Thanks for making my friend’s farewell dinner an unforgettable experience.
Wonderful meal. On par with Michelin starred restaurants in NYC. Servers were exceptionally knowledgeable. Excellent cocktail program.
We were seated at the table we requested in advance via Open Table. Our wine bottle was welcomed without issue and opened and decanted for us. The cocktails were excellent - superior ingredients. Service was attentive and a perfect balance of being present without being intrusive. The menu designed for sharing has something for everyone yet unique in every way. Ingredients are fresh and presentation is original. Highly recommend.
It was an amazing experience! I shared with them that it was our friends' anniversary and they had a special table for us right next to the kitchen. It got us salivating over the halibut and roasted lamb!
Everything was amazing... from the sake to the bubbly to the food. I cannot rave enough about the roasted lamb - cooked to perfection. The servers and bartenders were friendly and made the entire experience feel all that more amazing! Thank you!
Fun spot to connect with friends and colleagues. Cocktails and food was delicious. Service was great.
Got a great table by the kitchen. Nice service and food was delicious! Not a lot of kids there but my 5 and 7 year olds like it. Would definitely recommend it for a date night.
Service was really great at explaining the menu. We decided on the tasting menu, and were very happy with it. The oyster shot was amazing. Another standout was the pork belly rice bowl. On the cocktail end of things, we tried the Rotating Duke's Martini and the Barrel Blended Sazerac and both were exceptional. The pace and portion sizing of the tasting menu was just right! We hope to visit Pidgin again next time we are in Vancouver!
Service st he bar was excellent and the food was wonderful
Thanks for the great wine and sake pairings!!
Our waiter was stellar and the menu challenged our taste buds.
Will definitely recommend and return soon.
The food was lovely. Perfect for sharing. Everything feels down to earth but the food is sophisticated - but not fancy. Loved it.
Extremely overpriced. Service is outstanding but the food isn’t so much.
My fourth or fifth visit to Pidgin. This reservation was a work dinner for four people. The service was lovely and the food was delicious.
Truly an outstanding experience. We had a tasting menu and our server was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the food, ingredients and preparation. We loved everything he suggested.
The environment of Pidgin was incredible. The design makes you to want to stay more than a moment. The attention was incomparable, the waiter explained us the menu with such details that you knew exactly what you went to taste. It was a really nice restaurant, we liked it so much!
Had the tasting menu. The server worked with us to provide the food that met our needs. Combined with a wine and sake pairing. Server explained each dish to us. Asian food using Italian and French principles. Some incredible flavour combinations. The mushrooms were particularly good. An amazing experience. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Outstanding service from our table staff. Can’t speak highly enough about the job that our servers did to talk about the dishes and wine that accompanied our meal
It was excellent night for my birthday. Excellent service. Best dish definitely four gras rice. Must try.
Their Foie Gras Rice Bowl was phenomenally good. I visit every time when I’m in Vancouver! Best fusion cuisine.
The food and drinks were fantastic, and the space had lots of natural light.
Our server was efficient and thoughtful and his overall performance was excellent.
The gnocchi were unfortunately too starchy tasting and the hot/spice factor was overwhelming. The chicken dish was mediocre - bland tasting and the quality of chicken was on par with a standard pub.
When attempting a limited menu style, it is absolutely vital that your quality of meats/produce be nothing short of sublime and also, the tastes be divine...
Foei Gras was really good. Cocktails were good as well. We had the samurai one.
No idea why it took me so many years to finally try PidGin. Had the best cocktail in the city. All the dishes + dessert were fantastic as well. Rich, balanced flavours. Perfect portion sizes. Jordan’s service was primo. Coming back soon for sure! This is also my first OpenTable review (I wanted to save it for the most perfect dining experience - and that was PidGin).
If your concept is family style shared plates, then the serving sizes should be a bit larger. Leg of Lamb was more like a few butterflies of Lamb hidden under greens. The choice of music was bizarre (very generic top 40 hits) and the volume was too high to have a clear conversation. Food quality was good, clean and well prepped- but the noise in the dining room did not make for a fine dining experience
One of our favorite places in Vancouver. The tasting menu is excellent. Fresh, flavorful and innovative.
Drinks were good and the staff was friendly. It would be nice if there were more food items on the happy hour menu. The tables are a bit too close to each other.
Pidgin is always good. We regularly have household debates about where to take out-of-towners to dinner. We're always torn between trying somewhere new and going to Pidgin again. Most of the time Pidgin wins out and every single time, everyone loves the meal and experience.
The menu (both food and drink) are spectacular (get the Korean Rice Cakes), but more impressive are the staff. The serving staff, in particular, are remarkably knowledgable and extremely helpful. A++
The foie gras bowl is a must try - amazing!
The chicken karaage was outstanding
This is easily my favourite restaurant in Vancouver. Try the daily pickles and the mushrooms in brown butter.
Location can be better, everything else are perfect!
The service was outstanding and our meals were beautifully presented. In fact, the chef presented each of our main courses and explained the different flavors we would experience. The pork belly was rich and perfectly cooked and was paired with delectable flavor shots of kimchi pear. Really creative cooking and I highly suggest you try.
Awsome flavors bold.combination in a relax and casual environment. Their porc belly rice bowl is a show stopper.
The food was elaborate and very interesting, so you need to be a little adventurous in your taste to come here. There is nothing on the menu that I could prepare at home, and I have a decent repertoire. The avacado and Dungeness crab dish was particularly delicious. You need two or three dishes each + desert, and that makes the prix-fix menu attractive - I might do that next time.
Service was just ok, our server didn’t seem confident or very attentive.
The food was delicious and well made, however, our server wasn't quite attentive. He took much too long to return to ask whether we wanted to order more or grab the bill. He didn't ask if we wanted to order more drink either and was very absent overall.
My first time at Pidgin was a lovely experience. Can't wait to go back!
We visited Vancouver on our honeymoon- food was outstanding and surprising. Ryan provides wonderful service and offered up a lot of additional places to check out in our limited timeline. A
We could have stopped at the Oyster shooters. Delicious topped with green apple granita. We went vegetarian after that and went through many flavours - smoky peppers to sweet beets.
Found Pidgin on Eater 38 when we were in Vancouver visiting UBC. The neighbourhood was a bit questionable but once inside the ambiance and the food was just amazing. My favourite was the sablefish but everything was good.
