and the rice was crusted over as well. Our server seemed annoyed with us. When the dining room manager brought out our redos she apologized for my husbands fish and I was told that it’s just the way they make their rice, sticky sushi rice. I have had penalty of sushi rice and well aware of the way it is supposed to taste, this was a ball of crusted over cool rice, not at all what I have had at that very same restaurant in the past. My husband was comped a dessert for his trouble. There was a private event going on, a wedding, at the same time we were eating. I believe the kitchen may have been a bit overwhelmed which was reflected in the quality of the dinner we were served. Definitely not a quality meal for entrees at $32 and $36.
Food was just ok, service was just ok pretty mediocre place but the sunset view and watching dolphins is I guess why people really go here
Always a good place with o/s food and service. Ambiance is great right along the Manatee river.
Had a great meal and visit with friends. They now have a new place to enjoy.
Wonderful experience taking my mom (who is visiting from out of state) to lunch there. All around great place especially to take out of town visitors.
We selected Pier 22 because of its location on the Manatee River and the outdoor patio. The ambiance was very nice and our waiter was attentive, but the food was only average. One diner had the jambalaya and it was watery and very average. One diner's fish was a bit overcooked. My scallops were cooked perfectly. Desserts were good. I'd go again for the atmosphere if I was in the neighborhood. Sad that places with views continue to think the food only has to be good enough.
Nice greeting upon arrival. Good bar vibe. Nice view. Very good food.
One of our favorite “Go To” restaurants. Food was great, service equally good and a wonderful view
We were seated right next to the door for the out door bar area. There was a large amount of people there....extremely. loud and destroyed out dinner....we spent almost 200 dollars for our dinner....which we thought would be in quiet setting to enjoy our guest. very disappointing ..... If I wanted to eat in a b ar I would have gone else where....David Liehr
Beautiful setting in the shade by the water, cool breeze, attentive but unobtrusive waitress and good food at a decent price. Who could ask for anything more?
Easter dinner was fantastic!
The waitress was fantastic!! We asked to speak with a manager so we could tell her her how great she was and no one ever came. They sat us next to a speaker which was very loud. Overall the food was great and so was our service!
Easter! Our server was great!! Her name was Katherine J
My husband and I both ordered prime rib, it was delicious
as always!! We love this place!
was nice but disappointed because we reserved quite some time ago for an outdoor table and a table outside was not saved for us. we ended up inside by a bar while did not appreciate since we made our reservation well in advance.
Food was pricey and quality lacking. Went for Easter Brunch but the menu offered was a dinner menu. Only I asked for brunch items did the waitress tell me they had a seafood omelette and lobster eggs Benedict. Went with the eggs Benedict. When it arrived the eggs were not poached properly( they were hard), the potatoes, peppers and onions had to have been prepared the night before as they were soggy and the Hollandaise sauce was flavorless. Lobster was a couple of small pieces on each English muffin. Our waitress was great. We sat outside and enjoyed the views of the water. Still not planning on going back anytime soon.
There was a wedding going on on the deck which was nice. The atmosphere was very nice, the waiter was friendly but a little slow. The food was good, better than average, but not quality “chef” great.
We like this place for the atmosphere and because it’s close to our home and the food is always good and consistent. This is great for a weekday lunch/weekend brunch or Friday night date. Not for special occasions..
There was a wedding going on and it detracted from our experience. Should have been told when we made reservation.
