Piedmont Bistro by Venue
Great food and great service, as usual! The only thing that bothered us was that the place was not super busy (ice storm night), we were done eating but wanted to stay and visit with a glass of wine...they obviously wanted us to leave, waiter never came back to offer another drink or anything.
We love coming to the Bistro. Food is always excellent and the wait staff is always polite and helpful.
It should be embarrassing to the kitchen to serve broken hollandaise sauce but they served it anyway.
Open Table reservation request honored...warm welcome from hostess...our server was Will who not only attended the bar but made sure we had everything we needed...you can not beat the Mimosa Pitcher special on Sunday...beet fries as always amazing!
Green Goddess salad was fabulous for me and my husband enjoyed his biscuit and gravy (he’s a traditionalist and it wasn’t what he was use to)...but he loved the ham!!!...now if you just had a beet/rhubarb pie or beet sorbet for dessert ...ask Will) 😉)...thank you and hope to see you again very soon!
Food was subpar for the price. If I'm spending $60 dollars on a meal for two it should be better than a chain restaurant. Medium rare steak was rubbery, chicken was tough, portions were small (which wouldn't be a problem if the food was amazing). Nothing about the food warranted the price tag.
Our server was very professional and on top of his game even with a full dining room. Just had the misfortune of his kitchen dropping the ball.
I’ve been to piedmont bistro quite a few times. Always wonderful food and great services! Will definitely return.
Nice restaurant for business casual meetings. Thanks to Jeff and his team for creating multiple restaurants in Lincoln with unique foods.
Lunch is my FAVORITE time to go. Better menu for vegitarian.
Again, I liked the way the food tasted. I ate it with my face.
The only I didn’t put 5 stars is that you have to make reservations on Friday and Saturday. Tyler our server was great I wish there were more servers like him.
I've been to Piedmont Bistro several times and have never been disappointed. Their food is good traditional American food (brunch, burgers, sandwiches) with special ingredients or a twist. Their home made potato chips are the only ones I've ever actually liked. The servers are always friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is beautiful.
A favorite local spot...a great spot for lunch with friends, and their Sunday brunch is wonderful.
Great food, wait staff was friendly and effective. However the front desk was disorganized, we had to wait 20 minutes for our table despite having a reservation.
I like the way the food tasted. I ate it with my face.
We love to have breakfast with friends at Piedmont Bistro. The food is delicious and prepared so well. I had the salmon the other day for breakfast -it was so good.
The bathroms were a mess at 9 am Saturday - paper towels overflowing on the floor; otherwise it was great.
Want to like Piedmont Bistro, but waitress was not friendly, wife and I each ordered a scallop dish. The scallops had an unusual taste as they were burnt in one side.
This is a wonderful quaint place to have an intimate dinner. Love it!
All four of us had their incredibly high quality and juicy burgers. They are the best around. Home made chips were awesome too. As usual, service was great.
Reservation was honored on time. Service was great. Eggs Benedict possibly the best I've had. Biscuits and gravy were very good, but my husband would have liked more gravy. He'd have it again with an extra side of gravy.
Food was excellent as usual. Waiter was good even though he had also been assigned a big group.
Holiday celebration with friends
Hoping lunch today was just an off day & not a trend. Server guy was not the least bit attentive & the beet fries were super mushy.
I have been to Piedmont Bistro at least a half a dozen times, and have only had one good experience. This time, I went with a friend for a birthday breakfast. I had made reservations on Open Table. At least this time, there was someone to greet me and take me to my table. When the young man selected a table for me, out in the middle of the restaurant, next to a pole, I requested a half booth. He granted my request. The waiter we had was not friendly, did not come back to check to see if our food was okay, and we had to flag him down to get coffee refills. My food, (Eggs Benedict) was barely luke warm. Since the waiter never came back to check on us, I ate it anyway. The coffee was terrible, and not very hot. I would think an upscale restaurant like this would have better coffee, at least. I'm disappointed again. I'm not sure if I will give them another chance.
I had the soy honey chicken. It was excellent. Husband had pasta (catatonic) it was also great.
I was in Lincoln for business and this was a great restaurant to meet for lunch. The food was great. Make reservations because they are very busy for lunch.
My visit was a first (Tuesday evening at 6:30pm) and I was joined by three friends. Two of them had been to the Piedmont Bistro before and gave it rave reviews. I was NOT disappointed. My meal (Honey Glaze Chicken) was fabulous and a good portion size. With my entrée, I also ordered a side salad. It was fresh and crisp. Of course our party couldn't leave with having dessert. I selected Tiramisu and it was quite yummy. Our waiter was Tyler and he provided excellent and attentive service. I'm already looking forward to going to Piedmont Bistro again.
The Piedmont Bistro is a great place to meet a friend or a group of friends to enjoy delicious, locally sourced food and enjoy an interesting cocktail or a glass of wine. Servers are friendly and attentive. It's location, on the edge of the Piedmont neighborhood, places it close to Lincoln's center. When weather permits, the outdoor dining near a fireplace is attractive.
All was perfect, the French Onion soup is marvelous. I have never experienced better. Our only thought is that our food arrived almost too soon. So we enjoyed coffee and chatting and people watching. Thoroughly the experience and I am set to return SOONl
We enjoyed our luncheon at Piedmont Bistro. A wide variety on the menu, good service. I think I like the dining room even more in the daytime with the large east facing windows.
Both the service and the the food were very good. We did think that the noise level was a little loud.
First time eating at this restaurant - was on the recommendation of a friend. The food was amazing, I had the red reuben and a kale slaw. I am away at college and my mom came up to see me, so we went here. It was snowing when we went and it was cool to look out the big windows while eating. Our waitress did her job, but I did not feel like she was interested in being there or in serving us. She didn't do anything wrong, per say, just could have been a bit friendlier and engaged.
It's a nicer restaurant with good quality food. I enjoy it.
I love Piedmont and try to go as much as possible. The biscuits they are making are rapidly declining. This is the third I’ve had a different issue with them. Once they were completely burned an served, another the food wasn’t close to warm, and today I struggled to be able to cut through the bottom of my biscuit.
Our server, Jacob, was fantastic. I recommend the scallops & risotto and the onion soup.
Didn’t really enjoy it. Food was only ok and it wasn’t a very nice decor and the price was to high for the quality of the food and ambience
Really great food. Attentive staff. A little loud, but my guest and I still enjoyed ourselves.
Good food, my friend had the salmon and loved it, I ordered the Asian chicken salad, dressing on the side, good flavors but the chicken was a bit dry. Great service, good happy hour, excellent hostess at the front and they really do want to make the customer happy. Burgers are good (wish they had sweet potato fries :)) and the spinach salad is excellent. They have a wonderful outdoor seating area, needs a few more umbrellas to help with the sun in the summer. Great central location.
We’ve always been fans of all things owned by The Venue, however, we hit all three restaurants this weekend and we disappointed in quality/quantity of food. I don’t know if they are stretched too thin or what. I order the Farmers Hash which I had a few months ago and they’ve really changed it and not for the better. Used to be quinoa, kale, veggies and an egg. This time it was an egg on potatoes. I didn’t have any vegetables either. Very disappointing.
Had a great Saturday evening dinner with the wifey. Excellent steak, prepared as ordered. Loved the Brussel sprouts appy.
Our 2nd visit. Both were great! One in our party said the filet was the best steak he ever had, and his wife said the chicken was the best she had ever eaten. We will all be going back for more!
