The service was very slow. My dinnet arrived before my appetizers.
Very nice venue but seafood was very over cooked and not fresh. Would not eat there again. Great music however.
Love the scene, food is okay. Drinks do not get you drank.
We celebrated our 37th Anniversary here, and it was an incredible experience.
Even though it rained, it made it more fun and romantic.
The staff had beautiful flowers on our table, the music was romantic songs played, and we had incredible food and service. We had the seafood pot, which was delectable.
Everything was perfect here.
We will be back.
Not sure if I would recommend this place only because we got there at 8:30pm and they were practically out of everything that we wanted.
Excellent food and drinks! Service was slow but we were not in a hurry.
Besides our noisy neighbors at the bar during our meal. It was next to perfect!
Beautiful setting, right on the water. Everything we ordered was excellent-two different fish entrees, a pasta and a chicken dish within our group, plus two different desserts. Would highly recommend, but be sure to make a reservation.
The food was delicious. A bit disappointed ting that many things were not available but what I did order was phenomenal. The only negative is that it took a long to get our drinks and food. And when we were done it took over 20 minutes to get our check. but over all I would return
We had reserved a table but when we got there they said pier 1 was reserved for a party so we had to leave.
The only problem I had was our original waitress. She walked pass our table several times without even getting a drink order or water. Another lady Nicola who was the cashier at the bar end up serving us. We kept her as our waitress and she was really awesome. Outside of the waitress everything else was great.
Still in two minds about this. The food when it arrived was fine for me, but for my two companions, they complained of cold rice - my baked potato was hot enough to burn my mouth, but perhaps their meals had been sitting waiting so that the vegetables and rice were cold. The chicken wasn't enjoyed, although the waitress was very friendly and willing to take a special request to the kitchen.
Despite all this, a wonderful setting on the water, pity it wasn't the best sunset on the day we were there, but we may be back just to see the view.
The view is gorgeous!
The food was okay - wasn't blown away.
All in all, 3.5/5.
Found this restaurant for lunch with my girls. We all had a great time and a great meal!
Food was very good. Bar was not too busy but we had to request twice our drinks.
Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Great place to eat by the sea and enjoy the breeze and the views with your mail.
The oxtail stew was incredible !!
Some locals (and Yelp) told us not to miss this place. We were so happy to have followed their advice! Excellent food! Fresh fresh fresh seafood! Vibe is awesome. Great last night in Montego Bay.
Absolutely beautiful restaurant. Fantastic ambience, beautiful scenery. Gorgeous view of the harbour, where we watched the cruise ships depart.
The food was decent. The shellfish was good, and pleasantly seasoned. The beef burger was a little dry, and there was only one shrimp in the surf & turf burger. The shrimp tacos were enjoyable. The seafood boil was a little bland, but adequate quantity for two people.
Had a lovely evening, stayed for their fashion show and after party. A night well spent. Our server Gibson, was definitely a people person. He's great. Almost like we met before. The food portions could be bigger and the appetizer menu was a bit limited that's it. Overall, a thumbs up will definitely go back soon
Lobster over cooked not enough food, oxtails mostly fat and small
Really enjoyed the cocktails and the seafood pasta! The salt fish fritters were a bit dry but the scookie dessert was really good!!!
Service was great however Entree portions are very small
Took over an hour for food to reach our table from time of order.
The waitress was so disgusting! She asked me I wanted to give the tip from my cards. I told her no and she threw down the card on the table.
The service was great, food was yummy (although the bammy that I ordered on the side was cut too thin and too crispy for my liking). I love the location and the music in the background was just right to create a good vibe. I dined with my husband, but I would definitely book a birthday party or celebration here.
The view and the environment was great, a bit chilly tho in the late night. The hostess was very lovely and the food was inexpensive. Overall my husband and I enjoyed the dinner (it was his birthday so they sang him happy birthday )
After making my reservation for 10:30pm and called to reconfirm, when I showed up I was then told that the restaurant closed at 9:30pm to facilitate a party. The worst part was that the hostesses were rude not even apologetic. I was looking forward to dining at this restaurant for my B-Day but myself and my friends were very disappointed.
