Piedmont Bistro by Venue Ratings and Reviews
Three of the four at our table spoke very highly of their entree. Unfortunately, mine was overly salty and was difficult for me to enjoy. The risotto included lots of bacon, which was salty and then the scallops were very salty. I could not eat the risotto, but ate the scallops, drinking a great deal of water, as they are quite expensive and I didn't want them to go to waste. We enjoyed dessert...the coconut cream pie was delicious.
We booked online for our anniversary - never been there . They knew it was a spec occasion and still stuck us at a small table between two larger tables . I could reach the plates of food on the other tables . Waiter had to kneel down to get close enough to take our order & be heard Enough said 😒
Our dinner at Piedmont Bistro was an overall great experience. The food was delicious- highly recommend the brussel sprouts appetizer- unique cocktails, a nice variety of options on the menu at reasonable prices. I am not sure what our servers name was but he was very knowledgeable and friendly and kept a good eye on us. We were a group of 6 friends getting together and the evening was a huge success.
We made our reservations a few days ahead of time on open table. We were initially disappointed to get a noisy table next to the kitchen. But the staff was very competent and friendly, and the food was outstanding! We really enjoyed ourselves it will go back soon.
Our second time to visit the Piedmont Bistro for dinner and it was as delicious as the first. They have a nice variety of interesting items on the menu for both the adventurous and non-adventurous. Don't miss the beet fries! I have read other reviews that complain about the noise level, but I didn't find it annoying. We were in seating along the wall-- so maybe it is louder at a table in the middle? Will try to hit lunch sometime to see how that menu stacks up!
Great service once we had a table. We did not have reservations and we were told they were full. We left the restaurant and I looked on the open table app and made a reservation for within 45 minutes, so we drove back and had a table. The food was great and our server was awesome.
The restaurant and ambiance was really nice. The waiter was friendly but didn't seem too knowledgeable about the menu and where food was sourced from (and didn't offer to check with the kitchen). We got the sea scallops and the spaetzle. The scallops was served on a bed of risotto which was tasty but a bit too runny. The spaetzle was cooked way too dry and lacked seasoning. Even the kale with the spaetzle was wilted and brown on the dish, which looked very unappealing. When we told the waiter about the spaetzle, he acknowledged it but did not offer to replace the dish or take it off our check. He did tell the kitchen about it but just told them it was bad without any details provided. At the end, the spaetzle was left on our check and we didn't want to fight it so we paid for it. It wasn't a great experience and I would not recommend this place for dinner since it was a bit pricier for Lincoln and the food and service quality don't equal what you pay for it.
First let me start by saying the food and food service were very good and I would definitely go back. The frustration I had was at check in. First, the hostess was gone from her station for long periods and had to wait to check in. As we sat waiting to be seated, this happened to many other guests. We had made a reservation, but arrived 30 minutes early. The hostess said she had other people to seat who where waiting (they didn’t have reservations). No problem with that. I asked if we should put are name on the wait list and she said no, she had it on her reservation list. We sat there for 15 minutes and watched people who walked in without a reservation and be immediately seated. All the guests that were waiting when we arrived had been seated. I then asked for the hostess to put us on the wait list. Once this happened we were seated within 5 min. I did not expect to be seated before people who were waiting, but I was kind of baffled why we weren’t put in queue with walk ins. Certainly not a deal breaker, will definitely go back when in town. Just not sure I understand the last logic.
First time for lunch here. Have been for dinner and breakfast before. Our table was ready on time and we got fast service. The food was very good and the portions plentiful. I did ask the waitress for separate tickets and we did not receive that, nor did she tell me she couldn't do that. I'm fairly sure I have received separate tickets at breakfast and dinner, so perhaps it was just too noisy for her to hear me. Several us had the chicken salad sandwich and it was wonderful.
We went in for brunch and had a great experience. Our server was helpful and prompt and the food was delicious. We ordered an Eggs Benedict and an order of French toast. The only downfall was they were out of buscuits (we were going to order buiscuits and gravy) but we enjoyed what we got instead!
