Overall dining experience was good. Both the food and service were very good however the decor was dated and somewhat cold.
The menu is somewhat limited but, enough choices that everyone in our party was able to make a good selection. Two of us had the Salmon which was very good! My husband had the Shrimp and Grits and enjoyed it very much and, my brother had the burger. All in all a very good meal!
Large group of young drinkers came in and were noisy. Food was good and a big shout out to Shay. She was friendly and was great for us.
Ribeye and salmon were good. Nice charcuterie board. Need a better wine selection but great bartender for cocktails.
This restaurant at the resort was just okay. Menu was limited. We choose the buffet and had a selection of seafood. The desserts were not just okay! Looked supermarket bought.
Not too many options in the mountain so creative menu would be a treat.

Very disappointing. Didn’t realize that the buffet closed at 5pm. No wonder it was easy to get reservations! We had been there before and had high expectations.
The only issue I had was I thought the Thanksgiving buffet lasted later than 5pm, but it was only available from 1pm to 5pm. I made the reservation for 6:30, and we had to order off the ordinary menu. I probably missed it, but I swear I didn't see where it said buffet only until 5pm.
For the price of the Thanksgiving meal we were all disappointed that it wasn’t better. All of the food seemed to be over cooked. The dressing was hard and the gravy was lukewarm. The rolls were overcooked and hard. The desserts were obvious frozen pies and cakes and nothing special at all. Overall, the meal was average and overpriced. Won’t be going back.
The Piedmont Room is excellent. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was delightful (we got to sit near the fireplace, which was so romantic). Our waitress, Ebony, was the absolute best, so polite and attentive to all our needs (even on the busy day of Thanksgiving).
The family had a great Thanksgiving Dinner together.
Great food and the service was excellent.
Will be back next year.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day meal. The food, the service, the set-up was all excellent. We were surprised at how well the team was able to spread everyone out in multiple rooms. We didn't feel crowded or like people were on top of each other. It was very accommodating and reassuring in this age of Covid. Kudos to all who planned and pulled off this great event.
Great atmosphere in ironwood lounge
THIS WILL BE MY FUTURE HOLIDAY GET AWAY! LOVED THE FOOD, SERVICE, ATMOSPHERE. WORTH A TRIP!

The food was great and so was the service. There was a small child crying and screaming at a table next to us and we were so thankful the staff asked them to leave and then the evening was quiet and so memorable. Such a great place to eat and enjoy the ambience.
Friendly staff and the food was great. We had the Buffett on Saturday night with Prime Rib and Shrimp.

Typical buffet food— likely from frozen. The omelet bar was delicious, though!
- Dinner was good not great. I think the buffet would have been a better choice with a carving station and boiled shrimp on ice. The waiter on Saturday night could use some training. He made himself scarce while we waited for almost an hour on our meal. They were very busy so I understand, but he never came by to explain what was going on.
- The breakfast bar was excellent both days. Lots of choices. Grits bar was good and the bacon was crisp and well drained.
Waited at least 15 to 20 minutes for a refill glass of tea!
We had some loud folks next to us - reason I stated it was a little loud. But other then that - we really enjoyed our dinner and the service was awesome.

First, my reservation was for outdoor dining only to be told they don’t have outdoor seating when we got there. The food was mediocre. Our waiter was great!

This restaurant is in dire need of customer service training. We stayed at the hotel and ate here 4 times due to lack of options. With the exception of one waitress (Natasha), the entire staff could use training in customer service. The night we had a reservation for outside, the hostess informed us it was impossible to reserve for outside (even tho I had a confirmation for outside), and we still waited 30 minutes to sit inside.
Would not return.
Buffet was excellent, service was good, dining room was fine.
This was a very disappointing experience. For the price, we expected much better food. The steak was sub par at best, fish was horrible and bread was moldy. I would not recommend.
Labor day holiday weekend
It’s very chaotic to get seated. Guest at the resort are not told need reservations to be able to eat at the main restaurant on the grounds. Even with reservations you have to wait. None of the staff can really give clear answers on anything. It seems like the whole staff is winging it. The staff is definitely trying their best but from the nights I was there it seems like it’s normal atmosphere. Restaurant is understaffed and under train to deal with simple request from the guest looking to eat, get to go orders, or even for a cup of coffee. The place has potential to be awesome but it needs some changes address immediately. Not only from the restaurant but from the hotel as a whole. Referring people to go eat at the kfc in town or handing them a $10 voucher for activities they don’t partake in doesn’t cut it
Would have liked more variety on salad bar and entrees. Very little sides available, no potatoes, only one veggie, no chicken... Food had good flavors, just needed more variety.
If you like quality food and great service then the buffet at Callaway Gardens (The Piedmont) needs to be on your short list of restaurants to visit. The mixed drinks were phenomenal. I ordered the Rye Old Fashion and it was perfect.
If you're skeptical about buffets, this place requires you to wear latex gloves when filling your plate.
I highly recommend you make reservations. I made my reservations for 5 pm when they open.
Go somewhere else. Not good food or value. Would not recommend.
Very convenient dining. Noise level high however for dinner. Funny accounting. We signed bill to room and what was sent to our account was not what we signed for. The food cost and tip left were not what we signed for. One night we left in cash a $30 tip but what was sent to the hotel account decreased the food cost and left a tip for server. Same thing happened the second night. Weird. Someone is getting cheated on.
This restaurant is still recovering from the pandemic and has quite a long
way to go before it's back to normal in terms of the quality of the food as well as the variety. I wish it a speedy recovery!