It was a good overall experience. I would recommend to others.
Service was awesome loved my waitress Ameeka she took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed.
Minimal menu options. We got there at 7:30pm and they were out of anything with conch. Not bad but I was thinking it would be a little more alive than it was. Mediocre food and staff.
We had three conch dishes, oxtail, wings, wontons, and several other things and the all the conch dishes tasted spoilt. We all got sick back at our hotel. Lunch for six was not so good. I suppose they could’ve had a bad batch of conch but man oh man that was gross.
Great meal, music and service. Left before it became a club.
Concerned that there was litter in the sea plastic boxes given by pier . If the management want to keep this somewhere beautiful they need to rethink how they box up meals and serve their drink. Two straws given with each drink.(paper straws better for
Overall good experience; however, the lobster tail was overcooked and rubbery. Disappointing when you spend that kind of money. Karaoke night appears to be fun for those that participate.
Horrible service. Waitress was awful. Do not go there go to margueritte way better service.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere dining on the marina .
Food was good and excellent value for the price
While Pier 1 is my 3rd favorite restaurant in MoBay, I find that I must be a very proactive customer in order to get the meal the way I want it. For example: when ordering baked potato, servers will not (usually) ask if you want butter - and nothing additional is ever served without being requested. I forgot, at this most recent visit. Although I did request it as soon as I saw the plate, my food was cold before the butter was brought; 15 minutes later, and only after I engaged 2 other staff members. I also usually ask the server to repeat the entire order back to me before she heads to the kitchen. Again, I forgot, and 2 errors were made on a friend's plate. This may not bother some, but I enjoy my food in a particular way, and appreciate attention to detail - which should be a focus for good wait staff.
Also on this mid-afternoon Sunday visit, some staff seemed to be too taken by sports to pay attention to customers, even tho only 2 people were at the bar watching, while 1-2 doz were seated at tables dining, not watching. After asking to move to a quieter location when initially seated close to the bar, my party of 4 was moved directly into the sun. When we inquired about a shady section, we were told it was "closed", yet a party of 3 was seated there 30mins later. In no way do I think this was mean-spirited, but simply a lack of consideration - seemingly because many staff's concentration was on the game.
There was also construction going on at the far end, which added to the volume. But even it was not as annoying as the several loud TVs; or the staff. Most staff seemed more interested in watching the game & chatting, than the delivering the correct items in a timely fashion. As a result this was sadly one of my worst experiences at Pier 1.
I still recommend it because their Jamaican specialties; the coconut shrimp; & more are GOOD! But this mediocre visit was disappointing, as I choose Pier 1 for my friends and it was a poor 1st experience for them.
Restaurant could not find my reservation but somehow found the availability to seat me... Great food though!😃
Went there to celebrate my bf birthday.. We had a lovely time. Our waiter was great and the food was good! I'd dine there whever next I get the opportunity to 😊
The view my friend and I had was gorgeous! Great spot to take memorable pictures.
About 10 minutes after being seated, it started raining heavily. We got wet and were moved to the bar area. They definitely need an indoor area to accommodate diners during the rainy weather.
It was an amazing experience, however! The staff was friendly and polite, and the hostess was great!
The wait for the food was a bit lengthy, but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It was well prepared.
I wish the music was a bit more upbeat for the occasion though (a friend's birthday).
After our meal, a very friendly photographer came and offered to take and print pictures of us for a very small fee. Perfect way to end our evening!
Overall, it was a superb experience.
The wait was very long
I have been to Pier one on many occasions - waited one hour to be seated and I had my grandmother and great grandmother there.
Food wait was moderate but the wait for the drink was way after we completed our meals.
Then another wait for the bill.
The wait was what caused the evening to not be as successful
The service was good and the food tasted great..excellent choice for celebrating with friends.
