Went to pier 22 to celebrate my so son’s birthday— as usual it was a great experience. The food was great but the service was exceptional! My husband and I stumbled on to this place when we moved to the area over three years ago and have been amazed how the staff will work to ensure you have a great dining experience. A diverse menu is sure to please a variety of foodies. Highly recommend.
Very clean, professional an courteous staff. Our waitress was available but not overbearing. Nice place for a business lunch.
Enjoyed eating outside. Very comfortable. Everybody enjoyed their meal. Soup wasn't hot but sent it back and was given a new bowl right away. It was a slow night. Can get very crowded. make a reservation!!
Slow service improved once a server found us.
Food was very delicious, and the service was even better. Greg, our waiter, could tell my wife didn't like her Prime Rib (too much rosemary for her tastes, but I wound up eating all of it, very well-seasoned for me), so he had Jess, the manager, come over and she insisted on replacing it for the Beef Tenderloin free of charge. They were incredibly nice and attentive the entire service.
It was a very good meal and the service was awesome. I did think it was a little loud.
Great place with a nice menu selection and delish food! Right on the Manatee River. One of my favorite places.
great job! we had a date after dinner and the wait staff really picked it up, we were out in plenty of time. Great job thanks to all!
Great atmosphere! Staff was friendly and helpful. Was a little surprised it wasn't decorated for Christmas.
One of the best water views in Bradenton. I had the Salmon BLT and it was delicious. Highly recommend the red Sangria. Good service.
We all loved it and they were able to accommodate all of the tables allergies as well. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
We’ve been going to Pier 22 for Thanksgiving for years. Before my husband passed, we would go there for lunch as well. One of his favorite places.
The expectations were high as it was our Thanksgiving dinner. The beautiful location was set for a fantastic dining experience. But unfortunately, the plate with the turkey was a big disappointment. The way the food was served, just two minutes after the bread that comes with the first drinks order, a plate with loads of things on it was served with the efficiency of feeding a hospital, a university or a hungry squadron in the field. It it had nothing to do with the special atmosphere of thanksgiving.
Neither had the food. One undefinable mash of supposedly gravy on the right hand side, flanked by pretty dry turkey meat, cold beans and overcooked cauliflower/broccoli. The Sweet Mashed Potatoes were great, eben they came out lukewarm only.
So to summarize this experience. Food and atmosphere were mikes away from anything festive or fabulous to remember. It rather was a cooked protest of the kind “If we can’t celebrate Thanksgiving at home because we have to serve you, we’ll make you miss your family Thanksgiving eben more.”
I have always had a good experience st Piet 22 but if you step thinking of going on Thanksgiving Day think as this year we booked a table and took friends from England and the food was poor value for a standard turkey dinner. Dinner was only luke warm and very bad value for money
Disaster! Bar backed up, took about 25 minutes to get our drinks, then they were made incorrectly. Food came out cold, chewy and overdone. They did accommodate us for all the issues and took care of our bill. We appreciated how they handled the situation. We won’t be dining there again.
We had a Thanksgiving day reservation at 6:30. We arrived early and notified the hostess we would be sitting in the bar and she asked we just come back at 6:30. At 6:30 we went back to the hostess only to be told our table was not ready, we sat another 15 minutes and asked again how much longer. She then took us to a table that had been sitting empty. This was not the only table at the time that was empty. Why would they make us wait?
They had the regular menu and advertised a Thanksgiving plate. The Thanksgiving plate was not described on the menu or even listed and the waitress didn’t offer any information. So I guess if you didn’t read their advertising you were expected to know what and how much the plate is. None of us ordered the Thanksgiving plate because the advertised plate was more than twin lobster tails, we ordered lobster. The Thanksgiving plate was $35, lobster was $31.
The food was fine, I don’t think they had enough help for the holiday.
My friend and I went for the Thanksgiving day dinner. He opted for the Buffalo Steak and I opted for the traditional Turkey Dinner. Both were excellent. We sat by two doors which was interesting because it was like a floor show, a little on the noisy side, but nonetheless, everything went wonderfully.
Food was very good-as always. I expected Thanksgiving to be busy but it would have been nice if you had someone checking on drink orders, etc. other than the waiter, who was too busy to be attentive. I don’t like it but, for heavens sake, have mint jelly available on request with lamb-hardly an exotic ingredient. No one checked on how our meals were and I did spend over $200 with tip for 3 people. And no bag for leftovers was ridiculous.
I love me some PIER 22! I live about 40 minutes away and it is so much worth the trip !!
Great food and service! Beautiful views!
Had a wonderful experience, I would definitely recommend to my family & friends.
Pier 22 was excellent. We sat on the patio overlooking the river on a warm, sunny day. Food and service was excellent, what more could you ask for!
It was Thanksgiving Day, it was our first time at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the hot food arrived promptly, no long waiting time despite the restaurant being at maximum capacity. It was a little bit more expensive than we normally would spend for the type of meal that we ordered.
The service was excellent, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating.
Love it here, we are there OFTEN, always introduce our friends and family to this wonderful spot!
Great food, service and ambiance. The server was gracious and attentive. The turkey dinner was excellent. Will definitely be back.
Thanksgiving lunch, service was stellar, but food was merely adequate. Turkey was dry and everything was cold, and we ate at 11:15AM, so should have been fresh out of the oven.green beans were extremely al dente, and even the requested extra gravy was cold. Have eaten here before and the food was always good, so we are chalking this up to it being a holiday and hoping for better next time.
Setting on the outdoor terrace on a sunny day is amazing. Food is very good, service even better. Somewhat pricey but worth every penny.
Beautiful atmosphere for a small family reunion. Food and service was excellent. I had the seafood salad and it was the best one I've tasted in a long time. The view is also to die for....
First time there and we will be coming back. The food and service were excellent.
Great location and very good food and reasonable for the quality. Great service!
Food lacked flavor. Fish was very bland and was suppose to be a potato crusted. Instead it was like bland mashed potatoes on top of a thin piece of frozen fish. The wait for a server took 20 minutes just to even order a glass of wine and another 10 to get it. Ambience was very nice and that’s what attracted us there. My sister’s fish looked and tasted like a piece of chicken and they forgot the lobster sauce. She returned it to only get the same meal and sauce on the side. Presentation was horrible for the prices they charge. Her fish was very bland as well. Will not be returning...don’t waste your money here.
Ordered the grouper special and it was dry. Asked for the bernaise sauce to be key off but did not expect fish to be dry because of the this.
This was a lovely setting, dined outdoors on a nice evening. Pleasant to watch boats on the water. Food was excellent, but appetizer and main course arrived at same time. Waiter did not refill water. Would go there again, but have had better service in past.
lovely setting for our lunch, nice staff, good food! will be back next time I'm in the area!
My wife and I went to Pier 22 for brunch for our 46th wedding anniversary. They treated us and the occasion with great grace and generosity. Service was outstanding and the cocktails, wine service and food were all superb. All aspects of our special occasion were excellent.
We reserved the fire table and will definitely do that again in the future!
