Food was just ok. Nothing special. Buffet was not very good. Service was good.
This restaurant is in dire need of customer service training. We stayed at the hotel and ate here 4 times due to lack of options. With the exception of one waitress (Natasha), the entire staff could use training in customer service. The night we had a reservation for outside, the hostess informed us it was impossible to reserve for outside (even tho I had a confirmation for outside), and we still waited 30 minutes to sit inside.
Would not return.
Buffet was excellent, service was good, dining room was fine.
This was a very disappointing experience. For the price, we expected much better food. The steak was sub par at best, fish was horrible and bread was moldy. I would not recommend.
Labor day holiday weekend
It’s very chaotic to get seated. Guest at the resort are not told need reservations to be able to eat at the main restaurant on the grounds. Even with reservations you have to wait. None of the staff can really give clear answers on anything. It seems like the whole staff is winging it. The staff is definitely trying their best but from the nights I was there it seems like it’s normal atmosphere. Restaurant is understaffed and under train to deal with simple request from the guest looking to eat, get to go orders, or even for a cup of coffee. The place has potential to be awesome but it needs some changes address immediately. Not only from the restaurant but from the hotel as a whole. Referring people to go eat at the kfc in town or handing them a $10 voucher for activities they don’t partake in doesn’t cut it
Would have liked more variety on salad bar and entrees. Very little sides available, no potatoes, only one veggie, no chicken... Food had good flavors, just needed more variety.
If you like quality food and great service then the buffet at Callaway Gardens (The Piedmont) needs to be on your short list of restaurants to visit. The mixed drinks were phenomenal. I ordered the Rye Old Fashion and it was perfect.
If you're skeptical about buffets, this place requires you to wear latex gloves when filling your plate.
I highly recommend you make reservations. I made my reservations for 5 pm when they open.
Go somewhere else. Not good food or value. Would not recommend.
Very convenient dining. Noise level high however for dinner. Funny accounting. We signed bill to room and what was sent to our account was not what we signed for. The food cost and tip left were not what we signed for. One night we left in cash a $30 tip but what was sent to the hotel account decreased the food cost and left a tip for server. Same thing happened the second night. Weird. Someone is getting cheated on.
This restaurant is still recovering from the pandemic and has quite a long
way to go before it's back to normal in terms of the quality of the food as well as the variety. I wish it a speedy recovery!

We went for a birthday and we’re disappointed by the menu offerings and quality of the food. I scraped the Boursin cheese off my impossible burger because the combination was quite unpleasant and my boyfriend’s burger also left a lot to be desired. The food just wasn’t tasty and was quite overpriced for what it was. We opted to eat in town for both meals the next day to avoid having to dine here again.
The whole hotel was freezing, which made it very uncomfortable. Good was ok at times.
It was not a bad experience. It just didn’t offer any reason to return.
Food was delicious and adequate portions. Desert was big and can be shared by 2 people.
Our food was good (salmon and shrimp & grits) - we enjoyed it. Wine selection isn’t very good.
Robert our waiter was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He assured me the cajun sauce on the shrimp and grits was not too spicy. He was correct.
It was excellent. My husband's fish and chips were very good. Probably the best fries we have ever had.
Went for the Seafood Buffett and they no longer offer crab legs or oysters. The prime rib was tough, no flavor.
No advance was given that they had removed these items from the buffet. Prime rib is normally good but it was horrible.
Way over priced for the poor quality food. Will not go back.

The menu is very limited and unimaginative, it is not changed from lunch to dinner even thou it is the only restaurant in the hotel ( the other has exactly the same menu). The hotel is very far from everything, so you don’t have options.
The presentation, or lack of, was pitiful. The buffet expensive, few options, cafeteria style.
Wine selection was poor too. Callaway Gardens Resort and Spa is quite expensive so I was expecting a lot more. The staff looked like they had just being hired and had no clue on anything, they were trying and nice and doing the best they could under very poor management and understaffing. Extremely disappointed
I would not recommend this restaurant. The menu is the same for lunch and dinner not to mention the quality of the food taste like a cafeteria. Waited over an hour for a salad with 4 ingredients with very few patrons in the restaurant. If you do have to eat here, I would recommend the burger. Overpriced and poor service.
Had not been to Callaway Gardens in many years. I was very disappointed in the selection and quality of the food. Not very many options for eating out.
The room that we ate in was very messy. The vacuum was in the entrance as well as other stuff stacked near the door and other places around the room. The windows were dirty. The waitress was very good, just attentive enough. The salmon was good , the wine was misspelled on the menu and the dessert was bad....

Our server was wonderful. The food was average. We chose the buffet. The salads were very good but the main course and desserts were average.

Limited menu with covid restrictions but Buffett is open during the weekends. Good value and choice for the money. Did not try the breakfast buffet but they have a to go menu that is a la carte as well.
Our waitress was very very special!! You are lucky to have her . I hope you can look up who it was so she gets recognition. The dinners were just as described on the menu and the quality of each was perfect . Our table had three different entrées and all were enjoyed!

The food was good. Very limited menu. Went two nights in a row. No variety. Maybe time of year that other restaurants on the grounds were closed and even outside of the gardens no many places open. Overall good experience

Fabulous food! Excellent server (Raven)! Enjoyed the ambiance! Once one noisy table of patrons left, it was pleasantly quiet.

I use to come to Calloway every year in the late 70's and 89's, it was great but was very disappointed this trip, did not feel welcomed
